  1. I recently caught the season 3 finale on TBS, as it was the only episode I had never saw. I think it would have been a perfect ending for the series. Jim leaving his corporate interview to ask out Pam, Ryan taking over for Jan, and Jan and Michael moving into together would have been left to the viewer's imagination. For purely selfish reasons, I'm glad the show is still on the air. There still has been some great episodes even if we have to sift through 4 or 5 duds a year.
  2. It definitely was. He looked about as good as he did when healthy last year. He still played poor transition D at times, made some poor passes, and took a few bad shots, but I'm still shocked he was able to play as well as he did. Delfino had been playing pretty good since starting out so bad, but my god Ron Artest destroyed him out there. I've never seen a player taken out of their game so badly.
  3. I'm also in the market for a new phone/service provider. With Att right now, but like Lodiness, I've had bad luck with them. The only reason I'd consider sticking with att is because of the iphone, but I already have an itouch, so I don't really need one. Anyways, I did some research and cNet gave the Eris a good review, along with many users on the site who agree with you Hoss. It's also only $99 at Verizon, so I'm definitely leaning towards this one. I'd look into it as well.
  4. Wow, after watching the "block" replay, Kobe also took at least 4 steps. Classic. Catch it while you can.
  5. Yep, that would be like an ump calling a runner safe because the 2B didn't actually touch the base when turning the double play. You just don't call it late unless you have some ulterior motive.
  6. To be fair, I think the second one was legit. But that's rarely called, especially close and late. I don't blame people for not spending money on the Bucks based on principle, but I think that hurts the Bucks more than the league as a whole.
  7. Yeah, what the hell was the roaring cheer at the end of the game all about? I was wondering why the place was a morgue sans Squad 6 tonite, but I guess there is a large amount of Laker fans in Milwaukee. Who knew. burnie: This is how the reffing is nearly every night. I always get ticked off at the MLB umps during the season, but it's amazing how good we have it in baseball compared to this crap. Hopefully Donaghy's book blows up and Stern is forced to step down. The only games that a reffed somewhat fair are games like Bucks v Timberwolves, or Bucks v Memphis. No superstar or big market to appease in matchups like that.
  8. Without a doubt. I'm taking a week off from watching this garbage(by that I mean the WWF reffing.) I have no idea how David Stern sleeps at night. Also, Ersan has weak nerves. He's bricked free throws close and late a few times now. Great overall game from him, but that's what will stick out. We shouldn't even be talking about this, because Bogut toook a TEXTBOOK charge from Kobe, but still, it's on SKiles to start adjusting.
  9. Why didn't the Phillies just go all out, and keep Lee for the year and then take the comp picks for him? A Halladay, Lee, Halmes rotation would have been unreal, and no question would have made them the favorites in the NL again. On a side note, I think I'm gonna root for Seattle this year. I like the team Jack Z is building up there, sans Griffey.
  10. Yeah, and I'm glad they're back to .500. Bogut has been great the last three games, but it took his coach calling him out through the media to get to him. It's gonna be interesting to see what kind of numbers he ends up with this year.
  11. Ridnour is playing tonight!! Does have a massive brace on his elbow though.
  12. Garnett just went out of his way to elbow Bogut in the ribs. At least they called it.
  13. Bucks v Celtics has been a pretty good game. Kevin Garnett just broke Ridnour's arm and kicked multiple people while chasing a loose ball. Skiles was T'd up on the play. If all was equal in the NBA, Garnett would be ejected every night. He's just such a classless dude.
  14. He, along with Jon Miller, are the only guys worth a damn on ESPN. Hopefully he's on his way to MLB Network.
  15. I think The Office "jumped the shark" last season during the Super Bowl episode. The cold opening had Dwight starting a fire and lighting off firecrackers, supposedly to test the employees' exit strategy. I thought the episode was really funny, but I can't take the show seriously anymore since then. It's not even remotely realistic.
  16. Damn. It's always nice to see a guy come up and do well after he was thought to be organizational fodder. What terrible luck. It will be tough for him to make it back.
  17. Aren't you from the Northwest part of the country? Maybe I'm way off, but I thought I remember you saying that.
  18. No, I didn't say he was no good. I said he looked out of place, which he did. (After he airballed a wide open three to tie from the top against Chicago.) People on RealGM were claming that he was a worse player than his first go-round with the Bucks, which was hilarious, so maybe that's what you're thinking of. My idea to trade Bogut would only be if he shows another year where he mails in 1/4 of the games. He's by far my favorite player on the Bucks, but his effort is really lacking certain games. His D and rebounding should always be a constant if he's gonna earn his contract, which isn't THAT reasonable. 62/5 guaranteed. Up to 73 with incentives.
  19. Yeah, it's amazing what an easy schedule will do for you. Now the hard part of the schedule starts. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't sniff .500 again this year. Bogut has sucked these last three games. I thought he was gonna be a 16/10 player this year after his start, but he is what he is. I'd look to move him next year if he doesn't stick around MKE and work on his FT's and a 15 footer.

  21. That was a very entertaining game, and I typically loathe NCAA athletics. I wonder if Hughes has any shot of getting drafted? He was great last night.
  22. 1) No Country for Old Men 2) There Will Be Blood 3) The Royal Tenenbaums 4) The Departed/Infernal Affairs 5) City of God 6) Snatch 7) Gone Baby Gone 8) The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 9) The 40 Year Old Virgin 10) The Dark Knight Honorable: American Psycho, Forgetting Sarah Marshall Yet to See: Inglorious Basterds Most Overrated: Godspeed beat me to the punch, but Crash was terrible.
  23. It was pretty rough having to listen to him completely stink it up the last few years, but in the long run it was probably worth it because of that "Line drive, base hit. Caught out there." quote. That's gonna be around for a long time.
  24. That's another thing I've liked from Hammond. If he thinks he hit on a second rounder, he's not afraid to give them a 3 year deal. I'd rather do that than give the vet minimum to role players who for the most part suck, and have no potential. Of course, that's exactly what he did to Elson and Malik Allen. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  25. I think PER is a decent offensive efficiency stat, and Michael Redd DID improve on defense last year (he knew he finally had a coach that would bench him if he didn't). That said, I'd say Redd's numbers are probably skewed because he only played 30-odd games last year. He was fine last year, but no way was he well above avg. It's painfully obvious the Bucks are better team with Redd out, allowing the offense to run through Bogut. If Redd was still an elite shooter, he'd be perfect for this team. But he's not. He's been an unathletic (now extremely unathletic) slasher for about 2 years now. Hopefully he never plays another game for the Bucks, and insurance picks up the tab for the next 1.5 years. Ilyasova has me just as excited as Jennings. That guy has the potential to be a devastating defender at the 4 (he's already very good). Great contract by Hammond.
