  1. It is physically not possible to gain 25lbs of muscle in the time frame that is being talked about. At most you are going to gain about 2-3lbs of muscle a month. You will gain more when you start and then you will start to flatten out as it gets harder and harder to add more muscles. Frelick may have gained 25lbs but it wasn't all in muscle. He probably gained about 8lbs in muscle and about 17lbs in fat. Even if Frelick was on the best roids known to man he wouldn't gain 25lbs of muscle in about 4 months. If we take the average of 3lbs a month that would be about 12lbs of muscle. Most professional body builders can't even hit that. Realistically he probably only gained about 4lbs of muscle.
  2. One large market team down. The Mets will be streaming their games through MLB Media and there will be no blackouts for the Mets in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. Currently the Dodgers, Phillies, Astros, Mariners, Giants, Orioles and Nationals do not have a streaming option. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those teams join MLB Media instead of building their own streaming option. Financially it makes more sense to work with someone who already has the infrastructure built to do this and MLB Media already has it built and is probably the best of all sports streaming. Article from the Athletic where the Mets (SNY) chose MLB Media over developing their own. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6143098/2025/02/18/mets-sny-streaming-blackout/
  3. Ummm no one talking about that pathetic showing by Jackson in the dunk contest? Good because it was absolutely horrendous and should be forgotten forever.
  4. This is incorrect we all know Italians grow by eating mushrooms it is a scientific fact proven by the great plumbers Mario and Luigi!
  5. Ortiz had an injury that impacted his swing where he had to change his swing in the middle of the season. That is never a good thing in the middle of the season. I would take Ortiz second half with a very fine pinch of salt. Ortiz didn't start to show some improvement until about September. I think his first half will be closer to what you can expect of him going forward career wise.
  6. This US Canada game is just awesome. Three fights to begin and a lot of hard hits. This is a great game for an exhibition game.
  7. lol the first link on google search for this is a 404 error. https://help.fanduelsportsnetwork.com/Answer/Detail/000001528 It was supposed to be this month but they never gave a date of when.
  8. I think the money is on Rodgers going to the Steelers. The Steelers are kind of caught in the they are good but not good enough to be a threat in the AFC. They are the Kohl era Bucks of the NFL. Even if they add Rodgers it isn’t really enough to push them over into the top tier of teams in the AFC. Still a playoff contender but that is it. I don’t believe the Vikings are a serious destination for Rodgers. The 49ers could be a sneaky team for Rodgers depending what they do with Purdy.
  9. So with full return to office we have lost two people already with at least four looking for new jobs and of those four one or two may have offers. Interviewing for the two who left is just ugggg. I like my job but full RTTO is not something I am looking forward to.
  10. Since 2021 he has only played a total of 205 games and has only 863 PA’s over that span. For a full season it is about 600 PA’s. That gives the Angels about a season and two months over four seasons worth of PA’s.
  11. Yeah they need to drive to the basket more as they are becoming way too reliant on the 3-point shooting. Mitchell needs to do more driving to the basket instead of settling for 3’s.
  12. There goes a top 4 seed for Marquette.
  13. Why would the Brewers even want to do this? Rendon hasn’t even played more than 60 games since 2019. He is just not worth it unless the Brewers would be paying him the league minimum. He just doesn’t bring any value.
  14. Looking like another loss unless they can turn this around.
  15. If they are bounced from the first round I could see Giannis saying enough and demanding a trade. As bad as that sounds I think it is probably the right direction for the franchise to go. The only thing with Giannis is that there are not that many teams you could trade him to. I thought Golden State would be that team but they traded and signed Butler to a new contract. I don't think they are a realistic destination now. The only other team I can think of is a three team trade between the Bucks Suns and another team. Bucks receive picks and an expiring contract. The Suns would receive Giannis and the third team would receive Durant. Dame I think probably goes to Miami for expiring and picks. The only thing that is going to suck is that these picks are going to be in the 15-20+ range. Yeah the Bucks will get multiple of these picks but ouch that is going to hurt to lose Dame, Middleton and Giannis for picks in the 15-20+ range. I just don't believe Giannis will want to stick around for a rebuild. He has said in the past he wants the team to be improving and I just don't see him wanting to stay around with a team that is a maybe a 8-10 seed in the playoffs. He will want to be on a team that is more of a championship contender and not a maybe we make the playoffs team.
