Day Baseball! Really excited for this one!

I have been thinking about this since the game ended on Sunday. He has been the guy that most intrigues me, because of his potential upside. Between the starting pitching and him, I've got enough optimism to fill up this thread! I'm trying to stay calm, it's so early, but it's hard.

I'm busting Jerry, I'm busting! I'm so excited for today's game. I hope we get off to a good start against the Phils today. Keep this offense going in the right direction, pitchers keep doing their jobs.

I think we will start seeing Wang soon (that sounds funny, sorry). I think with the early season schedule having days off, he can afford to hide him a bit. I think part of it is just him getting used to life in the Major Leagues. I think you let him get comfortable with that and then throw him out there. His time will come soon.

Ha! That's what I kept saying in my head! I hate the gold though. Reminds me of a men's league softball uniform.

Wow what a fun weekend of baseball capped off by this win! I too am trying to stay calm, but they are playing some good ball. I said this to a few of my friends and maybe on here, before the season. I believe they will be like an annoying boxer that just jabs you all fight. They may not blow people away, but they are hopefully going to have a shot when it gets to the end. I hope this staff keeps jabbing away all year.

Really a great win for the team. It was frustrating from an offensive standpoint the pitching keeps doing the job.

I think live streaming takes more to process than movies.... I could be way wrong on that. Again, I have not had any issues on my iPad, iPhone, or Apple TV. My pc gets a little glitchy sometimes, but it's not the stream, it's just not much of a computer. On our Mac, there is no issue. Still haven't gotten any answers on the audio overlay. Did they get rid of that? - (Edit) - I figured out I needed to update to the latest nextdef plugin. I hope that takes care of it!

Yes I have HBO and I have seen a few clips of that show. Could be solid. Well I'm looking forward to trying some of these!

I was wondering about Brooklyn 99, but was thinking it would be a little out there. I will give it a shot. I really do think I need to do Parks and Rec and Modern Family. I will get on those on Amazon. Baldkin!!! I had actually started typing my two other favorite shows in my initial post, to help people get a better idea of what I'm in to. It was Cheers and Seinfeld! I love Cheers. I actually watched the first 4 seasons a year or two ago. It is just a perfect show and brings back good memories of watching that as a kid.

Wow, that sucks man but it happens. Sometimes you just need to get some frustrations out. Next time I'd go for a coffee cup or something. Much easier to replace Hope today is a better day!

So I've lost The Office, How I Met Your Mother, and Two and a Half Men (once Sheen Left) in the last few years. I've struggled to latch on to any other sitcoms. I think I'm going to try giving Friends with Better Lives a shot, but not sure what I think about it. I know I enjoy 30 Rock, but never really watched it that much. I watched Parks and Rec a few times early but then just lost track of it. I watch Workaholics right now, I don't even know what you call that, but it does make me laugh, even though it can be pretty terrible. Any advice or favorites, let me know.

I always wanted Ted and Robin together :-/ As for Barney, I felt like he just wasn't himself when he was settled down. It was a nice story but it just wasn't him. I do agree that I didn't want him to be the straight womanizer, but Barney just seemed like he needed to be single to be himself. I think they were trying to show that he still had changed once the baby was born. Being more protective of women. Anyway, I really enjoyed this show and will really miss it.

Wow, I have not had one single issue so far and don't remember any issues besides a quick goofy thing a few times a season. Sorry to hear you are having issues. I'd tend to think it's more to do with your internet provider though??? I have no idea what speed my internet is and or what is typically good for streaming. Did you try resetting your router or anything?

I agree that was poorly written. They were too excited about it. Could have been done a lot better.

Day baseball indeed!!!! Very excited for this game and hope we can get the bats going a bit here. I'd love a good final game and a series win. I don't think I like this straight platoon at 1B. I could see it in the opener, but is it necessary with Harang on the mound??? Just Ron playing some games, trying to put guys in positions they can succeed....

