  1. I disagree. The worst case scenario would have been PHI/MIA as the #2 seed. I don't put that much stock in regular season H2H matchups that haven't occurred since January. I much preferred the #3 seed vs Indy, versus the #2 seed vs MIA/PHI. If the seeds hold not having homecourt against the Knicks doesn't concern me either, especially without Randle
  2. In terms of lineup, I believe I read Murphy prefers Yelich in the three spot in the order and that's where he'll be most days (can't remember where I read that so no link, sorry)
  3. I'm a little surprised as I don't believe he's projected to be a R1 selection. Maybe he chasing more NIL money than Bucky's willing to pay....
  4. I certainly respect your opinion and know you are way more pessimistic than the majority of the board on the outlook for the season. However, I would be stunned if they were at 74 wins, in fact I have a futures ticket on season wins over 76.5 that I am quite confident in. The pitching has more questions than were used to around here, but the offense should be significantly improved. In regard to the rest of the division, I don't see this improvement your referring to. I guess we'll see whose crystal ball is clearer in the next 6 months
  5. I'll go with 16-14
  6. Daniel Freitag the 2024 commit from Minnesota is probably the best recruit of the Gard era. As long as Storr stays, there backcourt on paper will be the most athletic and skilled in a long time. The problem I have with GG is his inability to recruit athletic 4/5's. Their frontcourt is the big problem IMO
  7. I agree as long as Jacobs does get the majority of the carries. One of my biggest complaints with MLF is he used Dillon too much when it was Dillon and Jones. He treated them like RB 1 & 1A, not Jones as a clear #1 back. If he continues to do that with Jacobs, that's a problem.
  8. Move the ball, get great shots. Boy, any team looks great when you shot 77% from 3 in the first half!!
  9. I just saw the reported contract on Jacobs 4/$48M. At that price he is likely to be the lead back. I'm just hoping they upgrade on Dillon as I'm definitely not a fan of the Mayor of Door County
  10. Maybe my context was misleading. I love Aaron Jones as a RB. Unfortunately, despite MLF trying to protecting him to a ridiculous level IMO, he couldn't stay healthy. Josh Jacobs led the NFL in rushing two years ago and is significantly younger (especially in NFL RB years)
  11. Jacobs isn't a "big downgrade" from Jones at all. He's been more productive, healthier, and is significantly younger. He's likely to be more productive outside of the LV dumpster fire. I get the fan viewpoint reaction, but that is just not an accurate take...
  12. I agree it's a little weird it took Mason this long to land anywhere given some of the awful kicking in NFL. Although, I'm not sure why you thought Seattle would be a fit as Jason Myers is a Pro Bowl level kicker
  13. I think you might be underestimating them a little bit. UW historically gets better as the season goes on. I see them as more of a 7-10 seed come Selection Sunday
  14. I agree with a lot of your post, but completely disagree with your Yelich comments. He is one of the very best baserunners in all of MLB and definitely had a chance to reach 3rd base if that ball didn't bounce right back to Longoria. It was very aggressive baserunning that obviou;sly didn't work out. Also, he had 0% chance of catching the bloop single in G2. The infield was or else maybe Adames has a shot at that ball, but no chance for an OFer to get to it
  15. Any thoughts on the lineup tonight...I'm guessing the same as yesterday except maybe Monasterio for Turang since Freddy's an extreme K/Fly Ball guy
  16. All good, we obviously disagree on Winker, who without doubt has been bad this year. Nevertheless, I trust him more than Mitchell who has been out basically all year
  17. Unfortunately, mitchell strikes out 40% + of the time, so a good AB from him is less likely..
  18. Miller on the roster at all makes no sense to me...he's been useless since Memorial Day. Rowdy's been bad all year, but he at least has power as a PHer Winker I understand as I trust him to give a professional AB...
  19. Winker doesn't surprise me, as he is likely to give you a professional AB as a potential pinch hitter. Owen Miller, on the other hand, makes no sense to me as his magic pixie dust has been absent sine Memorial Day
  20. Brewers in 3 Phillies in 3 Rangers in 3 (This makes no sense...just a hunch as everyone loves the Rays) Jays in 3
  21. I also agree Winker could be a possibility for the last potential PH bench role
  22. I agree except both Mitchell and Perkins fill the same role IMO. I'm not 100 % sure Mitchell will be ready, but I might go with Weimer instead of a guy who basically has been out all season.
  23. Despite the vitriol he gets on this board, I'm fine with Chafin. He is an experienced reliever who has had a very solid career. In fact, it wouldn't shock me if he was on the playoff roster due to his postseason experience, and this board would likely explode.....
  24. Just to clarify, a DFA in the offseason could very well happen, just not during this month
  25. Unless Rowdy has a phantom injury and goes on the IL, I don't see a DFA in his future
