  1. Chourio really starting to get comfortable at the plate now.
  2. That was some bad defense there. Should have just let it go and hope it goes foul there. No need to go after that one. Near impossible to get an out there unless the 3B or Catcher gets it.
  3. Could also be the shift no longer being a thing and the models haven’t updated. So a play that would be marked as an easy out is no longer an easy out but Turang is making these outs. So he doesn’t get a boost when he should be.
  4. I agree just let the player be who they are. If they fail then start making changes otherwise just let them be who they are.
  5. If you sort by WAR from ‘94-now it goes Rodriguez, Bonds, Pujols, Trout and Chipper as the top 5 for hitters. For a list like this I think you need to separate the hitters and pitchers. If you use WAR Braun doesn’t come into the picture until 70th just behind Jose Reyes. People have to remember Braun was absolutely horrible at 3B defensively. Braun’s career D-WAR was only 1.5 better than Nelson Cruz.
  6. Yeah I don't see much if any playing time for Marjon.
  7. I am going to repeat this again. It is not the participation in the combine it is taking the physical at the combine. The physical at the combine is not mandatory. We do not know if he did or didn’t take the physical at the combine unless that has come out which I have not seen anything stating he has or hasn’t.
  8. Middleton had surgery on both ankles but is expected to be ready for the beginning of the season. Right now with Middleton I will believe it when it happens. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/bucks-khris-middleton-undergoes-surgery-on-both-ankles/amp/
  9. Marjon is going to get no playing time with Doc. So he will have to learn by sitting on the bench? I don't see how the Bucks don't trade Marjon at this point. As he is going to be used right now by Doc as a garbage time player. So the Bucks have already given up on Marjon.
  10. I am going to assume this means Beauchamp or Connaughton get traded or both now.
  11. Trent to the Bucks in a one year deal. https://www.nba.com/news/bucks-gary-trent-jr-free-agency
  12. Not sure the A’s would want Black either. I think they would be looking at AA prospects over MLB ready at this time. If they get someone back who is MLB ready I think that would be a throw in piece.
  13. There will be seniors drafted today with or without the first pick savings. Just go back to last year’s draft.
  14. Unknown at this time. Unless someone knows he took the physical at the combine.
  15. Pre-draft as in at the draft combine. Payne was at the combine it is unknown at this time if he had a physical at the combine or not.
  16. Pre-draft physical not physical participants. This is because of the Mets and what they did with Rocker in 2021.
  17. Risk of him not signing and the Brewers losing that slot value. Your first pick is your highest valued pick. Any savings on that pick means more you can spend later on. If you over spend on your first pick you have to subtract from one of the next two picks. The lower you get in the pick order the less savings you can get.
  18. Ray was the 6th ranked prospect in that draft and was rated as having a better hit and power tool than Payne. Maybe the Brewers should have did what they did this year and went with Bo Bichette the 90th ranked prospect in that draft.
  19. That is only if they did a pre-draft physical if they didn’t that rule doesn’t apply.
  20. I am not sure the A’s would have much if any interest in Mitchell. I think you could center something around Brown. I think Wiemer makes more sense for the A’s but he would be a throw in and not a major piece in the deal. Something like Brown, a pitching prospect and Wiemer makes sense for Rooker.
  21. In order to draft the Pratt’s and Bitoni’s you have to do what the Brewers did in the first round. You have to be able to sign someone to an under slot deal to do this. You are not going to be able to do this with players ranked around where you are picking. There seems to be this disconnect where people think you can do both when this is not the reality.
  22. All of the Brewers picks participated in the MLB combine which I found interesting. Of the players remaining I am interested in the following but they may need more money to sign than what the Brewers have left in their pool. Carson Wiggins RHP (HS) Mike Sirota OF Mason Russell LHP (HS) Gage Miller 1B/OF Ryan Prager LHP There will probably be some senior signs to even out the bonus pool so maybe one of Wiggins or Russell could be added with an over slot deal.
  23. No. I doubt there is much NIL money going to the baseball side maybe a bit more than what the track and field people get but not much more. NIL money goes Football -------> Men's Basketball ----> Women's Basketball -----------> Women's Gymnastics --> Women's Volleyball ----> Soccer / Hockey --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> everything else. NIL money isn't really a thing for baseball and if it is it is a smaller amount than what you could get in the draft. There are probably a few players who could get a top deal but I doubt they even crack the top 15 in terms of NIL deals. So the top players may get more than what you would earn in the minor leagues but everyone else it is probably less than what you would get in the minors. This is not taking into account any bonus money from being drafted either.
  24. That is not how the MLB draft works you also have to take into account what the player is going to sign for. You can only go over so much before you start losing future draft picks.
