  1. Target is getting a shipment in on the 17th.
  2. But Counsell is old and could get hurt at any time. We can't be embarrassed again so we must get Barmes to make sure everything will be ok in case Hardy and Counsell get hurt.
  3. Kotchman is a 1B. Probably means McPherson. He's a guy I never understood why the Angels kept. He just doesn't fit in on that team. Last year: .261/.298/.478 Low average, high ISoP guy. Not sure he fits in with the Brewers right now, but given his age (26), he likely could be had for Clark.
  4. The rules changed with this last contract. FAs can still negotiate even if they aren't offered arby.
  5. Yeah the Brewers need more sub 750 OPS guys.
  6. Which is? Seriously, I'd love the Brewers to eat his contract. But he isn't Hammonds since he is a Melvin signing.
  7. Depends if you want them in teh rotation over Vargas or in a Helling role. And until Jackson shows he can pitch, he shouldn't be near Milwaukee.
  8. You're missing one B.Clark.
  9. Doubt it would be Yo. If fully healthy Parra would certainly be #1, Jackson is for some reason talked about as a possible #5 next season (ick).
  10. Because Jenkins is better than Huff, likely cheaper and only signed for one year.
  11. The Brewers could use another middle infielder....
  12. The Brewers have some relievers I'd like to flush, but thats really not the same thing.
  13. Penny's PRAA for the past three years: 14 7 6 Basically you're looking at the 2005 version of Capuano/Davis.
  14. That would be Zack Jackson since he can't help anyone this year. Jenkins(Mench)/Jackson/Turnbow and/or Wise would be possible. Vargas would be on the table but doubt the Dodgers need a 6th man. Aquino and Capellan could be moved.
  15. A broken done Jenkins=Mench career average And that doesn't even account for defense
  16. He said Gillick told him no. Now 15 minutes later he might have told Ash maybe. Or maybe Gillick said, No not right now. Since this has been already leaked for a while it probably won't go through as given, but that doesn't mean it wasn't discussed at all.
  17. He's a 39 year old with a sub 800 OPS in Arizona. Its like Steve Finely never happened.
  18. If they acquire Gonzalez they'll need a 4th Ofer. Not on the bench, in the field. Why does Gonzalez have anybody after him?
  19. If the Brewers are scraping to get Hendrickson and Lieber I really don't understand why they aren't at least semi-pursuing Ohka.
  20. One of these things is not like the others, one of these things doesn't belong A joke right?
  21. Mench isn't that young and hasn't been that good for a while. He turns 29 in January and only had one good year in 2004. He's an 800 OPS player who might turn it on or might not. He has a decent salary to some degree.
  22. Why is there any market for Gonzalez? I really don't understand why anyone would want him at this point.
  23. The Cubs apparently are looking for someone to push him out. This depends on if they end up trading Jones or not.
  24. The second round this year is supposedly going to suck with a thin draft plus a bunch of bonus picks. Losing a 2nd round pick is nothing.
