  1. Do we know if they have discontinued their China scouting department? I thought I read somewhere that they had set one up that year they signed a Chinese pitcher who flamed out due to TJ issues I believe?
  2. All of these signings are why the Brewers were never going to be in on Sasaki and I believe this was and is the right approach for the Brewers.
  3. I am going to wait to board the hype train until they are in A ball at least.
  4. I am going to assume Chourio will play for Venezuela.
  5. Financial sector especially at a bank is scarping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to developer talent. So many morons that just barely know how to sign into the systems let alone code.
  6. Where we work we have our own version of an AI prompt. It is absolutely horrible for anything dealing with code especially Python. Python is what is used for the most part where I work along with JAVA. For Python someone used the AI to write some code and it absolutely destroyed a server because it installed pandas that are not allowed due to risk issues and installed some newer versions that were not approved yet making other code other teams have created to stop working. It was an absolute mess.
  7. It was rather clear it was the Dodgers or Padres early on. The agent and handlers were just blowing smoke about the information they were leaking out.
  8. Not the best site for team salary but Spotrac has the Brewers estimated at about $108mm and Fangraphs has the Brewers at $116mm. The Brewers opened last year at $105mm. 2023 is when the Brewers had an opening day payroll of $118mm. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2023/04/06/mlb-team-payrolls-2023-highest-lowest-mets/11612107002/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/2024/04/03/mlb-team-payrolls-2024-highest-lowest-mets/73139425007/ https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/milwaukee-brewers/overview/_/year/2025/sort/cap_total2 https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/payroll/brewers?season=2025
  9. None, unless Mark A decides to invest more into the team and also gets buy in from the other investors. Yearly reminder that Mark A is only the majority owner of the Brewers.
  10. If the Brewers sign Alonso it would be their only major signing. Polanco or Moncada would have to agree to sign for league minimum and that is just not going to happen.
  11. Hallman will be returning for a 5th season. Defensively this team is looking better now. Just need one or two more DB’s.
  12. People have made fun of me for having a go bag. But I don’t care. I have one in my car and about two or three at home. Enough cash and ammo to last a few weeks. Then there is the medical supplies, water, purifiers, matches, important documents all laminated, compass, knives, batteries. lights and an emergency radio. Only thing I am missing are some night vision or thermal goggles.
  13. Wasn’t referring to Yelich being in decline was just stating that even in a decline he would be more valuable than Montgomery.
  14. I don't believe this will happen as I believe the Brewers haven't reached out to Contreras on any type of a deal currently.
  15. The only trade that makes some sense financially would be if the Dbacks took on all of Yelich's remaining salary including deferments in a Yelich for Montgomery trade. Financially it would make sense for the Brewers but I think even with a declining Yelich he would provide more value on the field than Montgomery would. It would get the Brewers out of a long term contract with Yelich and would free up some money for other extensions. Neither team would do this and I am not sure Yelich would approve the deal anyways.
  16. I haven't seen anything like that.
  17. Turang as that is what he played the majority of the time as in the minors.
  18. Higgins is going to cost a ton to get. I don’t think you can sign him and get someone like Garrett in a trade. I don’t think the salary cap math will allow for it.
  19. They wouldn’t. Eldridge is untouchable unless you want to give up Chourio. The Giants told the White Sox and Astros no during their trade talks for Tucker and Crochett. There is no way they would trade him for Peralta.
  20. That was Jaylon Johnson.
  21. The Dbacks are probably more interested in trading Montgomery than they are of trading Suarez. If the Dbacks are serious about trading Suarez there are probably 2-3 teams that would be interested along with the Brewers. Will have to pay a bit more to get Suarez than he is worth and I am not sure the Brewers would be willing or interested in doing that. The Dbacks are having a hard time finding a buyer for Montgomery. The Cubs said no and I have heard one other team has already told the Dbacks they were not interested.
  22. Another bad loss to a terrible team.
  23. I don't believe a single starter played for the Bills today it was basically a preseason game. Trubisky was the starting QB for the Bills today and Maye only played briefly for the Patriots.
  24. Came in at 9th and I believe the Saints have a tie breaker over the Bears so they stayed at 9th. If they would have lost then they would have had the 8th pick. So didn't drop at all.
  25. LOL ***? Can the Packers please play real football because I don't want the #10 pick.
