I predict an offensive explosion with Carlos busting out of his slump with 2 dingers and 5 ribbies. Santos will get a no decision though, as the Crew wins 9-7 when CL hits his second in eighth to give Milwaukee the lead.

I don't think I'm too worried about tonight. I think Victor matches up fine against the red birds.

It's a night game, Victor will be fine.

It's a night game alright, but since Vic is on the mound that means we won't have any offense. Matt "Brawny" Morris will help take care of that.

I'm very excited for this series, however. It may show a lot about the make-up of this club.

I am not sure about the weather in STL tonight. It looks like thunderstorms might be a possibility.

Rainout means doubleheader, which means day game for Vampire - and he gets hosed in day games.

Hmmm... any thoughts about the logic of spot-starting Eveland for Vampire if it's a day-game double-header?

Victor still wouldn't pitch during the day. If it was a doubleheader tomorrow, he could pitch the 2nd game, with the scheduled starter pitching the first.

very sunny right now in STL. According to local news, only T-storms expected this afternoon...not a cloud in the sky at the moment. Should be at the game tonite, looking forward to it!

Have fun rwa12!!! My weather report shows scattered t-storms which means that it might rain a little then stop. It does not look like a sustained rain that will postpone the game entirely.

Quick weather update for you guys...what I hope is the worst just passed. T-Storms moved through, but there doesn't seem to be anything major coming behind it...I'm off to Busch, lets go crew!!

I'm still having back problems, and took a muscle relaxer just a while ago, it's actually making this Bob Brainerd pre-game out-takes/goofs rather funny.

Quite honestly, the guy is rather quick witted when he gets tongue- tied.

I'd be excited if Carlos got just one hit vs the Cardinals.

Carlos Lee vs STL this year: 0 for 23, 1 BB, 7 K

Off topic...

Does anyone have a strapless, sleeveless shirt I can borrow? We took the kid to the lake yesterday, and I would have been better off just setting my shoulders on fire. It's now starting to really itch.

On topic...

I see a Brewer win tonight. Victor is due to get an early 5-0 lead and cruise.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.

how does stl keep winning with lineups like that?

I am calling a 4-3 Milw win. I was 100% wrong in my last prediction for game 3 of the Wash series but, the Brewers jump out early and hang on to this one.

Good pitching, great defense and the fact that Rolen, Sanders and Molina are all sitting.

Rickie really seems like a nice guy, but he needs to work on his interview skills. I'm sure he's a little nervous, however he kept saying "so, um" and "you know" quite a bit. I'm sure he'll get better.
