  1. The absolute worst QB in Badgers history Locke.
  2. Here is another example why Locke is bad. On the incompletion during the field goal drive that should have been a TD. Instead of throwing it to the sideline Locke throw it more inside allowing the DB to get back into the play and getting there hand in to knock the ball away. If he throws that more to the sideline and higher it is a TD or pass interference. Instead he allowed the DB to get back in the play and cause an incompletion. He has done this multiple times now and not just in the end zone. He is not accurate and he still hasn’t figured out where to place balls for his WR’s. The WR’s on this team are actually talented and good for a change but the Badgers still have an absolutely horrible QB who can’t make a good throw and can’t make a read to save his life.
  3. But this team is not short on talent. There is talent there it is just that in offense you have a horrible QB who can’t move and makes absolutely moronic decisions. The last pass that was tipped it was lucky it got tipped because the DB was breaking on that ball for an INT. Locke just stares down who he is going to throw to even if he has time. They need to bench him and get the next QB ready for next year. Locke is not a starting QB he just isn’t maybe at a lower level but not at this level. He would be great at UW-Whitewater where he wouldn’t have to read defenses.
  4. This team can’t run the ball because the other teams defense knows Locke can’t beat them. So just play the run and watch Locke mess up on pass plays.
  5. Can we just bench Locke already? I don’t care that the backup may not be ready. Getting annoyed by Locke not even improving at all.
  6. I don’t care what anyone says Locke is not a smart QB. He is Trubisky level bad at QB when it comes to seeing the field and thinking. An absolute moron at QB.
  7. Scratch what exactly? For the Brewers to sign him as a FA? You do know that a team can still trade for him right?
  8. Having the statue Lopez on defense doesn’t help anything either. The example above you can see Lopez retreating to the basket without even an attempt to help out on defense once his assignment goes to the perimeter. Then he just sits there next to someone already covered. Is Lopez assignment just the rim or something?
  9. All of Horst’s picks have been late 1st round picks. Which historically have been garbage the majority of the time. If you are drafting in the 20+ range it is like expecting a star player in the 6th round of the NFL draft. You are lucky if you get a rotational pick in that range. In the 2022 draft where the Bucks selected Marjon only Nikola Jović has been better. The Bucks haven’t drafted lower than 20 since 2017 and have only kept their pick four times since 2017. Can’t really blame Horst on the bad draft picks when he hasn’t really had many to choose from and where he has been drafting.
  10. It is funny seeing so many Cardinals on that list. Not to mention the Cardinals will be cutting their payroll and they won't be as active in free agency. At least I don't expect the Cardinals to sign anyone major in FA and I don't expect them to trade for anyone who would add to their payroll. I don't think the Brewers would have much interest in trading Civale unless a team came to them and blew them away. I don't see a team coming to the Brewers and blowing them away and trying to trade for Civale. I would put Peralta on the list before I would put Civale on it. Though I think last off season would have been the time to trade Peralta. The Brewers still could get a good return for Peralta but I think it is significantly less and by a lot this off season.
  11. Game 1 of this World Series was probably the best WS game in a long time. Then every game after that one was just meh. So we got one great game and a bunch of stinkers.
  12. I see no such reports. Have a link?
  13. I think the Dodgers will want to get Pages more time in CF than put Edman there.
  14. If the Dodgers sign Adames would that make Edman available from the Dodgers? While he wouldn’t be the best 3B he wouldn’t be the worst defensively either. Plus he could play other positions and will only cost about $10mm next year. Not bad for a 1-year deal. I don’t think it would cost all that much to get him from the Dodgers either. Maybe a teams 15-20 ranked prospect and another lower level player probably someone from the DSL.
  15. That is basically the NBA model. You keep your superstar for as long as you can gamble everything on that superstar and hopefully you get one or more championships. Look at the Nets they gambled everything on Kyrie and Durant then went broke. It is basically the circle of life in the NBA. If you find a superstar you latch onto that superstar until you can't anymore. The Celtics are starting to get into this cycle now. This is just how the NBA works. Even if the Bucks trade Giannis they won't get back a lottery pick. Giannis would kill a trade to a team that won't be competing. It would have to be to a team that is going to be competing for a championship. Those teams also won't have the young talent to trade either. You are basically just going to get late to mid first round picks plus some expiring contracts. The only good thing for the Bucks is they have two players who could get this return. So you could stock up on mid range picks.
