  1. Colombia beats Mexico, Mexico destroys the USA, then Great Britain beats Colombia, crazy.
  2. That's not true, Jimmy G has signed with the Raiders and the Jets lost Mike White to the Dolphins, so they're running out of options beyond Rodgers.
  3. Another RSN is going belly up: https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Daily/Closing-Bell/2023/02/24/rsn-breaking-news.aspx This affects four MLB teams, the Astros, Mariners, Rockies and Pirates. Teams have until March 31 to reach an agreement to take their rights back, if not, they're going into Chapter 7.
  4. The Brewers have been using a 6-man rotation for years now anyway. With Ashby out I'm guessing it'll be Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta, Lauer, Miley and Houser as the swingman who goes to the bullpen occasionally as off days allow to keep the other five on five days rest. With Ashby's injury, if he comes back in a couple of months they're likely going to be careful with his innings, so unless there's an injury or someone struggling he'll probably settle into the Houser role.
  5. No, you can't. If you're out of market you can do MLB.TV. In market you could get the games on Youtube TV back when it was FS Wisconsin, but once greedy Sinclair bought it and rebranded to Bally's they jacked the prices up and all the streaming services dropped them, Youtube included. Youtube did get NFL Sunday Ticket starting this year, so that'll cause another small uptick in cord cutting of people who only had DirecTV for that.
  6. Youtube TV is half the price of cable and a much better product, why would I ever pay for cable? Cable is dinosaur that's slowly dying. As of March 2021, only 56% of Americans have cable or satellite, the majority of which are people over 50. Only 34% of people ages 18-29 and 46% of people ages 30-49 have it, and I'm sure those numbers have gone down in the last two years. A sure fire way of not expanding your fan base to the younger generation is to only have it available on a platform few young people use. Once the kids and teens of today who've only grown up with streaming become adults those numbers are going to drop even further.
  7. Bally grossly overpaid for the RSNs at a time when most people were cutting the cord. Then they overpriced them so much to cause all the streaming services that carried the channels to drop them, so they could introduce their own streaming service for $20/month, which doesn't seem to be going too well for them. The RSN model is dying, and Bally Sports going under would speed that up. The RSN model going away would help small market teams with a league wide TV deal as well as fans being able to see the games without the dumb blackout rules. Hey MLB, if you just give me access to Brewers games on MLB.TV I'd happily fork over the money every year to see all games. This shouldn't be that difficult.
  8. The original Night Court took awhile to get its footing though too. The first few seasons were a bit rough and they went through a ton of cast changes before solidifying the cast, only Harry Anderson, John Larroquette and Richard Moll were on from start. I agree it didn't knock my socks off, but I liked it enough to keep giving it a chance for the cast and the writing to find their footing. Speaking of reboots, I really liked That '90s Show, it really felt like a continuation of the original. Red and Kitty were great as always and the cameos from the original cast were all pretty good. It took the new kids a few episodes to find their chemistry, but if you liked the original you'll probably like the reboot.
  9. The Bears traded the #32 pick for Chase Claypool, lol.
  10. No. A 24 year old is fighting for his life. If they were talking about a 30 year old earthquake they would and should have been raked over the coals for being insensitive to the situation.
  11. It's more of an advantage for the Packers than it is a disadvantage for the Lions, in that the wind could be taken out of the Lions sails right before the game. Though if I were a Lions fan it would suck to get hyped to watch a game for the playoffs only for it to be meaningless before it starts. It is a big disadvantage for the Seahawks though. The only way they get in is if the Lions win, but by winning their game they remove any incentive for the Lions to win. Not having both games at the same time really hurts Seattle.
  12. I'm not going to complain, but what a big advantage for the Packers. If I was a Lions or Seahawks fan I'd be pretty upset right now.
  13. Talk about a roller coaster of momentum swings.
  14. It absolutely blows my mind the Colts went for it on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the FG to make it an 11 point game.
  15. What I really miss is the old Winter Tour. Dinner, autographs and Q&A for like $10, and it was so much easier for those of us an hour plus away from Milwaukee.
  16. I really like them, a very nice blend of modern and retro. I absolutely love the Twin Cities jersey, so very clean, if I were a Twins fan I'd be snapping one of those up. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the new M logo on the hats, I'd have brought back the M from the 80s/90s uniforms.
  17. Because the Cardinals had a Covid breakout and got locked in their hotel in Milwaukee for a week. It was when that happened and the entire home opening series got postponed that he opted out. I think that was a bit of a wakeup call that MLB didn't have a handle on it like they thought they did, and I don't blame him for a second.
  18. Melanie Newman (play-by-play), Chris Young (analyst), Hannah Keyser (analyst), and Brooke Fletcher (reporter)
  19. No you don't, you just need a free Apple account, I never signed up for the trial or gave Apple my payment info.
  20. Do you have a smart TV or streaming device? Download the Apple TV+ app, sign up for a free Apple account, watch the game.
  21. You don't need a trial subscription, you can get it with a free Apple account.
  22. This game is free to anyone with a phone, tablet, computer or smart TV. What makes games difficult to watch is forcing people to have cable or dish.
  23. Bally Sports app is down, it's a trash app but at least I can normally watch the game. And they want to charge people $20 a month for this? What an awful company.
  24. If they're coming from Milwaukee, yeah, it's a bit of a pain, especially if they don't have the luxury to take a day or two off from work. I'm only about a half hour from Green Bay so it's not as big of deal for me.
  25. Gold package gets Patriots and Titans, nice, probably the two most attractive games besides the Cowboys. Gold had the Rams game last year, so I'm fine with not getting them this year.
