  1. "He said something fell and he wheeled around and hurt his neck." I think that happens more often than you think to normal people everyday. I can think back of many times when I've been sitting doing something and something startles me enough to make me swing my head around rather quickly and TWINGE! goes the neck for a few days.
  2. well, Wednesday was pretty low, so here's to regaining focus and momentum and playing some good ball for the next week to ten days (or longer).
  3. Okay, this really will sound weird, but even though I love the Simpsons, I have hardly ever watched it. In fact, I'd say I've watched about 4-5 episodes--ever. That said, I'd like to at least contribute something, so . . . . Homer: D'oh! Marge: [grumbling sound] Maggie: [sucking sound]
  4. "Atleast we are not the Dodgers. They have been shut out in consecutive games in Cincinatti and are falling out of the race in the West." Didn't they also get shutout twice by the D-Backs last week? Ouch! And we complain about our offense sometimes.
  5. I guess I now know how a Cardinal-fan buddy of mine felt last year. And look what happened to them!
  6. I kinda feel bad for the Brewer fans that actually attended this series in Denver. And it sounded like alot of them were there while watching games on TV Monday & Tuesday. I really can't say for sure about Wednesday, since there was absolutely nothing worth cheering for.
  7. I don't get that shirt. Is the zipper really only about 4 inches long and just flops around below that for six inches? If so, that shirt is designed not for "women" but for "women that are attractive. Women with excess baggage on their belly need not apply." Also, on the first Milano picture in the thread, is her belly button that bad of a butcher job? Or is there a belly-ring in there or something. It looks horrible if it is her natural belly button.
  8. when are the animal rights people going to come out regarding the inhumane treatment of the snake? couldn't they have called a snake handler or something instead of a police officer shooting it?
  9. phatmatt is correct. That is a wonderful picture. The kind of thing you'd take with your buddies and girl friend (not girlfriend) on the last day of college or something.
  10. yep, the Brewers will go deep tonight . . . . .deep into the heart of Texas. Game is this afternoon is it not? So, I'd rather they go deep this afternoon.
  11. boy, razzzor . . . . first of all 4 GUYS on your list (the majority have been women so far). Second, I have no idea who any of those four guys are. Gonna have to google 'em and find out, I guess.
  12. Come on, how did he miss the snake. I mean, cops train for hours at the shooting range. I've seen it on TV.
  13. A lot of the pain, arguing, and locking of threads due to duplicates are not helped by the Brewers playing just horrible again.
  14. AUGH! My ear's hurt bad! Ann Carroll's back on the air Turn off the tube NOW! Seriously, I thought she was gone! My ears are practically bleeding, thanks to my stabbing q-tips in there to stop having to listen to her.

Gonzo had some good years but Byrnes hasn't been a sham either. His 2004 season looks pretty darn good so this year is not some "career year". He's always had talent but some pesky injuries (2005 season) have kept him from having completely consistent "career year" numbers every year. I still agree that he's going to be overpaid, but don't say he doesn't deserve it due to a "career year." And even if it was a "career year" and he's being paid for it, well, that's the way baseball economics seem to work--play hard and put up good numbers equals pay raise. Exhibit B: Bill Hall.
  16. Since it's not official, I will post non-haiku (hate it to begin with) and say that I'm looking forward to watching again in hopes that we will start a run of 5-6 games without a loss. The Rockies can get hot after we leave for all I care.
  17. yeah, but I saw the Brewers version on Saturday also. Down here in AZ. So, I think they are national commercials. I've also seen Red Sox, Tigers, Indians, and Yankees.
  18. "what does Prince say after Cecil says, 'to McDonald's'?" I think he says, "Sorry I struck you out," or something in that vein.
  19. Yeah, I had heard that Byrnes and his agent had said publicly that they were done talking until the off-season. Guess not. Bad deal, but the fans love him like they loved Gonzo.
  20. patrickgp, I didn't realize you were OCC! Cool!
  21. Today my wife and I went to run some errands, including dropping off some bills in the various drop boxes around town. After we arrive at our final stop, however, we get in line behind two vehicles and wait. And wait. And wait. Finally, the woman in the front vehicle leans out the car and drops her bill into the box--with pen in hand. So, obviously, she was writing out her bills when she got to the front of the line. What's more, she drove away but did a u-turn and got back in line behind the now 4 cars in line. Apparently, she had more bills to write out. C'mon people. Do the actual writing of checks at home if you're going to use the drop box. Making people wait 10-20 times as long as they should at a drop box bugs me alot.
  22. "but the site doesn't appear to give you any indication that there are messages in your inbox" Yeah, I'd have to agree with that. I liked how the old site had it right on top of the forums and it was pretty obvious when you had a message. Maybe I'm just missing something on this Yuku thing.
  23. Is your current username a part of your real name? If so, then maybe. But why would those kids in Phoenix care that you're on a Brewer's site--especially if there is nothing bad about your involvement with this site?
  24. I half expected the new post on this topic to say Miller was pulling the plug on the product. I actually like it for a refreshing change of pace on a hot AZ day.
  25. I actually find that user name funny. Sorta. Just because I heard guys in college calling each other that name in a joking-around manner with their buddies. But at the same time, I can very much see clearly how the mods were just going with the cautious angle on it. Perhaps they needed to contact you BEFORE they pulled it? Or did they? The above posts aren't too clear. Anyways, watch out that you don't go overboard on Jew issues anymore or you could get banned. We get it--it's a user name you use all over the net. BTW, welcome to the boards! I've already noticed some pretty decent and well thought out posts by you!
