    Good luck with the Berliner Weisse. New Glarus has a 20th anniversary beer out right now. One batch limited quantities. Not sure what else to recommend without a better idea what you like. I would say Wisconsinite from since you mentioned D-Man. It is an all Wisconsin beer(the only one, even has Wisconsin yeast) very similar to a hefe.

    All the swing stuff looks the same as last year. He is having more balls fall in though. He is making a little better contact. His LD% is up 2% while his FB% is down 2%. His INFB% is way down. 6.8% this year. It looks like he is maybe getting a little lucky this year but was really unlucky last year. BABIP .296 last year and .376 this year. If I had to guess(and I do since I don't know where the xBABIP tool I had is) I would say Gomez should have been around .320 last year and .350 this year.

    I think you are overvaluing that option. He is in AAA and still has 3 options remaining. I don't think it is realistic to think it will be worth keeping him in AAA for the better part of 4 seasons. I could see some argument for not wanting to use a 40-man spot if Yuni was not around.

    Why would you want to make outs in the middle of a rally? You stack your good hitters to improve your chances of scoring runs. It is easier to score runs if you string hits together.

    I asked this question a couple of years ago in the stats forum. It is technology that already exists called FieldFX, but I think it is only in a couple of stadiums right now on an experimental basis. The knowledge gained from this technology is pretty powerful, so I don't know who has access to it--I think the powers that be are trying to figure out how best to use it before it is publicized. I don't know if it will ever be publicly available. There is also the 2TB of data per game to sift through.

Gomez is currently tied for 1st. Kind of puts into perspective the year he is having. In particular "Does UZR tell us what actually happened on the field?" UZR has flaws but it is probably the best we can get right now. It would be nice to know how well a player fields balls depending on where they are positioned. Basically buckets with the player position as the center. Then another stat so you can tell if the player has good defense based on positioning or talent.

    UZR and DRS would be much better with better input. They are decent but still rely on stringers. If it was based on FieldFX(which may never be made public) they would both be better. Here is part of the problem. Go down to the "Consistency from year to year" and "Does UZR tell us what actually happened on the field?"paragraphs on the bottom.

    It would be 3.5 years control of Gomez. He signed a 3 year extension, 2014-2016.

    Weeks always provided more upside. His downside if Gennett's upside. From most accounts it isn't like Gennett is a good defender either.

    I thought they were still looking into the evidence. I didn't know Brau's suspension was imminent. How much would it really hurt us to lose Braun the rest of this year? Oh no we lose enough games to stay in the top 5 of the draft.