Right now, I'm feeling like I'd like to debate some of the people that say it was a cop out. I won't debate good vs bad, that's in the hands of each viewer. While I do agree everything felt rushed, I think the stories were done well. I too wanted more information, but decided to let my imagination fill in the gaps. OK, to say the series was pointless because they killed the mother right away. I think the entire series was really about Ted and Robin, not the mother. He was telling that story in his mind, but the kids said at the end, you basically kept telling stories about Robin. So I think you have to look beyond the title, and look more at how the series really went. I can't wait to go back and watch it for that reason. Last season was bad because Robin and Barney got divorced right away in the finale. I think it took the whole season to really make us believe that Robin and Barney were supposed to get married. That they really did love each other, at that time. They both had trust issues and both needed each other to break those down. We also needed that last season to show that Ted could really let go of Robin. Which, I do think he did, at that point in time. Ted really fell in love and then they killed his wife dislikes. I actually think that was good and I felt like I saw enough of her and them together to see they really loved each other. I think they had a great love, but in the end, Robin and Ted were soul mates. Their timing was never right. Robin wanted to be famous and travel, and not have kids. She got to do that. Ted wanted to fall in love and get married and have a family. He got to do that. Years down the road, and 6 years after Ted's wife died (not too soon), they finally were perfect for each other. I do like the idea of the final season covering all the years of the final episode. That would have been great! I did feel everything was too rushed. That said, I actually really enjoyed the final season and I think it actually did set everything up. A few points of debate for the other side of the coin. Again, I'm optimistic, so I usually look at stuff in a positive light. Can't help it.

I really don't see a big name coming to MU. I know they can offer a lot of money, but I think it's viewed as a stepping stone. A good stepping stone, where you can make things happen, but it's not a destination. It's not one of the big ones. I just don't see anyone going sideways that is a big name already. Unless they are struggling a little lately and want a fresh scene and more money. But I don't think it will be someone that will also be coveted by the big dogs. This is coming from a Badger fan and someone who casually will cheer for MU.

Maybe there aren't enough people on here that are fans of the show to give this its own thread but wanted to see if people watched, and what their thoughts were. This show took me awhile to really start enjoying it, but once I bought in, I became addicted. I'm really going to miss it. It's been a great ride with many peaks, and a few valleys. As for the finale, I have mixed emotions on it. At first, I disliked it. It started to bother me. As I thought about it more, I decided I like the way everything ended up....I think. I believe there were many issues, but for me, it was more with execution, not the outcome. There should have been a more emotional scene with Ted and his wife, saying goodbye, or something like that. Give us a chance to really "feel" what he felt. I also think the final scene should have actually showed Ted and Robin having more of a connection. Even if it was as music played and it faded away. I just think it was too quick and didn't let us feel what they were feeling. That all said, as I think about the final episode, my mind has filled in the gaps and let me do a little more interpretation of how everything went. I kind of like that. But I'm an optimist, so that works. For the pessimist, that may not work. Overall I'm happy, but also surprised how much I'm still thinking of this show and how it ended. I guess that's good. I always thought that Ted and Robin would end up together, I just wasn't sure how, until about half way through the finale. I'm looking forward to watching the series again from the beginning and soaking it all in. I'll probably give it a few years. Thanks for all the laughs and even the emotional times HIMYM. You will be missed.

I really liked the way Lohse pitched. A couple bad pitches, but other than that, he was solid. I really can't wait for a big offensive game from the Brewers. Let's take the final game and win the series!

I think most of the national media did not peg Brewers fans as being idiots. Most were understanding, stating, that's their guy. I'm sure there were plenty that ripped Brewer fans, but overall I'd say it was more just a discussion. A Rod is a different animal and so are NY fans. He will get booed and cheered, depending on the situation. I think the fairest discussion was on the Herd. Colin said, all of us fans are the same, no matter where we live. He just doesn't want to see Brewer fans, or fans from the Midwest (who can tend to dislike big market teams or teams on the coast) to point fingers at other team's players when they screw up. Then when one of our guys gets busted, try to blindly stand up for him and say they are different. As long as you can admit he messed up, all is well in most people's eyes.
