  1. You could bring Ted Williams back to life and make him a hitting coach on any MLB team and he wouldn’t get anyone to change how they approach hitting. Hitting coaches are just scapegoats for a team hitting poorly nothing more nothing less.
  2. Yes he is gone. https://theathletic.com/3650405/2022/10/02/wisconsin-fires-paul-chryst/?
  3. Hasn't been forceful at all. The teams just fall completely apart under PC. Washington St (2022), Illinois (2019, 2022), Oregon (2019), BYU (2018), and Minnesota (2018, 2021) these are all games where the team absolutely fell apart or looked completely unprepared to play. This has been happening for awhile now. If something or anything goes wrong in a game PC can't coach around it he can't even get his team back into a game. If the team goes down early there won't be a rally in the second half it is basically all but over. He is a good coach against bad teams in college but is completely horrible once he has to face competition who are close to being equal. He is just not a good coach against good teams and his record shows this he is 10-16 against top 25 teams. It is time to move on and this should be his last season. I don't even care if the Badgers never win a national championship all I am asking for is for them to be competitive in the games they play and PC has not been for awhile now. That 10-16 record against top 25 teams should tell us all we need to know about Chryst. He is not a good head coach.
  4. Not a good start to this one down 2-0 and the Phillies up 7-0. Running out of games here.
  5. I just want to hear a fire PC chant.
  6. This team looks completely demoralized and uninterested in playing today. I wouldn’t be surprised if this team only wins one or two more games this year.
  7. On the verge of getting blown out at home against Illinois but we do not have a head coaching problem.
  8. Badgers looking flat again. This has to be the least prepared team I have seen in a long time.
  9. No it would be a waste of a trade. Even if the Dodgers would be interested I would rather just keep Yelich and live with the contract. Better to get full value for Adames than half or even lower value.
  10. You won’t get a top 15 if you add Yelich to the deal. You may have to add money to the deal to get the deal near even. Would have to look at the numbers again but Yelich has been a -100m+ valued player. Adames has been about $30-40m valued player. So Adames excess value won’t even cover Yelich’s negative value. You would have to include Burnes to get a 5-10 ranked player from the Dodgers or pay a significant portion of Yelich’s contract.
  11. Phillies have to lose both today otherwise it doesn’t look promising for a playoff spot. Last night was a must win if the Phillies sweep today it is basically over. The Brewers would have to basically win out the rest of the way and the Phillies only winning 2 or 3 of their remaining 5 games.
  12. I aint givin you no tree fiddy loch ness monster!
  13. Woodruff's next scheduled start would be Monday. I am not sure the Brewers would go with Burnes with only 4-days of rest maybe but Woodruff should start on Monday that would give him 4 full days of rest and starting on the 5th day. I don't see a need to bump Woodruff off of his schedule.
  14. lol Yepez how do you not out run that double play? OMG that looked like Estrada running there actually I think Estrada would have been safe. That has to be the slowest run down the line this season?
  15. Fields was never going to be good in Chicago. I stated when he was drafted he wouldn’t be all that good. He is not a passing QB and wasn’t all that great at it at Ohio State. He is more of a running QB. There is talent around him just not enough Montgomery, Herbert and Mooney are good but that is it. Kmet stepped up last year a bit but not so much this year so far. The oline is still a work in progress which is not helping.
  16. That is Hiura’s whiff rate at the top of the zone. Lowest is 46% at middle up. Up and in and up and away are basically an almost guaranteed whiff in the zone.
  17. He can't hit any pitch that is high not just fastballs. The whole top of the zone is basically a whiff zone for Hiura.
  18. LOL Hiura couldn't hit a BP fastball up in the zone if someone told him where it was going and that it was coming.
  19. wRC+ is probably one of the better ones as it includes a lot of the other counting stats. OPS while good isn't a good evaluation of a hitter.
  20. If Wisconsin plays a weak schedule sure they are better than the current situation. But if they have to play Michigan or Ohio State it is basically an automatic loss. I don't believe the Badgers are a coach away they are a coach and better recruiting away from being competitive. They have a really good defensive coordinator but lack a good head coach. The jury is still out on the offensive coordinator so I will wait another year or two on him. Majority of Chryst's success is based on good defenses and good to elite running backs. Take that away and I doubt he would have lasted past his first 5-years without the good to elite running backs and the near elite defense. Heck just remove the good defense and do you think he would still have the record he has? I don't believe he would.
  21. The entrance requirements are not the problem though. UW spends about a fraction on its recruitment department than most of the other schools in the conference. UW lost its best recruiters to Michigan State and he nearly doubled his salary by moving from UW to Michigan State. PC is also a poor recruiter as he is losing 4 and 5 star recruits in WI. That should not happen ever. He sucks at his job and is an absolute failure at recruiting any player with any skill. After his first three seasons PC has been absolute garbage. The majority of PC's wins have come against poor teams Illinois, Rutgers, Indiana, etc. If PC has to face a top 10 team he crumbles and can't get his team over the top. Talent is one of the factors why but his coaching is also an issue. Whenever the team plays a top 10 team they look bad and unprepared to play. The Badgers looked completely unprepared to play against Ohio State it was like they didn't practice at all. Like I have said previously this is nothing new from PC his teams have looked completely unprepared to play in big games or on the big stage. This is all on PC he is a horrible coach when it comes to playing against equal or better competition. He can kill the easy teams but once there is a little bit of adversary his teams quit on him and he can't coach around that and he can't get the team to play better.
  22. If the Brewers wouldn't have Yelich on the books already I think it would be fine to sign Woodruff to a deal like this. With Yelich on the team already that is a lot of the payroll going to two players.
  23. Why would Burnes sign this deal? It would make no sense at all for Burnes to sign this deal when DeGrom signed a 5-year $137m deal. That is the market for Burnes not Castillo.
