The B10 wants to expand the playoffs to 24 teams and get rid of the conference championship game. They would also get rid of the automatic qualifiers. Some of the playoff games would be played at the universities home field. This is being driven by the B10 and their TV contracts. The SEC wants a 16 team playoff but would keep the automatic qualifiers. The B10 is against this.

As a Bears fan I was happy when the Packers didn’t trade Rodgers. That would have been a massive haul of draft picks from Denver. I think Denver at the time was willing to trade for both Adams and Rodgers.

The Warriors apparently offered 4 unprotected first round picks for Giannis and the Bucks were not interested in that offer. The Heat are still interested in Giannis but it doesn’t look like a trade is likely by the deadline unless the Heat go crazy with their offer. I am still worried that the Bucks have decided to just tank the rest of the way this season and their plan is to trade that pick for someone like Morant.

There is a rumor that the Bucks plan to tank the rest of the season but will then trade the pick for a veteran to pair with Giannis. Yep this franchise is screwed.

If you believe the rumors the Bucks were not willing to put Rollins in a package for Morant. I am not sure the current front office would be willing to trade Rollins unless it was an overpay. I don’t see a team overpaying for Rollins. I think you get a 2nd round pick and maybe a developing younger player along with a salary dump.

Because he is the 4th or 5th option on the team for scoring. His job is to play defense and shoot 3's. It works when Giannis is on the court but when he is not then you have a team of #4 and #5 scoring options. The problem with the Bucks is that they don't have a #2 or #3 scorer on the team they have a bunch of guys who are a #4 or #5 scorer. Firing Rivers doesn't really do anything. If the Bucks fire Rivers tomorrow the team will still be bad. I am not a fan of Rivers at all and really it isn't his fault the team is so flawed. Though giving Rivers better players really wouldn't help either. So keeping Rivers right now basically allows the Bucks to tank which is what the Bucks really need to do. Bad drafting and bad trades giving away picks for horrible players. Other than Lillard I can't think of any trade that was even a slight positive for the Bucks. If the Bucks are going to compete with Giannis they need a #2 scorer behind him otherwise it doesn't matter what the Bucks do going forward. The Bucks could keep Giannis but if they don't get a #2 scorer behind him it won't matter. The best option for the Bucks right now is to trade Giannis and start over. Will it be painful? Oh yes it will be but at some point you have to do this or just continue to watch the Bucks into mediocrity until Giannis retires or requests a trade.

I am assuming this could be a good Turang comp on what it would take to sign him. Probably a bit more than Wilson so something like 6-years $84mm?

Nope the NFL nor the voters put in requirements for the Hall of Good. One voter didn’t vote for Belichick because they didn’t want Ken Anderson (QB), Roger Craig (RB) and L.C. Greenwood (LB) to fall off the list. Umm what??? None of these players are HoF worthy let alone Hall of Very Good worthy. The NFL HoF continues to be a joke. Just put everyone in who retires from the NFL if you are going to put in average players. These voters are going to put some career backup QB into the HoF at some point.

I don’t believe the Red Sox are going to subtract from their MLB roster and then only get prospects back. I don’t see the Brewers and Red Sox as good trading partners. They just don’t lineup with each other even if the Brewers would have traded Peralta to the Red Sox. The Red Sox didn’t have what the Brewers wanted. Duran has more value than Peralta and the Brewers wouldn’t have given up a prospect to get that deal done. The amount of control left in Duran wasn’t enough for the Brewers to do that. I don’t see anyone on the Red Sox who fall into the criteria the Brewers are looking for to cash in on the prospect capital they have. I don’t see many teams that have what the Brewers would want. Look for a Yelich that is possibly available or an Adames. I just don’t see that player right now that is available in a trade.

Sure but I was on board with trading Giannis this past offseason. Horst obviously wouldn’t but if you brought in a new GM and told them you want to rebuild I think they would be ok with that. The goal would be to rebuild and get as many assets as you can.

This is all dependent on the team overall and the opponent. If your defense can’t stop the other team’s offense then punting on a manageable 4th down is just as reckless. It can be even more reckless if your defense was just on a long drive and you only managed to get one first down and now you’re at 4th and 4 at your 40-yard line. Punting doesn’t really help you there. If your defense is tired does it matter if it is 40-yards for the other team to score or if it is 70 or 60 yards to score? This is all situational. I prefer a more aggressive coaching style over playing it safe.

I think all of that is irrelevant on what they thought they had. The team was still missing a #2 scorer and maybe even a #3. I don’t include Turner as a good #3 regardless of what the numbers say. The team has a bunch of 4th option players in the roster with a #1 in Giannis. This has never worked in the NBA. Jordan didn’t start winning championships until he got his #2 in Pippen. Same with Giannis when Middleton became that solid #2 scorer. Unfortunately Middleton’s health gave out on him. This past offseason was the time to start the rebuild. Cut the roster to its bones remove the GM. Let Doc stay or retire his choice. I think he would have retired if Giannis wasn’t playing for the Bucks to start the season. This team had too many holes and signing Turner didn’t fix any of them.

To be honest this should have been done before this season started.
