  1. Mike Bordick is a crazy pull. Well done.
  2. ?? Go search the Brewers offensive stats so far this year and filter by OBP and then SB. He is going to be an asset.
  3. Somehow I think this is Ashby's 5th appearance of the season thus far..
  4. Just the tip of the cap to those two at the bottom of the order. 19 total pitches between the two of them.
  5. Not a big deal either way but I assumed so with the dialogue. Give them a chance!
  6. Is this the first time you are seeing them throw by chance?
  7. MLB Day Trading. Trade cash for player. Let him in on team's secrets. Player gets a month of at bats and shines (The Andrew Vaughn affect) while OG starter heals. Trade player when OG starter returns for Cash x4 or equal asset. Win Executive of the Year for the 3rd year in a row.
  8. It was a gentle intro to the season for sure. I'll take this over the Yankees series from now on please.
  9. Like most this move definitely shocked me. BUT he did have a good offensive season in Single A and then struggled offensively (as a 20yo) in the Southern League where bats often go to die. He is a full 5 years younger than average in AAA this year. If he has a good offensive season and had the Brewers approached him this next offseason did they just save themselves $40/$50 mil by betting on their scouts? That's the gamble. I have to trust them until they are proven wrong. Now let's get Ortiz trade value up :)
  10. I was just going to say this. Chourio signed his contract in December in the off season and you assumed he was a Major Leaguer immediately. We are now paying Pratt and *knocks on wood* if there is a work stoppage we might not see him in Milwaukee until 2028.
  11. We are about to find out how mentally strong Turang and Ortiz are..
  12. Interesting tidbit, it seems Matos lost his roster spot to Jared Oliva to start the year ... Oliva played with us in Nashville in '25. Really interesting flyer. Top prospect not long ago. I would not be mad at all if Chourio and Contreras, etc unlocked the potential for us. No cost. I'm here for it. I'm expecting Andrew Vaughn 2.0.
  13. '72 Dolphins put that champagne away. We are still in this thing.
  14. I thought this was worth sharing. Love this view and as soon as Ortiz fields it cleanly both Hall and Contreras clock out. Contreras turns to the ump to thank him and Hall punches his glove to celebrate.
  15. This is probably dramatic but our season possibly hinges on these next two rotation spots, all things equal. We have an idea what JM, CP, and BW will be ... if Sproat/Harrison live up to the hype we are off and running. Sunday afternoon game against a lefty. We will find out if we are just running with Bauers full time or which catcher will man 1B in the interim against LHP. Assuming we get our first Rengifo start today, likely Perkins as well.
  16. MVP Ortiz was not on my early season bingo card..
  17. Interesting notes. Unfortunately for Chicago we had not yet unlocked Joe DiMaggio at this point in the season last year so this time around should be different. Speaking of Jake Bauers, he pitched in that game.
  18. Garabito will be that vet once he comes back I would think. I don't mean to say this in too many threads but I still think Rodriguez could be had for a song by another team. The Brewers just have so many more guys who will be coming up to start ahead of him at this point..
  19. Announcements! I'm ready. Just a gluttony of arms and infield prospects here.
  20. First player announcement I've seen out of Biloxi is coming from a Nicaraguan news source re: Stiven Cruz.
  21. I'm getting antsy waiting for roster announcements. I found this on X, a news station reporting so maybe reasonable reliability? translation: In Class A, right-handed pitchers Joshua Quezada and Enniel Cortez will start with the Wilson Warbirds, affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. Quezada finished at that level in 2025 with a 2.45 ERA in 11.0 innings, while Cortez has already recovered from Tommy John surgery.
