Turang shuffle foot to save Adames an error. Then not taking the play off and hustling to back up first on the overthrow saves a run. Then sprints down Carpenter on the steal attempt to not allow a proper run down. That was a special, but somehow typical, Turang defensive inning.

It is and anything can happen, but this would be a historic collapse for us to lose the division at this point. We would have to go 12-25 or something like that and the Cubs would need to play .550 ball on top of it. Unless I'm misreading what you all are talking about ... in which case, my apologies.

Definitely. all of them. give them all raises with a fraction of what Burnes would have gotten, etc. Keep them here.

The emergence of Rea and Myers and the countless bullpen examples makes me want to never spend big money on FA pitching. Instead give the entire coaching staff raises with that money and make sure they never leave.

I like Murphy giving him the chance. I really like Murphy bringing the lefty in immediately.

If you bench him and he pitches well I will kick you $2 for every start he has the rest of the season that you keep him on your bench.

Cleveland far more dominant at home (37-20) than the road (34-29). I'm optimistic we can get 2 of 3 here.

I'm not mad at you for having an opposing opinion .. but if we face Chris Sale in a wild card play in game you'd rather start Brewer Hicklen over a guy who is hitting .327 this year against LHP?

I remember thinking Counsell did the R/L/R/L thing more than anyone I ever remembered ... and now I'm convinced Murphy does it more. I have no stats to back that up. I get it .. all things equal I'd rather not give the opposing team the opportunity to bring in a lefty in an inning and face 3 straight lefties against us, etc... but if Contreras, Chourio, and Adames are your 3 best hitters I would like them hitting 2, 3, 4 please. ESPECIALLY when the lefty option to break up that trio in the 3 or 4 spot is Bauers or Frelick or something. -
The Brewers should be pursuing another RH bat in the outfield though. With Yelich out and assuming Perkins comes back... That means we are still going to be starting Frelick or Mitchell against LHP come playoff time. Rosario has an OPS over 800 against LHP this season. He would provide infield depth as well as a needed outfield piece.

I mean there is no chance he makes it to us on the waiver wire but he is a significant upgrade from Mona and would be great insurance to have for the stretch to protect against injury. Kind of a bizarre sequence from the Dodgers to trade for him then DFA almost immediately...?
