  1. You know something we don't?
  2. AL Central, he's only been with the Tigers. D'oh! I'm dumb, and apparently still living in 1993. Still solid addition to replace Claudio.
  3. AL Central, he's only been with the Tigers.
  4. Must feel pretty good about recovery from his 2020 TJ surgery then.
  5. 2/$32 mil too much for Turner? If we land Turner, I will totally get over it if Vogelbach is our 1B. Cain Yelich Turner Hiura Vogelbach Garcia Narvaez Urias Yep Im good!
  6. Braun and Yelich were extensions... Grandal is the only FA close to $20 mil.
  7. 2020 - Extends Yelich for 7 yrs, $188.5M 2019 - Signs Grandal for $18.25M (w/ buyout) 2018 - Signs Cain for 5 yrs, $80M 2011 - Extends Braun for 5 yrs, $105M Also, I'm not sure you should be happy if they paid $18-20M for a player like Semien of Turner right now... I will gladly take Justin Turner on this team... Have you seen the things we've trotted out to 3B recently? Cain Yelich Turner Hiura Yep I'm good with that.
  8. Since we probably won't be able to get Binelas... OMG yes I want House. A high school shortstop, House is a fringy to average runner who almost certainly will move to third base in pro ball. The Tennessee recruit should be at least a solid defender at the hot corner and possesses a plus arm that can pump fastballs up to 96 mph off the mound. Scouts compare him to a more athletic version of Joey Gallo or 2018 Cardinals first-rounder Nolan Gorman.
  9. The problem is 10 million per season in today's MLB isn't that much. Role players like Avisail Garcia, James McCann, and back of the rotation starters like Drew Smyly are now getting ten million per year. Thank you! When we shell out $18-$20 mil a season for player like Semien or Turner, then we'll talk about Mark not being cheap... We can be interested in these big FAs all we want, until we hand out that kind of money to a FA then I'll continue to say that.
  10. Seriously? The ink is barely dry on Yelich's $215 million extension. Yep, what big time additions has he signed off on in the last 2 years? Yelich can't do this alone. If he shells out the money for Turner, I'll shut up.
  11. Haha good one. Unless they have basically just given carte blanche to agents to include them in rumors whether there is any truth to them or not, it is clear they do have a bigger offer in them given that they have now been linked to at least three guys with whom a $5 million offer gets you a laugh and a hang-up. Whether the money they are offering will be enough to actually land one of these guys is very much in question, but there is too much smoke for the idea of a $10-$15 million one year offer to be laughable. All these empty news stories prove nothing at all. If you believe that the Brewers are actually prepared to pay one of these guys, then good for you. MA’s idea of value is to get a difference maker at a 7-figure salary, and that is extremely unlikely. So best case, the jury is still out on this owner and his commitment to winning (although some would say that last year’s off-season gave us all the evidence we needed).
  12. Haha good one. Why is that “funny” to you? Because it isnt gonna happen.
  13. Oh for Pete’s sake. La Stella is no world beater but he would have been a really nice addition to our lineup and would have filled a position of need. We’re gonna mess around waiting for a bargain deal and end up with nobody. Sure is looking that way.
  14. I get the sense the Brewers might have one big 1-2 year offer in them this offseason. Haha good one.
  15. Gonna miss out on LaStella as well, he’s going to Giants. My god this offseason is getting worse by the hour. NL Central is right there but nope we cant make any moves to improve this team.
  16. Cant wait to be disappointed when we dont land Turner either. God this sucks.
  17. Official now, says Heyman. Was really hoping for him! Highly unlikely we get Turner either, great back to disappointment.
  18. Damnit, not sure how legit but seeing on Twitter, Semien to Toronto... 1 yr, $18 mil.
  19. Damn, I would love him on a 1 or 2 yr deal!
  20. Hmmm, his 2015-2019 WAR say otherwise. Other than 2019 his WAR has been completely predicated on his defense. That is his only year where he was above average offensively so no way am I paying full sticker price for a defense only player. What's the league average for WAR then? I would think it's way below what he put up those years.
  21. Hmmm, his 2015-2019 WAR say otherwise.
  22. 5 yrs, $115.5 mil.
  23. I can totally see Marcus being the guy Mark was talking with. God, I hope this happens. Cain Semien Yelich Hiura I like that!
  24. I hate to get my hopes up for Semien, because I feel like as soon as I do we'll hear that he's signing with the Twins. But, I agree - this make a lot of sense on so many levels, assuming he's OK playing 3B. Like RRB said tho, where would he play? They have 3B and SS taken. Unless Donaldson to DH? Idk.
  25. Why can't we be like the deferral kings, the Nationals and defer a ton of money to later years to sign Didi or Semien? I would love to add either to play 3B... Then just go with Vogelbach at 1B, I don't even care anymore. No idea if Didi would move to 3rd tho.
