  1. I want Braun back on a team friendly contract so he can get a proper send off. Love or hate him, he deserves it! I think he can be productive as a DH only playing 4 or 5 times a week. Keep his SWAG for one more year! He is what, 40 hits shy of 2000, be nice if he can get that in Milwaukee. Regardless of what his wife wants, I'm sure Braun himself would like to have that 2K hits.
  2. I'm done with the Houser experiment. He needs to be in the bullpen, end of story. we simply can't count him starting another year with the 2020 results. Whatever he had in his first couple of starts disappeared in a hurry. If we plan to start him at the beginning of 2021 as a #5, I can see that, but if he looks anything like the 2020 Houser, he needs to be pulled from the rotation.
  3. I think they will stay... Just talk and headlines.
  4. Yelich is the guy they should be grooming for 1B.
  5. Hiura isn't big enough to play 1B. Yes, Prince Fielder wasn't big either, but that was his natural position, and he held his own most of the time.
  6. Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina "have discussed privately the possibility of going elsewhere to play, together." It's hard to imagine either playing for another team, and a reunion with the Cardinals for both is certainly still possible, if not likely. However, it would appear the veteran battery is keeping their options open. Molina, 38, has expressed a desire to play for two more seasons, and Goold says the Cards "have had discussions about what a return contract would look like." Wainwright, 39, surely would only command a one-year deal. RELATED: Yadier Molina SOURCE: St. Louis Post-Dispatch Oct 4, 2020, 1:06 PM ET Reuntied in Milwaukee perhaps? I'd love to have Waignwright for a year. but my hate for Molina is too strong to want him in a Brewer uniform.
  7. yup, agreed.
  8. CLAP-CLAP-CLAP! Awesomeness!
  9. Maybe Stearns should give him decent infielders, then Sogard wouldn’t be a good option to play. Sogard is NEVER a good option to play, regardless of who else is on the team. If Sogard is your best option, something went terribly wrong from the beginning. He is probably a great teamate and a great human being, but I never want to see him in a Brewers uniform again.
  10. AWESOME! My how things have changed...
  11. this. Houser proved he is not a starter, and we continue running him out there, something is definately wrong. Give Freddy a shot, he won't be worse than Houser, and if he isn't ready yet, put him back in the bullpen. Freddy is 24, he's a kid... He tried the rotation a couple years ago, failed, but he's so young, he deserves another shot.
  12. Time to "POUR IT ON" Padres!
  13. His career OBP is .374. Not even close to being true. ummmmm, yeah, I know it isn't literally true.
  14. Tatis is just ALWAYS on base, or circling them...lol Stupid looking hair though.
  15. Plus the Padres uniforms are really awesome!
  16. I am rooting SOOOOO hard against the Cardinals tonight... I find this Padre team pretty easy to root for, I'll probably root for them to win it all if they can get by these jerks tonight!
  17. Agreed, I see a lot of guys similiar to the crap we brought in this last off season.
  18. Agreed, I see a lot of guys similiar to the crap we brought in this last off season.
  19. Wasn't it Ricketts who had been suggesting that they were going to be cutting payroll, instead of adding to it? Can't imagine his stance has changed after the $$ lost during COVID, but maybe that new TV network will start paying off for them right away? I don't trust a word that comes out of the mouth of anyone in that organization...
  20. I can see him getting 40 million for one year if the Yankees get involved. I wouldn't rule out the Cubs either.
  21. The idea of starting the year with Lauer and Lindblom in the rotation is kind of gross.
  22. All I know is that I just don't trust Hader anymore. Dude gives me butterflies everytime he comes into the game. I am all for trading him for the right package, especially since Williams seems to have come into his own... We probably missed his high water mark on a trade, but he still has a ton of value, so if the right offer crosses Stearn's desk, I hope he pulls the trigger.
  23. 2 of our greatest needs don't really have a lot of impact players that we could realistically sign. 1B I see almost nothing that excites me. 3B, would be great to get LeMahieu but he'll probably stay in yankee pinstripes, we couldn't afford him. I'd love to sign Turner on a 2 year deal, even if we have to over pay. In all honesty, I'm pretty sure we will be bringing back Gyroko at 1B/3B anyway. I think signing Wainwright on a one year deal would be pretty sweet, but I think he will want at least 2years. He had a really nice year on the comeback trail. Bauer is a pipedream.
