    I like Rogers at first base and always have. The Brewers thought they had so many players stacked at first that they moved Rogers to third...move him back to first. One position taken care of.

    He has stone hands catching...how is he going to play an infield position? Try him in Of first. This is just not even true. I have not seen any scouting report that even comes close to stating this. Others who have seen Coulter play will probably also state that this is false. I wasn't quoting any scouting report. I am telling you what I saw when personally watching him catch...maybe I just saw all his bad games but when you can't catch a strike...that's a problem. Maybe after trying him in the outfield, they can try him at pitcher. NOT. Please no more OF to Pitcher conversions. From what I saw of him...way too many passed balls...plus he would of had even more if not for the generosity of scorekeepers giving wild pitches to pitchers instead of passed balls to Coulter. Can he hit...YES..Is his bat going to make up for his defensive mistakes? Granted it's possible. Who's ahead of him at first and OF?

    I think dh is the only position Coulter can play unless your going to give him 5 years to learn a new one.

    My question is why pitch to Olt. The guys hits great in the minors...not so in the majors. Pitch around him and make him swing at bad pitches. He beat you once...why let it happen back to back.

    09-17...this is based on what I witnessed in person at AT&T Park in SF. They looked slow and lazy...no playoffs for this crew.

    That game actually takes place at 12:30 PM Central today. If the Maryvale boys don't win, they're not in the playoffs. This is their regular season finale. In case we're late with the new Link Report, here's Thursday's box score link. You can kiss that playoff spot goodbye...thru 3 innings 7 runs on 2 hits for AZL Dodgers...ouch! Also, currently no hits for AZL Brewers thru 6 innings.

    I don't think the organization cares as long as he puts together a playoff team. I follow them a bit and their minor league affiliates are bad...real bad.

    Pena's control is disturbing. It didn't help walking the pitcher. This guy should be in the bullpen only.

    We're only talking 2-3 weeks left in the season, and the Timber Rattlers are fighting for their own playoff spot. I doubt anyone in Appleton sees this as a slight. Every organization needs to think outside the box once in a while, and while this is way outside the box, I think it's fun and interesting. Enjoy it for what it's worth. Taylor Williams got his call up, Anthony Banda was traded - heck, if anything, the more fringe players in the system should be thankful the Brewers hardly ever dip their toes in the independent league waters anymore. We already used our one outside the box thinking for the year when we picked up Wang...Bring someone up from the Arizona League to get some innings since there is only 2 or 3 weeks left...On a lighter note...I'm available to throw a few innings at any level.

    And we had no one from the Timber Rattlers to come up? WOW, I just don't get it...please someone explain this one to me...Must be a maxed out innings thing or a friend of a friend looking for a one month job.

    I would change the blocking the plate rule to say that a runner coming home must be within sliding distance of the plate. This is based on a horrible reversal call by umps on a play at the plate in the SF game today.
