    I think it's ridiculous for everyone to be dismissing the fact that their starting rotation is better than ours, but let's play this game. Which team has the advantage? Our offense beating their pitching, or their offense beating our pitching. Listen, I want to believe that we have a shot at the World Series, but I'm afraid that the only way that happens is if someone else knocks LA out of the playoffs before we have to play them...

    Skubal was going to the Dodgers all along. Didn't really matter what we offered, they would have added until they beat us. I'm not 100% sold that there wasn't some kind of foul play going on here either. The entire situation was sketchy. Boras is a slug.

    Truth, and the Dodgers are not the 2025 Dodgers team either, they added Skubal, and we counter with May. We are not playing the same game as the Dodgers.

    My point is, you can't bench guys who are actually hitting/producing for guys who are not. Doesn't matter what Ortiz was doing in June, fact is, he's been mashing the last month (dare I say, he has been our best hitter during that time), Hamilton comes off the IL, and suddenly Ortiz is an afterthought. He didn't go into a slump, he simply isn't playing daily because Bunty comes off the IL, and had done nothing previously to dethrone Ortiz. Murphy Murphing people needs to stop.

    What have you seen that says that isn't going to happen again? Is this what we have to hang our hats on, losing to the eventual WS Champion? We can have the best record in MLB every single regular season for the next decade, but that means jack squat when it comes to the playoffs. Beating the Cubs last season in the playoffs was our World Series. If it happens again this year, it will also be our World Series because I just can't see this team, this offense knocking out the evil empire.

    Yet Ortiz continues to get benched for Bunty McBunterson. Ortiz and Pratt should be playing every day, with an occasional day off, like most big leaguers... We can't afford to bench guys who are actually hitting since we know our MGR won't bench his boy crushes Yelich and Hamilton.

    Giants recalled INF Eddys Leonard from Triple-A Sacramento. Leonard had slashed .287/.371/.502 with 12 homers and eight steals in 288 plate appearances for Triple-A Nashville in Milwaukee’s system before being let go. In just eight games in Sacramento, Leonard has hit .143/.273/.571 with four home runs and five RBI.     True, but there were some who would have done it, in fact, some wanted to add Pena to Henderson plus other top 30 guys to boot. Crazy talk... I'm still in mourning over losing Frias and Ragsdale, to the Cardinals is what makes it sting twice as hard.

    Read his entire post... His point was, we traded Peralta for Sproat and Jett. Now we traded Frias and Ragsdale for May (and JoJo). May basically replaces Freddy. What did we actually gain? We lost Frias and Ragsdale for essentially nothing, and had we just kept Freddy, we would still have Frias and Ragsdale, and be in the same basic position. I don't think Freddy would have cratered like he did if he had stayed with the Brewers. I think we would have seen the same basic Freddy we always had seen. So in a nutshell, would you rather have good ole' Freddy, Frias and Ragsdale, or would you rather have May, JoJo, Sproat and Jett? To be honest, I'd rather have Freddy, Frias and Ragsdale.

    I'm just glad that Murph has his kids at the press conference. They are instrumental in getting down to the nuts and bolts of tonight's game as they sit there, board out of the skulls.
