  1. He appears to have a short leash but always survives the 40 man during the off season and never has been DFA during roster crunches so don't really know what Stearns thinks of him.
  2. Gamel is who is he. playing pretty much at career norms so would expect similar number going forward. Fortunately Grisham is a significant upgrade and the Brewers don't have to rely on Gamel to take on more at bats or ever be considered a regular.
  3. Brewcrewball had a feature on him a couple of months back. https://www.brewcrewball.com/2019/5/23/18637804/dylan-file-milwaukee-brewers-pitching-prospect-player-to-watch The scouting report on him directly from File per the article: I throw a fastball (90-93), curveball (73-76), slider (77-79), and a changeup (82-84). My slider is my best pitch, I throw it like Trevor Bauer and it moves about 13 inches from right to left. My curve is almost a 12-6 breaker. When I got into pro ball I didn’t know how to throw a changeup so we spent a lot of time developing one. I don’t really have anyone that I model my game after, I would say I’m your average guy that attacks everyone fearlessly. I’m not afraid of getting hit which makes me go right after people. I hate walking people. I approach hitters with the knowledge of their weakness and how to get them out. I know where they do the most damage and avoid pitching there.
  4. We were planning on going to the August 24th game and saw these Theme Night tickets were sold out. Looking for 1 voucher for one of my kids if anybody looking to sell an extra one they have.
  5. Stokes has been picking it up as well, over 900 OPS since the All Star Break.
  6. +1 The thought of watching Taylor Williams sent a shudder down my spine. I'm excited to see Devin Williams and Faria though. I wonder who will start in Davies' spot? I saw on Twitter that Supak is lined up for that day. Might as well call him up. What they’ve tried to stick with isn’t working. That would make sense but wouldn't have to make the move for a couple of days. Faria or Williams can be sent right back down for Supak.
  7. The Brewers should really evaluate where they are at at the end of August and consider putting Moose and Grandal on waivers. If they got rid of them would save on September salary and not having to pay the option after the season and hopefully ownership would let Stearns use those funds for 2020. Would imagine teams would put claims on them and the Brewers would be off the hook. Just another option for smaller markets like Milwaukee, gives them the opportunity to sign these bigger free agents to one year deals with mutual options that are never picked up but if things go south for the team they get rid of the player and the liability to pay the option.
  8. As painful as the season has gone at times this year they are not done. It may be time to take a break if you are so frustrated but a third of their games are still against the Cubs or Cardinals so they are still pretty much in control of their own fate. A big if but if they get hot they still have a chance.
  9. No, he is in the eligible to be minor league free agent list. http://forum.brewerfan.net/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=38643
  10. 1 Trent Grisham 2 Brice Turang 3 Trey Supak 4 Ethan Small 5 Tristen Lutz 6 Mario Feliciano 7 Drew Rasmussen 8 Aaron Ashby 9 Corey Ray 10 Eduardo Garcia 11 Troy Stokes 12 Devin Williams 13 Zack Brown 14 Payton Henry 15 Micah Bello 16 Antoine Kelly 17 Dylan File 18 Jacob Nottingham 19 Carlos Rodriguez 20 Felix Valerio 21 Jevon Ward 22 Eduarqui Fernandez 23 Braden Webb 24 Joantgel Segovia 25 Luke Barker 26 Alec Bettinger 27 Lucas Erceg 28 Max Lazar 29 Joe Gray 30 Wes Wilson 31 Clayton Andrews 32 Miguel Sanchez 33 Noah Zavolas 34 Jake Gatewood 35 Thomas Dillard 36 Angel Perdomo
  11. Goes through the NL first, good chance that one of the 8 teams below the Brewers claim him but not impossible.
  12. Thanks for the link, so based on that he can't be traded but a team can claim him and put him on the postseason roster still.
  13. Like after today.
  14. I would tend to agree, if they want to replace Saladino with Perez that is fine, I guess Saladino is a little better defensively. Either way they are in trouble if Arcia goes down.
  15. Looking forward to keep on seeing Houser start for years to come, looks the part now he gets to prove it.
  16. Freitas is no longer a rookie because of his time in the majors. Not a concern here since he is ranked 75 here but others might vote for him since he is having such a great year.
  17. Interesting that even though some updated lists from Baseball America and Pipeline didn't move Grisham near the top of the Brewers rankings Pasaan calls him arguably the Brewers top prospect.
  18. Add in FF and Knebel and Wahl. Looking ahead to next season, the pen could rival the 2018 group. Faria may be in the plans to be a rotation guy. Drawing a blank on FF? What about Rasmussen (I think that's who it was) who was getting so much attention a few months ago as possibly coming up this year? Rasmussen is still being used every 5th day or so like a starter. Calling him up is fan speculation, no indication from anybody within the Brewers they would consider that this year.
  19. That would bring the excitement level up a bit if true.
  20. Controllable through 2024. First arb eligible in 2022 Actually depends on if the Brewers see him as part of the bullpen now or not. May have a full six years of control through 2025. Of course it may not even matter considering he is already 29.
  21. I have never been a huge fan of Dubon's but not the return I hoped for out of the #3 prospect on the Brewers per MLB Pipeline and a future HOFer.
  22. I like that Amir Garrett was thinking outside the box. Usually it is the pitcher that hits the batter and the batter charges. This time the pitcher took it upon himself to charge and not only did he charge but went after the entire dugout. Didn't really appear anybody got any good shots in at Garrett either and Chris Archer of all people got the worst of it.
  23. I also don't think it is besides the point. It is so easy to change streaming services whenever. I had Sling as well but they don't have the Brewers so I am with Youtube now for 7 days free then I'll use them until I switch again. We as consumers don't have to take this anymore, if you can't reach an agreement then we'll just go somewhere that can.
  24. Could do both with Thames at first and Moose at 3B with potentially moving Moose to 1B. But really I don't know if there is a good 3B replacement down the road so having a solid player there for the rest of the Yelich years isn't necessarily a bad thing. Should be easier to find a decent 1B in 2021.
