  1. He has 29 days of service so certainly possible. Wouldn't have to wait too much longer though. Maybe he is the next man up after Wooten. In regards to Wooten I am not going to make too much of his stats. It is kind of silly there is even a AAA team in Colorado if the Rockies don't want to be there. All of these pitcher's home stats will be inflated.
  2. The pitching of Tyler Wagner and Michael Strong is certainly encouraging. Even if they pitch great the entire season I wonder if they stay in AA instead of going to Colorado. Maybe a September callup for Strong since he is on the 40 man.
  3. Move all Biloxi Shuckers home games to Miller Park.
  4. I think this was said by someone late last year before the status of Melvin was known but I am all for the Brewers hiring Michael Girsch from the Cardinals and making him the GM. If you can't beat them, steal them. I think a move like that would get the die hards like theCrew07 back but would be hard to convince average Joe that it is the right move.
  5. So does Kintzler stay with the Brewers as long as somebody doesn't claim him and his million dollar salary?
  6. I agree with you on Rivera. If he isn't traded he will likely be playing the Hector Gomez role in a couple of years. Personally I don't include Reed on the list because he has been a top 5 Brewers prospect in my opinion for over a year. Cravy is another one who might have been overlooked because of the injury last year, if the Brewers sell off some pitching would be interesting to see him in the big leagues.
  7. I don't think the attendance decline is as guaranteed as some here want to believe. Yesterday afternoon I decided to pick up tickets to my nephew's birthday and there was a long line and it was even roped off. People are still buying tickets, at least right now.
  8. If anybody is going to wake this Brewers team up it might as well be Cole. With Braun getting hit last night as well I expect the benches to clear.
  9. That escalated quickly. Calm down, the only thing stupid is your reaction.
  10. I think Segura is a guy that could bring a lot as well if he keeps this up through the All Star break. I wouldn't mind if they gave him a shot at third but he has more value at SS. It is just that something has to give with Sardinas, Segura and Arcia as they are all starting caliber SS, possibly even right now.
  11. Maybe, but I hope Giannis, Parker, Middleton and MCW get there first.
  12. I like the cheapie team for 2017 but trying to forecast who will be on the team is too difficult as they will get cheap players in return if these guys are traded. If Jimenez still ended up the third baseman after getting rid of all of these players I would be pretty upset. Also Segura's last year of arbitration is 2018, not 2017.
  13. More tickets will be sold if it ends up being Hank merchandise. Even though I like the cap and scarf there is probably zero chance I will be there on a NFL Sunday in October against the Cubs.
  14. Not quite sure how that says otherwise. That just says that Denson gets on base more than either of them. Has way more power potential and is 4 years younger as well.
  15. Denson is.
  16. My first thought when I saw this thread was it is tax day today. My second thought was wait there is no game today.
  17. What is the deal with Carlos Leal? Pitched last year not so well in limited time and this year is hitting 700 so far?
  18. Well if this season plays out like Major League there will still be a lot of losing in the near future but a lot of winning in the heart of summer when the music montage is playing.
  19. What Many Brewers Fans May Think, But Dare Not Say (Yet)" WE AS BREWERS FANS NEED A TORTS OPTIMISM THREAD FOR THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!
  20. Michael Reed is way better than Wren and better than Taylor offensively.
  21. Roenicke really needs to move Ramirez out of the cleanup spot sooner rather than later if he wants to keep his job.
  22. In Anthony Banda's first start of the year for A+ Banda gave up one run and a hit in 5.1 innings of work, struck out 7 but did walk 5.
  23. It would appear that except for when Wang or possibly Woodruff pitches that A+ will be the least interesting. Will still check the box scores for Coulter. Wisconsin is probably the most interesting because of the number of young prospects and also because I can attend the games. Biloxi looks pretty solid and has some nice prospects as well but could struggle if being on the road catches up with them. Not too much at Colorado but I expect them to win a bunch and hope they slaughter Nashville the next week or so.
  24. Looking at that list Gomez reverting is the least likely to happen but I would go far as to say every other one is more likely to happen than not happen.
  25. I think this line of thinking is said but usually in the JS comments or reactionary calls to postgame shows. But yeah there is certainly cause for concern and valid reasons to believe this will be a really bad year. But, on the flip side if certain assumptions are made they could be a playoff team. I am really having a hard time figuring out how this season will play out.
