  1. Yeah I’m not sure why the contracts are not at a minimum 2-years and require a 2-year commitment.
  2. They can make the contract for more than one year.
  3. Pena is a SS and most SS’s don’t come on the market all that often. There would be a bidding war where the Brewers if they were interested would need to use a Made plus offer to beat out other offers. The Brewers wouldn’t do this but there would be some serious competition for Pena if he became available. This is not a Pena is worth this type of a package more of the demand he would create would be worth that much.
  4. The NIL has been bad because the schools have made it bad. It is like the ones making the decisions about the NIL money have never managed anything before and are just theoretical thinkers. This is not rocket science here this shouldn’t be all that difficult to figure out.
  5. Pena would be a very expensive get prospect wise. You are looking at a possible Made and another piece type of deal. I don’t see the Brewers doing that kind of trade. If Pena were to be made available on the trade market the Astros would have their pick of elite talent. You may have to overpay to get him so more than Made and another piece.
  6. If your place still has coax then you can do moca.
  7. That’s ok he doesn’t know who you are either.
  8. There was what one horrible tragedy and then another caused by a tsunami? As far as safety goes nuclear has had less safety issues than any other type of power plant.
  9. Mitchell should have swung at that 3-1 pitch but you know must work the count and make the pitcher throw more pitches.
  10. I think Ham or whoever as HC for the Bucks will be fine if no Giannis. Looking for a HC right now shouldn’t be the main focus. Whoever is picked will just be a temporary HC until one is actually needed. If Giannis is returning then the Bucks are going to be the same as they are now. I am not sure there is a HC out there that will improve the team.
  11. I agree with the more muscle to his frame and he would be a better 3B. I have only seen Made in spring training and he didn’t look all that good defensively at SS. He kind of reminds me of Oneil Cruz defensively. I think Made would be a better 2B or CF defensively.
  12. The last time I looked the US was already getting 20% of its power from renewables. The sweet spot is somewhere around 25-30 percent. I would rather see nuclear jump past 20% which maybe possible with the nano nuclear plants coming online soon. I just don’t see renewables being a good idea as being the main source of energy. Nuclear should really be 40 percent or higher. Then you split the rest with natural gas and renewables. Probably a 30-30 split then gradually reducing to a 40-20 split in favor of renewables. Ideally you would want nuclear at 60 percent and then 30 percent renewables and the final 10 percent natural gas. Economically this makes the most sense and environmentally it is far better.
  13. From what I have read other NBA GM’s believe the Bucks overpaid for Turner. His contract is over inflated and if he were a FA today he wouldn’t get close to what he is getting now.
  14. I think Giannis is going to either the Heat or Warriors. The Heat make the most sense and are the easiest to trade with in terms of salary. If you believe the rumors that the Heat offered Herro and or Ware plus picks for Giannis at the deadline that is probably the best bet on where Giannis will be traded to. So 4 first rounders plus Herro from Miami for Giannis. Turner is probably the hardest to trade as I don’t believe he has much value with that contract. If the Bucks get an expiring plus a 2nd round pick or a top 15 protected pick they would be extremely lucky.
  15. I think this is also good bye to Giannis also.
  16. He keeps on trying to pull everything since game one of the season. He has been one of the worst hitters on the Brewers so far this year. I would put Frelick below Ortiz and just above Regnifo, Lockridge and Perkins.
  17. Frelick needs to be in AAA remembering who he is as a hitter. You are not Babe Ruth Frelick!
  18. Can include Frelick on that list. He has been absolutely awful.
  19. Can Frelick stop pretending to be Russel Branyan soon?
  20. No interest doesn't mean no offer made, there are varying levels of interest no interest meaning you give a poor offer and see if the team bites. If they don't then no loss. If there were serious interest in Megill in the offseason a trade would have been made.
  21. But no teams did. The Brewers made available in the offseason.
  22. They did try to trade him just no one was interested.
  23. Late to the game but the jersey looks like a bad little league jersey. Just missing the cheesy local sponsor on the jersey.
  24. I was thinking about a major restructuring of the league. First, eliminate the American League and National League entirely and replace them with a single league divided into four divisions. In the first year, 32 teams would compete, with 8 teams making the playoffs. In year two, the system evolves: the 8 playoff teams from the previous season are placed into a new “Championship Division.” The playoffs then expand to 10 teams. Within this format, the top two seeds receive a double bye. In the early rounds, higher seeds would only need to win one game to advance, while lower seeds would need to win two—essentially creating short, advantage-based series where the higher seed has a significant edge. Teams that fail to make the playoffs while in the Championship Division are relegated back to a lower division the following season. Divisions would be realigned every year based on performance. There would also be a designated “Losers Division” made up of the bottom 8 teams. If a team remains in this division for more than three consecutive seasons, it would be relegated to AAA, and a AAA team would be promoted to replace it. The promoted team cannot be an affiliate of the relegated franchise. As for player movement: players on a relegated team who are not under long-term contracts and who have at least five years of experience would become free agents. Players without long-term contracts and with fewer than five years of experience could be assigned to the promoted AAA team, if that team chooses to accept them. If not, those players would enter a mini-draft, where other teams could select them (provided they have available roster space). Any undrafted players would then become free agents. Just a crazy idea which would never happen so Manfred if you are listening please do this.
