  1. Former Brewers' farmhand on the move a week after getting called up for the first time. Frazier's name has popped up from time to time as a Brewers interest ... Let the trade season commence! https://x.com/Pirates/status/1945503611233939737
  2. Just getting home and catching up on everything.. I thought there would have been more mention in this thread about Suarez getting hit by that pitch. Considering all the murmuring that he is a trade target for us. We will see if it's just a bruise or something more after..
  3. You know, I don't know how open players/agents are with organizations anymore ... but I almost feel like the convo between Woodruff and the Brewers (should he get himself to this point) will be something like Woodruff telling Milwaukee "Hey, make sure you offer me the QO so I can decline it and you guys get that pick..." as a final handshake thank you between the two parties. The relationship between he and Milwaukee feels like 100% the opposite of what it was with Burnes.
  4. Dickinson a Jr ... will this "fall" in the draft send him back to school for a Sr year?
  5. I read it as "Uh-Piss-Kuh-Pay" ... which would make me like him 4x better. Can someone confirm how to say his name?
  6. OP has only posted 4 times on these boards in the last 2 months. Funny how that works. We will see him again the next time we lose 3 games in a row.
  7. I have forgotten to update this thread and it was mine to begin with... For shame. Where has everyone gone to the games this year so far? I've been to Mke, Msp, and both Chi thus far. I'm hoping for a KC trip before the summer is over yet.
  8. So they legit found the closest thing to Jacob Misiorowski they could ... down to name and all and went for it.
  9. I dunno about this last pick tbh... our track record with tall RHP named Jacob just isn't very good.
  10. Arbitrary but I wonder where these guys are going to slot into our top 30?
  11. If Fischer gets shoved to A+ immediately this Appleton roster in the 2nd half is going to be box office worthy with the expected call ups arriving with him...
  12. Matt Arnold will be in the lab all break..
  13. This might be a stupid question... but I guess I've never thought about it before. If a MiLB player is called up to the Majors without a big league deal ... I'm assuming he gets paid a prorated portion of the Major League minimum for the time he is up with the team. As referenced above, is that prorated $$ based on games played or is it days with team? Do they prorate the minimum over 162 games and they are paid per game they are here or do they prorate the minimum over the number of days in the regular season and each day up is a paycheck? The second thing makes more sense but I've never thought about it.
  14. I love Burke. Being here in Appleton I've gotten to watch many at bats now ... just curious if the Brewers think Fischer is going to be a 1b ... he will be right on Burke's heels pushing him. Hopefully he gets a chance to show he can stick at 3b and this is a non issue.
  15. Sidenote, I wonder if Burke becomes available in trade talks in the coming weeks with this pick? Amazing to have both but are now redundant a little if Fischer is seemingly going to move over.
  16. I think some of our narrowing on who we want to deal really possibly changes before the day is over. Assuming we grab as positional player or two in the first 3 picks... If we take a 1b .... Burke/Adams are much easier to deal. A middle infielder and suddenly Pratt and Pena are in play, etc Let's revisit this in 12 hours.
  17. Golly if we can win today and the Cubs lose and we go into the break all squared up... That would be a wonderful uncomfortable break for the Cubs to have to sit through. They will have a deal done for a starter before they throw their first second half pitch...
  18. The Nationals better not let Vaughn bat again in this game or they are up a creek. 1 run lead is not enough.
  19. He wasn't on our opening day roster.
  20. Man, I keep looking at bats to acquire and my eyes keep landing on Josh Naylor. He would cost less than Suarez by a decent margin and is a nice upgrade from Bauers. Our lineup against RHP would look so much better with Naylor included.
  21. Myers is worth so much more than a low level bat. If we take on the money Myers should get you Saurez straight up. If we ask for a salary offset then we would have to add something to the deal .. Carlos Rodriguez or a low level+ guy or something. Half a decade of a cheap middle of the rotation guy is so valuable! As others pointed out, Myers has a better resume than what Priester did and we sent over a nice package to get him. I wouldn't be surprised if Myers has more trade value than Suarez.
  22. Is there any way we can edit this thread's title? The misspelling of LeMahieu is giving me a mental complex and I'm not strong enough to overcome it.
  23. I don't believe so. I think that incentive is to encourage teams to have rookies on the opening day roster.
