  1. Some on here are going to hate the playoff structure once MLB expands by at least two teams. The playoffs will also expand by two teams once that happens. The owners have already stated it will expand once the two new teams are added into the league. They were actually going to expand the playoffs in the last CBA but decided to stick with the current format until the league expands. It will be at least fourteen teams total in the playoffs once the league expands and don't be surprised if it is sixteen teams in total. I think they go to a 5-5-7 format but I think that would require shortening the season by about 10-15 games. I don't believe MLB would do that so it probably goes 3-5-7 like it is now. I like the idea that the home team in a three game series would only need to win once. That would give home field advantage an actual advantage in baseball. I would also like to see the lottery removed for the first round picks. Instead do a playoff with all of the lower seeds for the #1 pick. So the teams eligible for picks 1-8 would play a single elimination playoff series. The farther the team goes in the playoffs the better their pick becomes. The worst team in MLB gets the #1 seed if they are eligible to draft in the first 10 picks. If they are not eligible then it goes to the next team and on down. All games are to be played at stadiums that have a roof that are not in the WS playoffs. Would also like to see some roster restrictions like the players can't be pending free agents and any players who are not arbitration eligible that are on the roster are guaranteed a roster spot on next years opening day roster, the 26 man roster specifically.
  2. He was a hot name last year. I would still take him as a manager as I don't believe managers have that much of an impact on a team. If they did then why did the Cubs not improve with one of the best managers in the league and why did the Brewers have so much success without one of the best managers in the league? If the Brewers wanted to bring Seitzer in to be a hitting coach I would be fine with that also. Both Seitzer and Sal should find jobs rather quickly. This sounds like more of sacrificial lambs than anything else. Also 2025 is Snitker's final year as his contract ends after the 2025 season. This maybe a last chance for Snitker in Atlanta.
  3. I am the believer of letting players walk who are not superstar caliber players ie Judge, Ohtani, Trout or Harper types and always to let a pitcher walk instead of giving them a long term deal unless it is team friendly.
  4. It depends how much does it really cost to air on YouTube? I believe Bally just wanted more than what YouTube was willing to give them so Bally just didn't do it. YouTube and the other streaming services called their bluff on increasing the price to have their channel. YouTube didn't budge on this and Bally walked away. I don't believe this had anything to do with it making money for Bally. This is more along the line of this tactic works and they won't budge from this position. I think this is mute though as MLB probably won't negotiate with YouTube and others until they get the 14 teams TV and digital rights. I think they are at 6 right now so they need 8 more teams to do what they want to do which is to bundle 14 teams together for digital streaming rights and then pay each team an equal share of that money.
  5. When did the Mariners, Padres and Rays win a World Series?

  7. Apparently the Cardinals are going for a rebuild and will make Contreras, Gray, Helsley and Arenado available this offseason to reduce payroll. This fits in with them not wanting to bring back Goldschmidt this offseason. The NL Central looks like it will be a three team race again with the Brewers Cubs and Reds being the favorites. The Pirates are a wild card team. If the Cardinals trade all four of those players they could be the bottom team in the division. This should be an interesting offseason for the NL Central.
  8. The Dbacks had even less time than the Brewers did and MLB made it work. Basically MLB will be doing the negotiating for the Brewers with the cable companies. Currently MLB doesn't have any rules for or against OTA. I think the Brewers would have to negotiate this themselves if MLB will allow it that is. It will be Brewers.TV but that will just take you to brewers.com. You can watch the game from there in market or through MLB.TV. The free T-Mobile doesn't allow you to watch in market games those are still blacked out. I believe the free T-Mobile is still bound by the old rules and doesn't include any of the in market changes.
  9. They were already planning a bundle earlier this year.
  10. Just for the Brewers no it won’t change but if MLB bundles all the teams together with no blackout restrictions then I could see something changing. Otherwise everything stays the same. The free T-Mobile thing doesn’t apply to Dbacks though that is still blacked out.
  11. For the Dbacks they just took over the channel they were on previously but the Suns also didn’t have a contract either so no Bally in Phoenix. Not sure how that will work for the Brewers with the Bucks still having a deal with Bally. Probably will be a whole new channel just for the Brewers. May even have an OTA option depending on what the Brewers do.
  12. I was thinking Moeller but not 100% sure.
  13. Mitchell’s value is not that high. Ask again at the end of next year if he stays healthy. Look the White Sox are not trading Robert for someone who has MLB experience maybe a throw in but not as the main return. The White Sox need to rebuild their farm system and trading Robert for Mitchell doesn’t do that. If the trade doesn’t start with someone like Pratt then I don’t think you have a deal.
  14. I don’t believe the White Sox would have much interest in Black. They will want someone better than him plus more.
  15. Welcome to the Bucks IL.
  16. The Browns are not even close to being as bad as the Panthers are.
  17. It was more the WR's that helped him out. He is still inaccurate and makes a bunch of bad decisions. He had a few gimmes that could of went for long plays and no he wasn't being rushed either. He missed a few reads where there was a player open enough to make a pass but instead went the other way into someone who was completely covered. There was a play in the 1st quarter where he miss read the play and threw to a WR that had a DB basically in a spot where the WR couldn't make a catch but the TE was coming open. He had enough time and wasn't under any pressure to get rid of the ball there either. There was another play near the red zone where he throw to the sideline instead of throwing to the back of the end zone pylon. If he throws to the back of the end zone pylon the WR has a chance at a catch and an easy TD. He didn't even come close to that instead he threw it about 2-yards out of bounds where the WR had the DB beat. If he puts it in the back of the end zone near the pylon it is either an in completion or a TD. Where he threw it was a less than 0.1% chance of a catch. He is still not a great QB. He had a lot of passing yards and TD's in the game but he also had two interceptions and both were his fault. One where he threw low instead of leading his WR and another just an absolutely horrible decision after throwing a previous pass that was an absolutely horrible decision. His arm angle is also very problematic. He gets a lot of his balls tipped at the line of scrimmage because it comes out so low. When he tries to get some loft on the ball he doesn't have the arm strength to get it to a WR quickly enough. It hangs up in the air for far too long and allows the DB to get back into the play if they are beat. He is just not a good QB and the Badgers really should be looking at someone else going forward.
  18. I thought the White Sox were a bad team but the Panthers are far worse.
  19. Unlike MLB Bally has an agreement with the NBA to air the ‘24-‘25 season.
  20. I am a Bears fan but this is a game against the Panthers. This is like the Bears playing a game against a CFL team. The Panthers are the absolute worst team in the NFL and there really isn't any competition for them either. I have no idea how they beat the Raiders as that shouldn't have happened.
  21. Yes but he is so inconsistent. Purdue is just absolutely awful. I would take their QB though.
  22. Kekahuna looks good. Very undersized for a WR but he looks like he can run routes good and is extremely smart in finding holes in a zone. Looks promising going forward.
  23. Not sure what they were thinking there but it somehow worked. Locke had an easy TD pass but lofted the ball a bit too much. If he hits the WR in stride that is about as easy as it gets of a throw.
  24. Locke needs to be benched he is the worst QB ever in Badgers history.
  25. Pass should have been caught but WTH Locke. That was an absolutely horrendous throw. The pass wouldn’t have been enough for a 1st down. He didn’t even have to throw low on that play. If he leads the receiver instead of throwing low it is a possible 1st down.
