  1. This coming from the guy who made a bad decision to throw the ball to 3rd base on that bunt. That would be the point, as a member of the team he's taking part of the blame. On the other hand he had a split second to make that decision.
  2. and Corey Hart needed to run that play out in the 6th on the Weeks grounder that got bobbled, again with the baserunning. He held up to avoid the tag DP but yes once the 2B threw to the SS at 2nd he needed to hustle in and slide.
  3. Not to nitpick, well maybe, but starting a DP by throwing to 2nd would be an assist. E+Assists+PO should equal chances. You could still list DP separately.
  4. Apparently the game is on FSN outside Milwaukee now that the Bucks game is over.
  5. If you're correct Colby I'm surprised because it seems downright dishonest putting the burden on the consumer to gauge interest in a particular show so as not to get ripped off. I guess one would be buying not to have to get there early but that ought to be made clear in the selling. Someone buying extra tickets hoping to sell them later and miscalculating is a totally different thing.
  6. The game will be repeated on WMLW at 7pm for anyone who can't watch live and wants to catch Yo.
  7. Like you with your repeated political posts.
  8. Pitches don't seem on target either. If you have a bad 1st inning you get into pitches 15-30 or higher. Going only by innings, it seems Carpenter, Oswalt, Halladay, Zambrano don't follow Ben's pattern and Peavy and Mussina not as much. I picked Jason Schmidt at random and found for 3 year splits: 1st: .608 1-3: .642 4-6: .676 7-9: .700 I'm not necessarily disputing what you're saying but I think there's a double standard in the evidence required.
  9. He said 1st inning but you gave us 3 inning splits. Doesn't seem on target. Ben's 1st inning 3 year split OPS against is .769. Btw, almost all pitchers have higher OPS in the first 15 pitches than the rest of the game, its just how things work, Sheets doesn't lose because he gives up runs early, he doesn't give up runs in any different pattern than other pitchers in baseball. Could you give us some evidence to back that up? I don't know where to find the OPS by inning splits averaged together for say the top 20 or 25 pitchers in the league.
  10. Good luck Geno. Don't know if we can get by with some of these unproven posters even if they've got some upside. BF needs all the proven veteran name posters it can get.
  11. If they told you that they'd have to kill you. I don't know either so I'm safe. Until someone gives me a reason to do otherwise, I'm going by the newspaper article which I've turned into a link: pressherald.mainetoday.com/sports/local/stories/070114rogers.html
  12. Was that meant to be in blue Geno?
  13. If I click on My Control Center it tells me when mine expires. But maybe I'm special.
  14. The Cards didn't have a good record but when healthy they are a good team. If the Brewers ever win a world series I doubt anyone here will complain about the circumstances. It's always a good series when the right team wins. In fact the entire playoffs were good considering only the As/Twins went the wrong way for me. Didn't care about the Dodgers/Mets as long as the Cards beat the winner. Congrats to RedBird Ray.
  15. Who's on 1st?
  16. Maybe I'm in the minority of fans on here cheering for St. Louis. Maybe we're the silent majority.
  17. Lovin' all the coastal teams slinking off in defeat.
  18. Dave K. has spent his years of 22-24 at AAA and gone from a .748 to a .740 to a .673 OPS. He's regressed. Bill Hall spent his years of 22-23 at AAA, not the same development timeline, and had OPS of .573 and .742. He played middle infield vs. CF. He was rushed and probably shouldn't have been called up(primarily due to OBP) but the Brewer teams of 2003/2004 weren't as good as those of 2005/2006. Tony Gwynn in his year of 23 put up a .756 OPS. Hopefully not good enough to beat out the competition and deserve a spot in the 2007 OF. Hopefully he'll have a change to repeat AAA and we'll see what he does. Hall did come out of nowhere after coming to MLB, but that's rare and Dave K's trends haven't shown any reason to believe he'll improve similarly.
  19. Hoping for Cards and Tigers in the series with the Cards taking it. NL Central and can't bring myself to root for a NY team or AL team as I dislike both immensely.
  20. Why can't Bush be this good consistently? Because then he'd be a hall of famer and hall of famers are rare.
  21. Just curious why you follow baseball if you find it boring.
  22. Who is doing the TV broadcast? Coshun, ain't it great? Corey too!
  23. Cirillo sure didn't think so, since he took the time to tag 1B with his glove before throwing home. I'd say he didn't know for sure. When you're falling I suspect you're not quite sure what you're lower body has touched or you may not realize in that split second the significance of inadvertently falling on the bag during the catch. So you tag it anyway, though it wasn't the right thing to do.
  24. The way I saw it on the replay, Cirillo fell on the bag while catching the ball. Either way, as soon as 1st is touched the force is off, no runner has to run. He could have tagged the runner at first but as I recall, that runner was already back on the bag.
  25. The number of times that 'P' team from up nort der is mentioned at Brewerfan since the creation of lambeauloop.