  16. It is like being a Brewers fan. I think I enjoy the misery of losing in weird and bad ways.
  17. How about Will Wagner as a utility player upgrade. He won’t wow anyone with his stats but he would fill a hole for the Brewers. I am just not sure what the Blue Jays would want for him as he is pre-arb.
  18. Confirmation bias here but I really believe a Bohm for Williams trade is close to be fairing for both teams. Will the Phillies do this? Probably not as I think they value Bohm more than a closer. I believe the Brewers would do this trade as I think they are comfortable with who they have in the minors and who is already on the roster to replace Williams spot in the bullpen. It is the Phillies side of thing that is questionable. How much do they value Bohm? Do they think he is a 3B or do they think he is a 1B? If they think he is a 1B then there really isn't much room for him on the Phillies roster. If the Phillies trade him would they prefer someone like Williams or prospects? I think they would go with someone like Williams (MLB veteran) considering where they are at as an organization. I don't think a prospect package would be all that enticing for the Phillies to trade Bohm and if other teams see Bohm as a 1B and not a 3B then his value drops a bit. He goes from $15-20mm in excess value to about $10-15mm in excess value. This is taking into consideration defense at 3B is far more valuable than defense at 1B. I am skeptical that the Phillies would do a trade like this but they really do need some bullpen help late in the game and they have the budget to resign Williams if they wanted to. Even with that I think they go another route if they trade Bohm. Though trading Bohm will all depend on where the Phillies think his best spot defensively is at. If they think he is a 1B I expect Bohm to be traded as they have Harper at 1B already and already have two DH candidates in Castellanos and Schwarber. It is just really hard to put Bohm at 1B for the Phillies when they already have a better offensive option with Harper and have two just as good or better DH options.
  19. I think the problem was Locke last night and the WR's for a bit. Pauling early in the game was dropping passes but then he came back alive in the 2nd quarter. Then to start the third quarter Locke's internal clock went I have to throw the ball as soon as I get it there is a guy just about to hit me as soon as I get the ball. This screwed up the timing with the WR's as they could never get on the same book as Locke was on let alone the same page. They had to go to the run game and PSU knew this. They dared Locke to beat them and he couldn't do it. The Badgers were running somewhat successfully in the 1st half but PSU made an adjustment to go all out and stop the run. Locke failed at picking the team up. He couldn't get out of his own head with the timing. He was constantly throwing way too early in his reads. He didn't even look at the field before throwing he locked in as soon as he got the ball. He had plenty of time last night to survey the field but never did it. There were times if he had just waited one more second a receiver would have been open for him to throw to. Then there was the possible TD throw on play action where he absolutely gaffs and throws the ball way to far. It was an easy throw that should be made 100% of the time. He can't even make the easy throws consistently. I am going to harp on this again but Locke is a horrible QB and he shouldn't be starting. I would rather go with someone who is not ready to play than keep on running Locke out there. He hasn't improved a single bit since he has been the starter. I will remove the Alabama game for him but going from the USC game to the PSU game he hasn't improved and has actually gone backwards in development. Even in the Purdue game he looked absolutely horrible at QB. One of the interceptions wasn't fully his fault though he had some fault in it by throwing the ball low when he just needed to lead his receiver a bit to give the receiver an easier catch. All of his other INT's and mistakes are all on him. If the team is to go forward they need to remove Locke from the starting QB job.
  20. The defense tried but Locke decided to throw the game away. I hope Locke transfers after this season as that would be the best outcome for the Badgers. He should be benched going forward. He hasn’t improved at all. Every game it is the same issue as the last game or it is something new. This game it is the decision making and him throwing the ball way too early. Other games it is the bad decision making and horrendously inaccurate throws. He just sucks as a QB and it is time to just move on.
  21. It is not helping when your QB has 3-5 seconds more to throw and throws before the receiver can get out of their cut. I am just tired of seeing Locke at QB. His decision making is just absolutely horrendous. People keep on saying how smart he is but yet game after game play after play he makes absolutely stupid decisions. If he is a smart QB then I fear what they think is a dumb QB.
  22. Locke just sucks bench him already!
  23. Apparently PSU’s backup QB can complete a pass to a wide open WR. Why can’t Locke do this?
  24. I don’t believe the I formation would help at all. PSU’s d-line is just beating the Badgers O-line. They are beating them to spots and over powering them. They are just crashing the running lanes. I think the Badgers need to call some play action but you can’t trust Locke to not make a mistake.
  25. Locke again with an absolutely horrendous throw.
