I think we are getting close to where ESPN won't be on cable or you will have to pay an even higher amount to get ESPN on cable. Which means the cable companies will definitely drop ESPN at some point. Fox teaming up with ESPN is interesting. You may have to watch MLB playoffs on a streaming platform at some point. I think MLB needs to get the regional sports issues situated and soon. They need to get the streaming rights back from the teams that sold them stupidly. The Brewers were dumb in selling their streaming rights. They didn't even get much for it. Hopefully MLB can get this back and Amazon doesn't get it as I think MLB will want to negotiate as a whole all teams instead of only having a few teams to sell to the streaming providers. If MLB can't get all of the teams streaming rights we will just be back where we were with the regional tv contracts. Teams like the Yankees, Dodgers, Cubs and others will be able to get a larger cut of the pie while the smaller market teams will get the scraps left over. MLB needs to get the rights back if you want to see a more even playing field. Yes this means you won't be able to just flip to the channel and you will have to subscribe to a service. With the new cable boxes this won't be a problem as the new cable boxes already coming with Netflix, Amazon, YouTube and other services applications.

I think the Bucks made the wrong trade. Beal would have been a better pickup but I don't think the Wizards would have wanted Middleton or Jrue. So the offensive problems wouldn't have been fixed by keeping Jrue. I think it would be the same team just with a different problem.

The one thing I want to complain about in movies and in TV series are all of the unnecessary sex scenes. It is fine if it is an important part of a characters development. But 99% of the sex scenes in movies or TV shows should be cut out. Majority of the time it is in there just to have that scene but it doesn't move the plot along or the characters development. Game of Thrones is guilty of this a lot of times. A lot of the sex scenes are just unnecessary and don't move the plot along or help with the characters development. Though that series is also a good example of how to do good sex scenes. I think they just went overboard after awhile on these and it was more we need to have one in this episode quick throw one in than it was developing the character or furthering along the story. Another rant done.

Right the bullpen is probably where the biggest substraction for wins will come from. Even a slightly less WPA will result in some more losses. Bullpens are like penny stocks.

I think Hoskins should equal the value of Santana and Canha at least. I also believe we will see improvements from Turang and Frelick offensively. Where I could see the Brewers going a bit backwards is in the bullpen. If the bullpen has even a slight down year which does tend to happen with bullpens that is where you could see a difference between last year and this year in the win and loss columns.

So Beauchamp stays but will he even play?

I finally decided to book a vacation and well it is for next year. Going to do a cruise through NCL from Barcelona to Venice in May of next year. Anyone gone on a cruise in Europe on NCL? Was this a good decision? Any pros or cons for something like this? I still need to get my passport.

I think Junis is probably closer to Chacin than he is to Teheran. I think Junis will be around a 4 ERA pitcher which to me sounds about right.

It really looks like Doc does not like Beauchamp. I think Beauchamp is gone by the deadline just not sure who will be included with him.

Majority of people in the Phoenix area know that Maryvale is not a safe area. Your skin color or if you speak Spanish or not doesn’t really matter. You can hear and talk in Spanish just about everywhere in Phoenix. Nearly every single neighborhood is Spanish speaking even the suburbs. If you live here long enough you know that Maryvale is not a safe area once the sun goes down. A lot of drugs and drug use in that area. Plenty of gang crimes and plenty of shootings. It is not Chiraq but it is also not safe to be out there late at night. There are only a few other areas I wouldn’t want to be in Phoenix compared to Maryvale.

This is only true if you are looking at the market of a single player. If you are looking at the market for a group of players then no this is not correct.
