Davis has horrible command today, obviously, but did you honestly say he has the worst command you have ever seen, have you ever seen a game when he is pitching well. When he is on he is right on the black

I'm laughing....haha.....I'm sorry to say this to you Davis lovers but he is NO #2 pitcher in the major leagues. Sorry.

Neither were Jamey Wright, Scott Karl, Jeff Juden and Jimmy Haynes, yet the Brewers trotted them out every 5th day, calling them #2 starters. Davis is what he is: an average-to-above average ML starting pitcher. On a good team, he win's 12-16 games a year consistently. On this team? Who knows.

Yup...it was me who jinxed him and gave up the 2 HR's this inning.....oh yeah, it was me who walked the 4 batters and couldn't find the strike zone. Yup...sorry Doug....all my fault.

Hey at least the Phils put up 4 in the first against Mark Prior!!! Cubs still suck!

Back to stickin' boys.

Great minds think alike BrewCrewKid.

Who do we have in the bullpen that could eat some innings today, I know we were spent after Tuesday's game, but could we see De La Rosa possibly?

Is anyone actually watching the game? Watching the mlb gameday it shows a lot of Doug's pitches in the zone and called balls. Not sure how that works.

Chad Moeller will go yard.

EDIT - I was wrong, oh well. Anyway, Davis could still give us six innings provided he stays in the game, as I think Ned will push him high in his pitch count if he starts throwing more strikes.

Davis easily has the worst command of any pitcher I've ever seen in my life.

Well, that's a strong statement. 'Easily', no less.

Yeah hilarious. Who would you rather have, Kris Benson?

Good Lord, the man gives up homers to Beltran and Piazza and it's like we're throwing Quevedo back out there again. There was a time not terribly long ago when Rafael Roque started Opening Day for this team...

All that said these guys tend to give leads back the next half-inning more than just about any staff I can remember watching (maybe it's because the Crew is actually -getting- the leads in the first place).

Something has changed about Davis, he is not attacking the strike zone to say the least,

Let me guess now. The same Brewer batters that racked up 7 hits and a handful of walk in 2 2/3 inns, will now go 16 straight outs to the same pitcher.

This team is, as I always say, full of talent, but they struggle to apply it. They are a wee scared to be front runners. They expect to lose.

C'mon guys... change that mojo.

As I type... c'mon guys do it now!

To make the game quicker, perhap Doug should just ask the umpire to start each odd batter on a 1-0 count and each even batter on a 2-0 count.

"my gosh how many hrs has piazza hit against the brewers in his career"

Coming in to the game, Piazza has 16 HRs in 158 AB in his career against the Brewers, with an OPS of 1.160.

Enough already. Get Davis out of there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
