I think Aoki would have taken more time from Gomez in CF. After Gamel got hurt, they used Ishikawa at 1B until giving Hart a shot. Only then did Aoki move over to RF. By then he was already taking the majority of starts in CF. -

While the odds are certainly against them...at the very minimum we get 2 weeks of interesting baseball and warm fuzzies to tide us over until next year regarding our young pitching. This reminds me of the run they had to end 1992.

I'm all aboard the ARam bandwagon, but HoF is a little much. -
When you think of part of year 3 of his contract as just deferred money from this year, the contract makes much more sense. They were stretching the payroll this year and needed to structure it that way. It will make it tough to meet that value in year 3, but that wasn't anticipated anyway when he signed.

Rickie Weeks so far this season

Here's a thread in need of some bump-itude Rickie now up to .230/.336/.395/.731. Considering his awful start, this is one heckuva comeback. Maybe I was just a year early on my MVP prediction ;-) Certainly has to make one feel better about a healthy Rickie heading into 2013. -
That's one thing McCourt already took care of...and another reason attendance is down. If anything they need to wake up and lower them...and get rid of those half empty dugout seats that make everyone watching think no one is there. They need to use variable pricing the way the Brewers have done and pack that place to generate some long lost excitement.

K Rod is exactly the type of guy we should be targeting if he was on another team. I think he's still got some productive baseball as a set up guy left in him. The problem is the casual fans will go nuts if he's blowing up again next year, even if he's signed to a cheap one year deal. My guess is DM won't want to take that risk. I would in a heartbeat...I hope he's back on a cheap one year deal.

Boston just shaved 2-3 years off their rebuild...amazing. The Dodgers better win soon with this team...their window is already close to closing. The thing is I still don't hear that many people getting excited about them.I see a lot of people with stupid money out here...I guess these guys are no different.

I for one am going to miss those 49 mph curve balls. Best of luck Randy...despite the struggles this year, he seemed like a great teammate and pitched well the last couple seasons. That NLCS game in St. Louis was a beauty. I'll be rooting for him wherever he lands...except for St. Louis or Chicago that is.

By the end of the week, kalle will likely have learned some new words from our neighbors to the south. He probably saw a couple of them pass out, throw up and try and start some fights too. I just hope by the end of the week he has an accent like Augie. That would be awesome.
