  1. I think Bush and Capuano have to pass through waivers due to their time in the majors. 1992casey has posted the information in the past.
  2. I would take Branyan over Counsell if Branyan could play 2B and SS.
  3. Let me start by saying, good thread topic. You have restored my faith in BF.net. This is why I come here. I don't think Villanueva going to the minors this year was something that had seriously crossed my mind. It would make sense though to have him take Gallardo's spot in the rotation untill he comes back then send him down to the minors to continue starting. Somebody in our rotation is going to get hurt and having him in AAA ready to come up and start on short notice would be a pretty good idea. I personally think we would be better off trading Vargas and keeping Villanueva in Milwaukee. personally, I think it would be worse to send parra to nashville than villanueva, since parra is older (and better). clearly I'm in the minority. Yes, you are, but that doesn't make you wrong. The main reason Villanueva is chosen over Parra is experience. Experience counts more than pitching well in Spring Training.
  4. I think you are wrong. I would have said slack-jawed idiots.
  5. I just vote for whatever katuluu votes for.
  6. I vaguely remember that 5 tool pitcher thread.
  7. No kidding. I was thinking the same thing. We should trade Braun because we have had a losing record since he came up. He has to go.
  8. I would think after last year we would all be a little skeptical about calling a start that only goes 6 innings "quality."
  9. I am ready for the offseason already.
  10. I personally find that adult conversations are overrated.
  11. There was a save given out for the 30-3 game last year. Just pointing out how lame saves really are.
  12. Who was the 5-tool poster?
  13. Yup wins matter. Vargas at 11-6 was almost as good as Sheets at 12-5. Only one win difference.

  17. I see guess the only negative I see is that we don't have any prospects good enough to play 3B in AAA. I am sure every team makes these kinds of AAA filler signings. I really don't see why anybody really has a problem with either this or the Nunez signing. It isn't like we signed Wes Helms here. I guess a career .327 OBP isn't to bad for a AAA filler/injury callup type guy.
  18. So we have our left handed, high OBP, thirdbaseman minus the OBP.
  19. Just to clear things up a bit, Pujols was hit with one out. We were down by 3-2 at that point. So Pujols ended up on 1B with one out with the Brewers down 3-2.
  20. Maybe he opted for a perm.
  21. Ok, OBP of .206 and SLG of .132. I knew it was something pretty low. Eliminates almost everybody except pitchers. Bad hitting pitchers at that. Those thresholds were also qualified with "league average hitter" meaning a guy with league average speed or bunting ability. Where would the threshold be for sonebody with better speed or bunting ability? How fast or good at bunting does that guy have to be? When do you bunt in a sacrafice situation with a faster guy and expect an infield hit instead of a sacrafice? Can you tell I like the more ambiguous areas of baseball?
  22. I think that if you have heard about it or can buy it in a store, then that group is probably a sellout. Sellout is not a bad thing. Every group I have heard of is a sellout. Nickelback is a step above a boy band. A small step, but at least they play their own instruments. Look up the lyrics to that Tool song. It is good.
  23. Track #7 off of Tool's Aenima CD. I would post the name of the song, but while the words are not swear words they are also not something I want my 10 year old son asking about quite yet. Pretty much how I feel about people who use the term "sellout." Unless you are not making money off of your music you are a sellout.
  24. Sounds vaguely familiar... Flashbacks to 2006 when Cappy had just come off of 18 wins and Sheets was hurt maybe?
