I think the potential nightmare from managers will come from all of the customers that neglected to read the fine print. With that said, I hope to make it to a Taco Bell whenever this redemption date happens to be.

plus from 2-5, means that anyone that has a normal job (9-5), will not be able to get their free taco. You are pretty much pandering to students, 2nd shifters, etc.

Yeah...personally, while I still go there once in a great while, I pretty much "out grew" Taco Bell once I was done with college.

I'll guarantee they make way more on a soda than they lose on the taco. I worked at a fast food place in high school and I believe my manager said that a fountain soda costs 4.4 cents. The fancier plastic cups were actually more expensive than the soda.

that sounds about right at my church festival, i know we pay 2 cents a cup for soda and sell soda for 2 dollars. You can get like 5 taco's (?) for that kind of profit.

Back when I worked at Culver's, the manager told us that the most expensive part of a cup of soda is the ice.

Back in the early 90's, pop cost 3 cents and the cup was a nickel. They'll lose some money on the tacos, but more than make up for it with the increased traffic.

Mmmmm they should do free tacos for every stolen base by Weeks/Hart/Braun next year. TBell gets free money from 2-5 on a Thursday/whenever every week, and I get a free taco every week or so.
