  1. I am not offended it is just that some scenes don’t advance the plot or are not part of a character’s development hence the unnecessary part. Scenes should advance the plot or be part of a characters development otherwise it is just a time filler. I don’t mind the nudity or sex or violence as long as it is moving the plot or is an integral part of a character’s development. I explained further down in my post what I was referring to about the unnecessary part.
  2. Burnout would be my guess plus a change of scenery. Sometimes people just leave jobs because they just don’t want to work there anymore. It may just be something as simple as Counsell thought he couldn’t take the Brewers any further than he already did and it is time for a new challenge.
  3. Well the Mets offered less than what the Brewers did.
  4. Maybe if he would be willing to be a reliever but otherwise no. All of his pitches have been bad. Though he did start throwing a cutter recently. Rumor is that he won’t accept being a reliever.
  5. No thanks on Clevinger at or near $8m. If he signs for something around what Rea got sure then I have no problem with signing Clevinger. At best he is a #5 pitcher and you really want to sign a #5 pitcher around $8m? I would rather get another bullpen piece for that than spend it on someone like Clevinger.
  6. The next two movies I want to see are Deadpool 3 and Dune: Part Two. Dune: Part Two comes out on 3/1.
  7. From the outside looking in I think the Packers go LB/S in round 1 and then either LB/S/DB in round 2. If the Packers are to go OL or DL it will be to replace Runyan and not a DL. I don't think the Packers go early for an OL and they will wait until the 4th or 5th round to pick someone. I think Runyan will be gone and will sign with someone else. It doesn't make much sense to match a FA contract for an interior lineman like Runyan. I think the Packers just let him go if the cost is too high. So one interior lineman to replace Runyan is my guess as where the Packers will spend one of their 4th or 5th round picks. There should be plenty to choose from in these rounds. I wouldn't be surprised if the Packers go LB, LB, DB with their first three picks. But I think this is fairly accurate for the Packers though I am not sure with who was available at 25 if the Packers would stay there. I think they trade out of the 25th pick and pick up another pick in the 2nd and 4th/5th round. McCormick and Paul would be good projects both at T and G. The biggest improvement for the Packers comes on the defensive side with Cooper and Bullard. I like Rakestraw though and I think he could step in year one and play the slot or nickel package. If the Packers are to play more press with their CB's then Rakestraw makes a lot of sense at 25 but I think the Packers could get him in the 2nd round if they trade back and pick up some more picks either in this draft or next years. I think teams that will be hungry for T's and edge rushers will overpay and give up a 2nd this year and possibly a 4th and another pick in next years draft for a late 1st rounder.
  8. Madame Web is not a must see movie unless you want to watch a train wreck that has no plot. Somehow Morbius is actually a better movie than Madame Web. I have seen amateur movies with more of a plot. Heck a family video from the 1970's probably has more plot than Madame Web. No idea how or why this movie even made it past the hey we have this idea stage. It is absolute garbage.
  9. Would have to hope the Brewers could get Burns at 17 and then Jordan in the Comp A round. I am not sure that would happen. I am not really a Neighbors fan as I think he is a reliever only. It is way too early to say how this would go down but right now Jordan is probably a late 1st round pick which means he wouldn't make it to the Brewers at 34. I am not sure JD Dix is someone the Brewers would be interested in but he should be available around the 2nd or 3rd round. He is committed to Wake Forest. I am not sure how much it would take to get him to sign but I think you will have to go over slot for him to sign. Dix looks to be an interesting SS hopefully he recovers from his shoulder injury as his arm looked a bit below average at SS coming off that injury. If he recovers from that shoulder injury then he is an above average SS defensively. He won't hit a ton of HR's but he should be a good average hitter with some power 10-15 HR. At 17 I am going to stick with Cam Caminiti though the Brewers haven't drafted a HS pitcher in the first round in awhile now.
  10. The Padres also want a lot of prospects in return for Kim. They are also looking at having Merrill playing at SS to start the season if they move Kim. So Adames doesn’t fit with the Padres at all.
  11. It is basically what Giannis said after the game. https://theathletic.com/5280208/2024/02/16/giannis-bucks-loss-grizzlies/ From the article:
  12. Padres reject that trade as they don’t need Adames.
  13. Yeah MLB umpires are like instructions not clear call everyone safe for obstruction on non obvious calls and everyone out on obvious obstruction calls.
  14. Gallinari signs with the Bucks https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39534003/danilo-gallinari-agrees-sign-bucks-rest-season-agent-says
  15. It is EA so this will just be Madden reskinned with College teams.
  16. I believe it is the blocking of the base. So dropping to a knee and placing your leg in front of the base. If a fielder does this then it will be considered obstruction. If the ball is going towards the runner side of the base that wouldn't be obstruction. This is what MLB wants to stop. If the infielders leg is blocking the base then that is obstruction. From the article: So if the ball is going towards the runners path that would be in the act of fielding the ball so it wouldn't be obstruction. MLB has specifically called out the knee drop and the infielders leg blocking the base. This is what umpires have been instructed to watch for and to call as obstruction.
  17. Manfred will retire in January 2029. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/rob-manfred-says-he-will-step-down-as-mlb-commissioner-in-2029-will-not-seek-another-term/
  18. Rule change but not a rule change on obstruction. https://theathletic.com/5279087/2024/02/15/mlb-obstruction-rule-enforcement-explainer/?source=user_shared_article A quick overview of this. If a player blocks a base then the player is awarded the base and if they are advancing they are rewarded the base they are advancing to. So no more leg blocking a base as that is now ruled or was already as obstruction. Umpires will be calling this during the season.
  19. Badgers losing Greg Scruggs to Michigan.
  20. Sasaki will be attending Stanford. If 2025 doesn’t work out I say tank in 2026 and go for Sasaki!
  21. Well that was just a pathetic showing by the Bucks against Miami.
  22. Should be a very interesting game this weekend against UCONN. I think the 8-game winning streak comes to an end here. I am not sure Marquette will be able to survive their 2-minutes of can't score stretches against UCONN.
  23. Don’t criticize things that the Swifties care about!!! You may have to go in hiding now. You may even get a visit by the FBI and CIA! You may have to become a Cardinals fan now! No one would look for a Brewers fan as a Cardinals fan? Good luck Turbo!
  24. The White Sox would want to start with Chourio or Misiorowski. That is the White Sox starting point so you can throw out Frelick, Mitchell and Wiemer as a starting point. I don’t think a trade is possible with the White Sox for Cease.
