  1. Broxton is better than Schwarber
  2. It's too bad Scocia is still the manager there somehow. I have zero faith that he'll be able to use Ohtani in any kind of creative manner.
  3. Anywhere but the Cubs. AL would be preferable.
  4. This is very surprising. The good news is that arbitration contracts aren't guaranteed. I'm guessing they'll have a ST battle between Bandy and Vogt for the backup catcher spot and DFA the other one. Also would imagine that Susac gets DFA'd to clear a 40 man spot at some point. I would think there's a good chance he'd clear and go back to AAA.
  5. Go get them David!
  6. What are the chances the Brewers go after him now that the Braves have to cut him loose?
  7. Why not just start Jungmann ourselves if you're interested in tossing out a mediocre pitcher??
  8. I'll admit to never having been to Maryvale, but based on everything I've read about the area, I have no idea why the team would pay to stay there.
  9. The nice thing about most of our talent being pre arby is that we could actually afford to make a signing like Arietta without it having too much financial impact (relatively speaking). I would feel a lot better about a deal like that if it were only 3 years though.
  10. I think it was the prospect guru at fangraphs that said recently that he still has legit potential as a starter so hopefully they stretch him out.
  11. Houser has been removed from the roster. Looks like he had a solid fall, excited to see what he can do in 2018.
  12. Hernan and his sub-.300 OBP are more likely to be traded for minimal return than extended.
  13. Nelson would have been the obvious candidate, but I hope they don't do anything. Shaw, Santana and Knebel aren't such sure things that we need to extend them right now unless we get a sizable discount. Let's see how they do next year, especially with Villar's flop so near in the rear view mirror.
  14. Disappointed to see how sporadically our guys are playing, I'm going to be really bummed if I don't get to see all four hitters when I'm out there in a couple of weeks. My concern level for Ray is also rising rapidly, hopefully he's starting to heat up and can finish strong.
  15. I'm guessing the dollars won't preclude us from bringing in Walker or trading for Kinsler if the price is right, just a nice safeguard.
  16. I own a game worn Gabe Gross jersey from 2008 that I try to wear to games as much as possible in the hopes that a die hard like us sees it and gets a chuckle. I still think he could have been an effective platoon player out in RF!
  17. It's 3 games, awards talk at this point is beyond ridiculous. Just chant his name instead or something.
  18. I LOVE Giannis but MVP chants 3 games into the season is embarrassing for everyone involved.
  19. I think his "genius" has been waaaay overblown and this series shows he's just a crusty old traditionalist like the rest of them. God bless Craig Counsell.
  20. As an out of towner, I don't get to drink a lot of the local brews so it's a fun treat to try something new whenever I get up to Miller Park. Plus, as someone else said, $12 is just the cost of doing business at a game. It'd be cheaper just to stay at home, watch on TV, eat your own food and drink your own beer, but that's missing the point, right? When I go to a game, I'm going to get a couple of beers and a couple of sausages because that's what I enjoy and $100 at the park a few times a year isn't going to kill me.
  21. I'm a big fan of all the food upgrades in general, but the beer upgrades are really the stars of the show.
  22. I will go to my grave convinced that Mat Gamel was the next in line for offensive Brewers stud prospects before the injury bug wiped him out.
  23. I'd much rather sign Walker for a couple of years and keep our prospects.
  24. Cook started off very, very slowly. I'm not worried about Bennett, especially since i'm sure he's been doing a lot of blocking with all the o-line injuries.
  25. Hell yeah, I love it. Just like McCarthy fitting the team for rings before the super bowl.