  16. I think after this season it will be interesting what this team does. Do they tear it down or do they try and get a 3rd superstar? Will Giannis request a trade if they don’t improve?
  17. Yes but you also need to receive value back. Trading Quero+ for Cease would be a negative value for the Brewers. So the other team would need to give up something else here.
  18. Yes prospects are just prospects but wasting said assets on a 1-year rental is just dumb. If you want to trade someone like Quero you do it for someone with more control. It is not the trading of Quero that is the problem it is the player coming back that is the problem.
  19. What do you mean they don't know their history? They called it a Mo Vaughn signing which implies neither a good or bad signing just a player that they thought he would emulate if a team signed him to a long term contract. I was thinking more Ryan Howard but they didn't think Alonso would drop as fast as Howard did so they said Mo Vaughn. You read way too much into what was actually said.
  20. My friends called him a Mo Vaughn signing to whoever signs him long term.
  21. The people I talked to are non Brewers people. I only asked their opinion on what they thought the Brewers would do. These are just some people that I know who work in front offices in MLB.
  22. Alonso basically had to resign with the Mets as other teams were not interested in signing him to a long term contract and losing their pick or so I have been told. Alonso also preferred to come back to the Mets on a short term deal as he was only looking for a long term deal with a team not named the Mets. I was told the Angels were interested in Alonso but nothing ever came of the interest. Brewers had some internal conversations but that is as far as it went. I wouldn't be surprised if the next CBA removes the losing of a pick for signing QO'd players. I think the team losing the player will still get a pick and the QO will still be there but the losing of a pick will be removed. Both the players and teams are not fully happy with the QO system. I asked my contacts what they think the Brewers will do at 3B and they said they believe the Brewers will just stick with Ortiz at 3B and move Turang to SS. They don't expect the Brewers to add anyone in FA for 3B.
  23. LOL From the investopedia link you quoted: You continue to dig yourself in a hole with your lying.
  24. Again it did not start the great depression. You said it kicked it off. No one is saying it didn't hurt the economy during that period. You were the one who said it was kicked off by the tariffs when it was not. The article you linked to doesn't even state it kicked off the great depression. Again you are just lying and now putting up word salads to cover it up. The real kick off of the great depression was the Federal Reserve. From Milton Friedman: https://www.pbs.org/fmc/interviews/friedman.htm QUESTION: What happened during the Depression? MILTON FRIEDMAN: We have to distinguish what we mean when we talk about the Great Depression. What you had was that in 1929 the United States was in a boom. It hit a relative high point. And the stock market crashed in October 1929. But that was not the cause of what caused the Great Depression. It was, in my opinion, a very minor element of it. What happened was that from 1929 to 1933 you had a major contraction which, in my opinion, was caused primarily by the failure of the Federal Reserve System, to follow the course of action for which it was set up. It was set up to prevent exactly what happened from 1929 to 1933. But instead of preventing it, they facilitated it. The Depression, I may say, which started in 1929 was rather mild from 1929 to 1930. And, indeed, in my opinion would have been over in 1931 at the latest had it not been that the Federal Reserve followed a policy which led to bank failures, widespread bank failures, and led to a reduction in the quantity of money. What happened was that for every $100 of money, by which I mean the cash that people keep in their pockets, and the deposits they have in the bank, for every $100 of money that there was in 1929, by 1933 there was only $67. The Federal Reserve allowed the quantity of money to decline by a third. While, at all times, it had the possibilities and the power of preventing that from happening.
