  1. King Kong on the mound pounding his chest after finishing off a complete game against the Cubs is an everlasting moment I'll have of that beast of a man. What an awesome sight that was.
  2. I hope this guy is a stud in CF for a very long time. What a trade that could turn out to being.
  3. Tate or Brinson? Sorry, if you deem two of your prospects untouchable, you don't get to choose only one of your next best prospects to put in a deal. You put in both, or you don't get Lucroy. If this is what the Rangers are doing, Stearns shouldn't budge. We shouldn't settle for a teams' third or fourth best prospect and filler for one of if not the best players on the trade block. I completely agree. If #1 & #2 are off the table we either move on or we get #3, #4 and heck, #5 if we want em.
  4. Segura settled at $2.6 million, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman. I don't think that is a horrible amount for a 25 year old, year 4 starting SS with a career .266 avg It is when his OBP is roughly the same as his average and he has zero power. Tag that with just okay defense and you get yourself wasting $2mil.
  5. My love for baseball would die enough where I'd barely follow the MLB and I don't know if I would ever attend a MLB game again. I love Brewers baseball. It is my summers.
  6. http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/27240/to-packers-rodgers-chanting-at-prep-games-is-one-of-the-fun-da-men-tals Rodgers chimes in.
  7. Just hoping Stallone can pull off the win. Genuinely a great guy and would love to hear the acceptance speech.
  8. Why did they release him?
  9. I can’t muster even that limited enthusiasm for the three pitchers acquired for Lind, though. One year of Lind brought back three soft-tossing, undersized, righthanded teenaged pitchers. Yikes. Not saying he'll be right but those are very strong opinions.
  10. Yeah I'm one of them but there just isn't a better option out there right now moving forward. Now, if a guy were to happen to come over in a trade via Lucroy, Davis, Smith, or whoever, great. But right now, Carter is a very acceptable short term first basement for the Brewers.
  11. Braun will get his. He always will. That's what hitters of his quality do. They are consistent. Carter will smoke a few balls into the seats and people will enjoy the show. Otherwise, who cares? It's a crappy team unless somehow 2-3 pitchers are diamond in the rough aces.
  12. Sometimes you just can't do anything right. Today is one of those days I guess. My apologies. Again.
  13. If we get all that for Luc I'll do cartwheels. Can't see it happening, but It'd be a great day.
  14. I'd bet my lunch money that we'll have a starter somewhere in the 3's for ERA this year. Those numbers are just too high for me.
  15. Dillon Tate would be a nice had for Lucroy.
  16. 2012- .729 OPS, 93 OPS+ 2013- .520 OPS, 42 OPS+ 2014- .707 OPS, 95 OPS+ 2015- .575 OPS, 58 OPS+ I might've over exaggerated but I was a huge fan of him and he just seems to be a let down. Seems physically gifted but also seems fat and sluggish. Looking at his stats though, the trend is every other year so maybe this will be a good one? Hopefully and then we can flip him too.
  17. From the things I've seen, Phillips is just too close to being on this team to make a trade/move like this. Giving up anything right now for a position we can fill with someone who if given a shot, could be a diamond in the rough, would not be a great move for a team not looking to compete.
  18. When I played high school hockey back in the early 2000's, our student section pulled the "Mystery Alaska" and had news papers for when the opponents were being introduced. They got to do it for one game and the next it was not appropriate. The reason I bring that up is it was almost 15 years ago now and even back then, things were being put in place to make student sections more tame.
  19. I would see if he needed an investor for sure. What an awesome way to use some of your my winnings.
  20. That's today's society in a nutshell. Wouldn't expect anything less because they are really trying to appeal to today's young generation. I can't imagine what a movie like Rocky would look like in today's world. No training montage, Rocky sitting around playing video games enjoying life, probably making millions off endorsements, and he definitely doesn't go to a scorer's decision and lose to Apollo Creed. He'd have to win or it wouldn't be a good movie. Just amazes me.
  21. Rocks are pretty tough... Honestly, haven't laughed this hard on here in awhile. Sorry superfly, just not a great example used. I think its a positive step towards sportsmanship but I can see both sides. Kids can be very weak-minded today. The littlest things bother them. Sometimes hearing the negative makes you focus and work harder. I do agree that we have to have winners and losers and that losers should realize that they they did lose and take steps to work harder and do better the next time. That's how winning is eventually achieved.
  22. I hope you are right only for the fact that someone needs to push that guy. I think part of the reason for his struggles is the fact that he is out of shape. If he didn't have a gun for an arm, he wouldn't have sniffed the majors.
  23. Maybe we target a SS that projects to move to 3B in the future?
  24. The DBacks make perfect sense with Greinke being there for the long haul. He worked with him in the past and brings another bat to their lineup. Who could we land from them? Going through their prospects there's not much for the pickings.
  25. Sure, maybe if it was the Brewers that did the offense I'd believe this but the Cardinals? They will probably win it next season somehow.
