  1. That is interesting. Now if they could just learn to throw strikes. 5.6 BB/9 innings isn't going to cut it.
  2. The question is, if Parra has another short outing, how many pitchers will be used as pinch hitters? I say 2. Suppan to sacrifice and Gallardo to swing away.
  3. I only like a bowl of cereal for breakfast. I'm not a big fan of other breakfast foods. My dad made pancakes every Saturday morning growing up, so I think I got sick of them. If I do have breakfast foods, it's only for breakfast. Can't stand them any other time of the day.
  4. Always watch: Lost Smallville Heroes (when it's on) Ask This Old House Brewers (when they're on WMLW or Fox) If I'm not doing anything (I love ME TV): Alfred Hitchcock Hour Twilight Zone Wife watches and I may half watch while doing something else: American Idol America's Next Top Model
  5. Sheets next start (29th) also happens to be the day when Cameron is elligible to play. So it seems that they will limp through the next week and then have a bunch of choices to make next Tuesday (Cameron, Gwynn, Dillion, 2 pitchers)
  6. Well, here's a timely article in the JS. Work starts June 2nd, but there should still be 3 lanes in each direction (turn/bus lane becomes the third lane, when the median lane is closed). Three years later (2011), the fun starts again when they repave the road. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=741556
  7. It shouldn't be a problem this week, but it could be a problem for the rest of summer. The entire stretch of Bluemound Rd from Barker Rd to Moorland Rd will be under construction for safety improvements. It just says starts this Spring. See the State's project page http://www.dot.state.wi.us/projects/us18bluemound/index.htm
  8. Sheets?
  9. So that solves the Gallardo question. Yo takes Sheets spot.
  10. Given the way Counsell has been hitting and the way the rest of the infield hasn't, I could see Counsell getting a couple starts a week.
  11. I didn't feel either one. The only time I've felt an Earthquake was when I was in a hotel room in Vancouver, BC a few years ago. There was an Earthquake outside Seatle and I felt in in Vancouver. Defintely a strange experience. Didn't realize was it was at first. Then I turned on the TV and saw all about it.
  12. And Hurricaine Corky continues to impress.
  13. So McClung saved his job for now and Parra punched his ticket to Nashville?
  14. Never a dull moment when one of the juicers is on the mound. Nice come from behind win.
  15. Um, Marquette already has a head coach. I'm alluding to an assistant spot. Someone who could help with midwest recruiting.
  16. And now Tom Deiner resigns from Vincent to "Pursue other oportunities" Hmm. http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=4/17/2008&id=38505
  17. There is an option on Torres for next year.
  18. They need both. When James, McNeal, and Matthews graduate next year, MU will only have Acker and Cubillan at guard. I think it's better to go after a point guard in 2009. It's easier to sell playing time and he can play a year with Acker and Cubillan before taking over. A PG isn't going to play at all next year. And Butler may likely be the starting shooting guard in 2009-2010. Williams and Bulter will give them some nice size at the 2/3. Still not much size down low, but MU could have four starters at 6-6 or 6-7 in a year.
  19. Hopefully, the offensive outburts will be a trend for all the teams today.
  20. I'm not a Yost fan, but I'm wondering if people's memories of 1982 aren't coloring their views. Get rid of Buck Rogers and let Harvey Kuenn take over. Everything magically gets better and we go to the world series. I think people expect the same thing to happen by dumping Yost and letting X take over.
  21. My dad used to make Orange Julius all the time growing up. It's my favorite. We had Orange Julius in the malls in Montana when I was little, but it took years to get them in Milwaukee. So we just had them at home. 6 oz. can frozen concentrated orange juice 1 cup milk 1 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 8 ice cubes -Pour all ingredients, except ice cubes, in a blender. -Blend, adding ice cubes one at a time, until smooth.
  22. I've found that direction does make a difference with this antenna. I pointed mine roughly toward downtown Milwaukee, then turned it slightly, while watching the signal strength until I got the best signal. Height also made a difference. I mounted it in the rafters of my garage and now I get 80-90% on all channels, even ones like 58, 55, and 30. No pixelation like I had with the rabbit ears. I'm amazed by the clarity now. No more messing with rabbit ears to get the least fuzzy picture like I've done for years.
  23. Nah, Neugebauer and Hammonds were injuries waiting to happen. The book is still out on Weeks.
  24. But the question still remains whether or not Kohl will butt out and let him do his job.
