    I was just going to say this. I don't want to trade Megill but with Williams coming back if we can get that kind of haul for him I'd do it without much thought.

    Interesting to add to the pen when we have reinforcements coming back! Can anyone who is quicker with the pen see/interpret how Mears' splits are? I know it seems every other day we are losing an arm so we need more .. but this seems to me that more deals are in the works and bullpen pieces could be moving?

    If Hiura gets any offer from a foreign league I would take the cash if I were him. Go rebuild your career and get another chance in a few years when you've put up monster numbers elsewhere.

    Final Cubs series of the year and we aren't out of July... that is a bit odd. I want to win every game... but would also like to see the Cubs not become full fledge sellers in the next few days and grab a bunch of good prospects. But I want to win every game ... so let's bury them.

    Inga is a good person and is really funny and genuine. I feel terrible for her as she won't live this down. I hope she gets the help she needs :( As soon as I watched the video I knew there was substance of some kind involved... she wasn't right. Brutal night :(

    I love that the baseball draft is just a completely different animal from other sports. There are so many different approaches to how you can attack it. I would think with so many arms taken yesterday that (I hope) we deemed signable ... that we are grabbing some college position kids today to fill the bottom of the farm system to allow for some promotions. But I'm also an idiot, which means we might draft 7 more high school pitchers.
