  1. None, unless Mark A decides to invest more into the team and also gets buy in from the other investors. Yearly reminder that Mark A is only the majority owner of the Brewers.
  2. If the Brewers sign Alonso it would be their only major signing. Polanco or Moncada would have to agree to sign for league minimum and that is just not going to happen.
  3. Hallman will be returning for a 5th season. Defensively this team is looking better now. Just need one or two more DB’s.
  4. People have made fun of me for having a go bag. But I don’t care. I have one in my car and about two or three at home. Enough cash and ammo to last a few weeks. Then there is the medical supplies, water, purifiers, matches, important documents all laminated, compass, knives, batteries. lights and an emergency radio. Only thing I am missing are some night vision or thermal goggles.
  5. Wasn’t referring to Yelich being in decline was just stating that even in a decline he would be more valuable than Montgomery.
  6. I don't believe this will happen as I believe the Brewers haven't reached out to Contreras on any type of a deal currently.
  7. The only trade that makes some sense financially would be if the Dbacks took on all of Yelich's remaining salary including deferments in a Yelich for Montgomery trade. Financially it would make sense for the Brewers but I think even with a declining Yelich he would provide more value on the field than Montgomery would. It would get the Brewers out of a long term contract with Yelich and would free up some money for other extensions. Neither team would do this and I am not sure Yelich would approve the deal anyways.
  8. I haven't seen anything like that.
  9. Turang as that is what he played the majority of the time as in the minors.
  10. Higgins is going to cost a ton to get. I don’t think you can sign him and get someone like Garrett in a trade. I don’t think the salary cap math will allow for it.
  11. They wouldn’t. Eldridge is untouchable unless you want to give up Chourio. The Giants told the White Sox and Astros no during their trade talks for Tucker and Crochett. There is no way they would trade him for Peralta.
  12. That was Jaylon Johnson.
  13. The Dbacks are probably more interested in trading Montgomery than they are of trading Suarez. If the Dbacks are serious about trading Suarez there are probably 2-3 teams that would be interested along with the Brewers. Will have to pay a bit more to get Suarez than he is worth and I am not sure the Brewers would be willing or interested in doing that. The Dbacks are having a hard time finding a buyer for Montgomery. The Cubs said no and I have heard one other team has already told the Dbacks they were not interested.
  14. Another bad loss to a terrible team.
  15. I don't believe a single starter played for the Bills today it was basically a preseason game. Trubisky was the starting QB for the Bills today and Maye only played briefly for the Patriots.
  16. Came in at 9th and I believe the Saints have a tie breaker over the Bears so they stayed at 9th. If they would have lost then they would have had the 8th pick. So didn't drop at all.
  17. LOL ***? Can the Packers please play real football because I don't want the #10 pick.
  18. As Nancy Reagan said "Just say no to Lux" - Probably.
  19. I agree. I believe a trade with the Tigers starts and ends with Peralta. Their biggest weakness would be at starting pitching. Peralta would easily slot in as the #2 or #3 pitcher in the Tigers rotation. I am just not sure the Tigers have the prospects the Brewers would want beyond Jung. Maybe something like Jung, Melton and another piece but I think that leaves you short of Peralta's value. If the Tigers get Bregman I would definitely dangle Peralta and try to get Jung from the Tigers somehow. An INF of Turang, Ortiz and Jung would be rather amazing.
  20. Check his stats no one is giving up a lot for him. He has been one of the worst 1B in MLB offensively.
  21. Torkelson doesn't really have much value and the Brewers could easily get him as he has been absolutely horrendous offensively for the Tigers. I doubt the Brewers would want Torkelson as he just K's way too much and he is very poor defensively at 1B. Torkelson is like a slightly better version of Bauers. If the Tigers sign Bregman it would take a lot to get Jung and the others seem to be more like bench players. I am not sure there is a fit here between the Brewers and Tigers. Maybe in the rotation to replace Cobb with Peralta or something but I think the Brewers would need to get another piece back besides Jung in a Peralta trade.
  22. Yes, the Brewers came in second to the Cubs on the Darvish sweepstakes that year.
  23. From the people I have talked to they don't really have information on this. MLB has been very tight lipped on this and I think the teams don't know for 100% sure how much they will be getting from MLB yet either. Well the teams know they will be getting less than what their contracts were previously paying them. The Brewers are fine paying a lot for a player in FA if it means it is a short term contract. Last year they kind of went away from this with Hoskins. Mark A has also said in the past that they will increase the budget if it makes sense. They have only done that a few times since Mark A has taken over and almost went over by a lot if Darvish would have signed along with Cain.
  24. From what I have heard the Brewers (Mark A) would sign a player if it costs them a draft pick but only for the right player. Santander is not that.
