  1. For those who aren't aware -- 1982 through 2008 was 26 years. Why are those dates relevant? It is how long it was between playoff appearances for the Brewers. To those who think it would be better for the Brewers not to even make the playoffs, I would ask, "Really? R U Serious?" While I shake my head at some of the decisions Murphy has made, I also try to figure out why he might have made the decisions. How would he know whether or not Milner was reliable? He could have thrown darts at the dartboard, or tested him out during a game. Milner failed and didn't do his job. Murphy was able to do that because the team has a 10-game lead. Murphy has a decision -- does he treat these last 19 games burning white hot trying to beat out the Phillies and Dodgers? I think he is trying to figure out who he is going to take to the playoffs. Milner, in my opinion, should not be on the roster. If he does end up pitching the rest of the year, it should be in a low stress game, period. Let's relax and enjoy the ride.
  2. As much as I would like to see him return, I don't think it will be feasible. So, Ortiz moves to Shortstop. Can they make up the production in the aggregate? What can they get out of a third baseman? If first base wasn't such a black hole, they could count on that.
  3. I lost respect for Chelsea after they hosed over Pulisic.
  4. This is probably an unfortunate biproduct of the starting pitching underperforming in the first half of the year. Hopefully he can turn it around quickly.
  5. That sounds like fun. We have tubed the Wisconsin River a few times and we did have to make sure the water levels were good. I will have to be careful because I burn within 2.3 seconds 🤦‍♂️
  6. Hey @nate82 -- thank you for the list! It appears there are some cool ATV two-hour excursions that we were going to try, but I think that would put a little strain on the day if we are planning to see the game on Saturday. All in all, I think it is going to be a great time. I know we are sitting behind the Brewers dugout on Friday -- third row. Hopefully the AC is good there. BTW for all that are reading this -- I know there are other sites that offer the same type of camaraderie, but there is often other baggage that comes along with that. The community on BrewerFantatic is top-notch. Thank you!!!!!
  7. I'm not sure where we are sitting. I think we are going to try to get there Friday. Saturday is up in the air since some other people in the group want to do other things. Not sure what else there is to do in Phoenix.
  8. I don't know if you can put a value on his clubhouse presence. I hear from so many players how he keeps things light and also holds others accountable when needed. A classy leader and a mental boost to others on the team. Of course, winning helps that... 😉 So... get 'er done this year, Brewers!
  9. Hmmm. Lord willing, we will be in Phoenix to watch them play. Wouldn't that be cool?
  10. They would have to move Bichette's salary, wouldn't they? Bichette has been a huge disappointment this year.
  11. Why can’t Brewers pitchers fill the zone?
  12. Whenever I see Suter, I think of the “Dumb and Dumber” skit.
  13. Not as insufferable… by much. Maybe if he called himself a “badass” or if he was from California…
  14. I never thought I would say this: I miss the Wisconsin Dells and Potawatomi commercials. These political ones are awful.
  15. Careful. Ryan Braun’s rookie year was much better. Make sure Chourio doesn’t hit the PEDs.
  16. I miss not having the pitch clock on screen.
  17. Maybe get the ump some water or something?
  18. Yes, but you don’t want to make the first out at third.
  19. Serious question: has it been the Brewers plan to get up 0-2 and then pick the corners and drive up the pitch count? This is Freddy’s MO
  20. Can’t be any worse, can it? 🤦‍♂️
  21. I think there are a dozen or so stadiums in WISCONSIN that are bigger than the Northwestern temporary home field. it will be interesting when the Badgers play there later this year.
  22. I, too, figured they would not do well. I was going to wait until after the end of the year to beg humble forgiveness and admit my lack of vision. 39 lashes here...
  23. This reminds me of dialog from Bull Durham: Crash: Did you hit me with your right hand or did you hit me with your left? Huh? Did you hit me with your right hand or did you hit me with your LEFT? Nuke: My left. Crash: Good! That's good; when you get in a fight with a drunk you don't hit him with your pitching hand. God, I can't keep giving you these free lessons so quit screwin' around and help me up.
