  1. It's certainly a tough decision in the off season, can see it going either way. However that is the off season, if he is healthy and Nelson is ready to go it is a slam dunk that he will be here in September IMHO.
  2. #KestonHiuraForever
  3. With the cutoff being 130 at bats vs plate appearances I think Grisham stays #1 during the off season. He takes walks which reduce his at bats and think the veterans get the vast playing time down the stretch.

  6. I did the same thing, should have redeemed them earlier to that Friday game but I always forgot. Still kind of amazed that every single Terrace seat is gone for a Friday September game. Going to the Cardinals and Astros games the following Tuesdays instead. Not a weekend but at least a couple of good opponents.
  7. Still going to be tough for the Brewers to offer arbitration with the question marks remaining. Probably still a non tender candidate.
  8. I would like to see them promote Bickford to AA for the playoffs and see how he does. Get as much information as possible to make an informed decision on weather he should be protected.
  9. Seeing Houser pitch every 5 games has at least been something to look forward to and will keep me watching until the end of September. Hopefully can get some runs and salvage a game.
  10. It was 3 innings but the point still stands. Has been excellent thus far in his rehab.
  11. Agree regarding Wilkerson, if they really need somebody in an emergency call up Williams, Faria is eligible in a couple of days as well then September rolls around and Black/Peralta can come up with Nelson/Suter likely as well. They are trying to make the playoffs, replace Wilkerson with Luke Barker if need be, he isn't exactly young either and has been dominant in the minors.
  12. They perhaps were going to DFA Wilkerson and bring up Spangenberg to replace him on the 40 man, option Arcia. That changed when they needed somebody to eat up innings.
  13. Just watched CC's post game, he said they will be doing something, said they have to..unless he was talking about something different, but I don't think so. Might have to be someone from Biloxi given the logistics...they are in Montgomery, AL right now and there is actually a direct flight from Montgomery tomm at 6am that gets to DC at 10:30 Edit: never mind, there is no one at Biloxi even on the 40 man, let alone the 25 man Burnes is.
  14. Plus plenty of people do not like Braun both as fans of the Brewers and fans around baseball. However, he never really harmed anybody else besides arguably the collector and never put other lives at risk.
  15. Agreed, it was really in your face with the signs telling you exactly when not to and when to merge. There usually is not as much coaching in the moment when you are actually in the construction so unless you are actually given permission to wait to merge too many feel like a jerk if they do and others seeing this will have road rage.
  16. Based on what happened with zippering in Milwaukee when the zoo interchange work was being done, zippering doesn't occur 100 yards before the lane closure. I get really frustrated when I properly zipper with ample time and people either try to zoom in at the last 100 yards, or go into the distress lane (rush hour) to sneak in. While the guy probably shouldn't have gone 1/2 way into the lane, he was probably preventing the situation that I see daily. That bugs me... Actually, 100 yards is a long distance when traffic is moving slowly. Many times there are signs that say "Merge here" and they are usually at the very end of where the lane ends (within 50 yards of where the lane ends). At some point there needs to be a merge and it makes the most sense to merge/zipper towards the very end of the zone (especially when traffic is moving slowly) in order to cause the least number of backups. On most days on my way home from work I enter the freeway going westbound on 94 at the Clybourn on ramp at 6th street. On occasion, there are backups on the freeway which causes traffic on the ramp to back up. The majority of people I see try to merge WAY too early instead of using the entire length of the ramp and merging at the end of the ramp where there are arrows on the pavement. Merging that early causes bigger backups on the on ramp that will sometimes spill into the intersection. I do notice that when I go to the end of the ramp in those situations, I get looks like I'm the one being rude when in actuality they are the ones that are not understanding the concept. They extended the ramp that far for a reason. They want you to use the entire ramp during backups. I think it was last year around Brookfield Square heading toward the stadium the right lane eventually ended and there were electronic signs indicating to not merge yet and there was a final sign to zipper merge now. Agree there needs to be education and it is perfectly fine to zipper closer to the end as that is the point of the zipper. Same with the merging with on ramps. I will see cars ahead of me go over the white line to move over one lane that is very slow and I will continue on to where you are supposed to start merging.
  17. I just figured that’s all they have in that dump of a city. You know I don't think fans of a team in Milwaukee can really call another city a dump. Milwaukee is probably one of the Top 5 biggest dumps in the United States...and Chicago ain't anywhere near being one of the ones worse. Have you been to Milwaukee as it isn't either.
  18. I really dislike when my favorite sports teams signs guys like this but a minor league deal so hoping he never plays for the Brewers. I hated when K-Rod played here and posted quite a bit about it and really ruined my enjoyment since he was basically closing out every Brewers win. We all have a past and have made mistakes but this is entertainment and it is not as entertaining for me to watch whether it is sports, movies, tv, music, etc.
  19. If they option Gamel they wouldn't actually use an option since he would likely be called up September 1 and be down less than 20 days. It would actually be decent roster management.
  20. Hoping that Shaw turns it around seems to be a bad plan as there isn't much of anything to replace him as a Plan B. Erceg certainly isn't ready and may never be, having Perez play every day will never go well. Probably try to sign Moose again to a one year deal. I guess I can live with Arcia again at SS but would be nice to have a better backup than Tyler Saladino if Arcia misses a large chunk of time and Dubon is no longer an option. Would be optimal to sign Grandal to a one or two year deal until Henry/Feliciano is ready but think he gets good offer from somebody else this off season. A lot of question marks for a team trying to win but not likely they want to punt on a season that they have prime Yelich.
  21. I am the biggest supporter of Grisham as anybody but he has to show a little more consistency to get big money. Hiura has been an elite hitter since the day they drafted him, extend him if he is willing.
  22. Very true, Pina has been brutal against righties but if they could limit him to lefties is still productive. I probably don't agree with comparing Freitas to the Orf's of the world though because Freitas wa acquired by Stearns in a trade and is on the 40 man roster already so Stearns must see something in him. It is actually kind of surprising in some ways that he hasn't seen any time with the Brewers yet since it would be so easy to call him up and send him back down.
  23. Yes, that can't be ignored. Guy starts in AA and seen as make or break year by some and now he is starting on a regular basis for a team trying to get into the MLB playoffs. Of course Keston is starting as well, getting two starting position players in one year from the minors is very good, especially considering the reputation of their farm system.
  24. I thought they might just call up Supak and then option him back immediately since they have off days Thursday, Monday and next Thursday. However, I can see why they wouldn't want to keep a bullpen guy like Faria/Williams/Peralta down for 10 days and be forced to call up an inferior bullpen guy for that time period.
