  1. Looks like Rutchman is on his way out based on this signing. https://birdswatcher.com/orioles-surprise-extension-raises-serious-questions-about-adley-rutschman-s-future-01k38z3kac25
  2. Nice work, Matt! I did notice his hand location at toe touch and the route his hands took have changed a little bit, too. That is probably attributed to the wider stance and foot location at toe touch -- less movement and a more consistent swing.
  3. If nothing else, yesterday's game proved a few things: The Miz has not yet arrived. The Crew can come back when the starting pitcher doesn't have a quality start The Crew still leaves a lot of people on base (LOB 9 in yesterday's game vs. 2 for the Cubs)
  4. Did you see these in person? If so, we should have a GoFundMe to get you tickets for all remaining Brewers games. 😉
  5. Full transparency -- I stepped away from the screen. I can't stand it when he falls apart.
  6. Oh... I wish my one trip to Nashville wasn't during COVID...
  7. This is my biggest concern, too. IIRC, that is why he didn't make the opening day roster. Fill the zone, Miz.
  8. A new drinking game would be to drink every time somebody says, "[the best] in all of baseball."
  9. Daughter got married on Saturday. Storms literally split around the place where we had the wedding so it could be outdoors. Very, very cool! Daddy / Daughter dance went well. Knees hurt a little afterwards. Two more daughters and a son to go... 🤪
  10. <sarcasm> Stick a fork in the Brewers. They are done for the year. </sarcasm>
  11. I have been critical of the hitting coaches in the past. It seems like they have made a major philosophical change. As Statcast has shown, they are shorter to the ball (shorter time to get to the point of letting the top hand go through the zone), but still maintaining the bat speed and even improving it. That also allows them to hit the ball in front of their front leg thereby generating more power. Great job, coaches! Short to... long through.
  12. Bleacher Reports: Free Agents Stock Up or Stock Down (link to article below) 7. 3B Eugenio Suárez, Seattle Mariners: Down What's Going Wrong Before anyone flips out, this is meant to imply Eugenio Suárez's stock is down from where it was a few weeks ago. He does still have 37 home runs, after all, not to mention 57 total since last year's All-Star break. Only four hitters have gone deep more often since then, and that list consists of two MVPs (Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani) and one MVP contender who is now his teammate (Cal Raleigh). And yet, Suárez is only batting .111 with one home run and 27 strikeouts over his last 17 games. Given his age and profile as a bat-first corner infielder with swing-and-miss issues, a slump like that casts an unusually ominous shadow. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25234446-stock-stock-down-mlbs-biggest-upcoming-free-agents
  13. I still wear the Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO t-shirt from that year.
  14. I find it hilarious how people are complaining about the roof. Yes, there was some water that leaked. It sucked. Guess what? In Wrigley, or some other stadium without a roof, there might not be a game today after getting between 5 and 11 inches of rain. Oh... and it wasn't simply a downpour -- there were some very high winds too. I had to drive in that last night and it was not fun.
  15. Would it be possible to put in a face-palm emoji and / or a thinking emoji? I think the face-palm could be used as a, "Duh... no kidding" response. The Thinking one would be, "Hmm... that is a great point". The latter is probably accomplished today by the thumbs up, I suppose.
  16. I don't know what has happened to him. He threw a batting practice changeup waist high to give up the homer. The Yankees have so much talent, but it seems like either the culture, coaching, or the environment of being in New York drags them down. Crazy.
  17. I'm guessing it is like: "You're a knob..." "Well, you are an esker!"
  18. Three shows on Sunday?
  19. How about Len Kasper on the announcing side of things? 😉
  20. I agree. When others have made baserunning mistakes like that, in the doghouse, they would be.
  21. The weather. Wasn’t conducive for good baseball.
  22. I hope nobody gets hurt at the Bristol game. It looks terrible— even more so in 4k.
