    Not the way to bust up the bullpen so early in this series... but all things considered maybe Miz is 1 and done tonight? Save those innings. Unfortunate Myers went down today ... he would be great to have right now.

    This is a side bar topic and I know it isn't a direct correlation.. but clearing out an infielder in Appleton -> I wonder if Fischer starts there and is joined by Made/Pena. It would be cool to have all 3 come up together.

    Yeah the puzzle is puzzling with this one. He does slot in currently as our 4th leading home run hitter on the year... So if Siegler stays.. DJ would offer a little more more juice off the bench in a pinch hit spot?

    So the majority here are asking questions trying to piece together how it went down and you are making statements, telling us how it works. So I assume you either have inside industry knowledge ... or you just spill irrational confidence. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and asking how you acquired such knowledge. You are telling me there isn't a chance that Cadiz told MKE "I'm not signing for less than $1.2 mil ..." and the Brewers said "we think we have about $750k left for you" ... but the Brewers knew their $400k guy was 50/50 so there was a chance they could get close to Cadiz' ask ... so they pulled the trigger on the pick in case they could swing it after all? That isn't possible? Then they signed the $400k guy so Cadiz was now out of play? I'm listening and ready to learn more from you!

    I'm not sure that makes sense. If both Cadiz and Lauridsen told MKE they were not going to sign no matter the money we offered ... should we have distributed the rest to the guys who already signed to an agreed upon number just so we could say we spent it all?

    Josh Adamczewski at some point, I think, is going to be added to this list whenever we talk about our middle infield guys. I do know there are levels to prospect hype... but he just hits and hits and hits. It might be a shrewd move by an opposing GM to fight for Pratt and then "settle" for Josh.

    I should let OP clarify because I only think I know the xHR stat .. but I believe it compares every ball hit to ballpark layouts. So in the Vaughn example ... he has 80 career HRs but if all of his batted balls were in MKE he would have 105 of them, etc. This is kind of an interesting little find. I would love to be the nerd (respectfully) that the Brewers hired to simply spend their day perusing the BS site to find the guys who would perform much better in MKE vs their current divisions. Also, the BaseballSavant page is dangerous. You can go down some gnarly rabbit holes. For example, Cal Raleigh has 41 home runs this year but he has hit 51 baseballs that would have been a home run in at least 1 park.

    I'm going to enjoy my summer man even if it's 95 degrees with a heat index over a million today. Even if it pours rain for a few days or if we get weeks of cloud cover. It's going to be a great summer. Because I like summer. That doesn't mean I wouldn't love for it to be 80 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze everyday. You know what else I'm not going to do? I'm not going to walk around shouting into a megaphone how it isn't 80 and sunny everyday, trying to ruin everyone else's enjoyment of the season to somehow prove I know what the best summer actually is?

    I'm just about ready to give Woodruff the ball in game one of whatever playoff series we end up in.. But if he shows up today and resettles us... I might just put that in ink.

    How do you imagine the conversation goes in the owner's room if Arnold walks in and asks for a bump in spending this season to add payroll for the stretch run? Do you reckon Mark A. stands up and tells them the new spending floor/ceiling, and they follow his lead? Do you think he follows the majority rule?
