    Jadyn Fielder and Kevin Ereu must strike intimidating poses in the box or something, oh for oh with six walks combined today. Two more BBs from the pair, plus a Frederi Montero single and wild pitch have us in the Dolly Zone, 9 to 5.

    After a rough third inning, then sitting for another eight batters & a pitching change in the bottom half…Dorchies responds with his third 1-2-3 frame of the game in the top of the fourth.

    With two down in the third Quintana singled & stole second, Quero walked and Handelfry singled to make it 8-5. Two on for Ortuno and we’ve got a mound visit.

    Fielder & Ereu walks and a pair of errors have the AZ Brewers back on top 6-5 bottom three. & a wild pitch makes it a 7-5 lead. This is some real On The Complex baseball tonight.

    That Kevin Ereu has walked nine times in 50 PAs when he only has three singles in those same 50 PAs really speaks to the level of command on the complex.

    After sitting around around for two walks, three singles, a wild pitch, a stolen bag, an error, five runs, a pitching change, a balk and another wild pitch…Dorchies runs into trouble in the third. Single, double, single, single (two runs) to open the inning. Mound visit and he goes fly out, and a pair of E4 as two more runs cross the plate. Another single and now it’s tied at five.

    Quintana singles home a third run then steals a bag to make it 2nd/3rd no outs. Quero strikes out and Handelfry pops out, but Ortuno comes through with the two RBI single, 5-0 Brewers.

    Don’t believe so. Occasionally they’ll play at a stadium with the full StatCast array and get pitch types, velocities, exit velo, etc. Think pitch locations are accurate for those games, but the rest of the games they aren’t really trustworthy.

    & Paulino singles to load the bases, setting the stage for an E5 off the bat of Holguin, 2-0 lead for the crew still nobody out for Quintana.

    Quero singled and Ortuno walked to get a little traffic for the Zona Crew in the first but nothing more came of it. Dorchies posted another three up three down in the second, two more fly outs and a grounder to first. Fielder leads off the second with a walk and goes to second on a wild pitch with Ereu back filling first in a walk of his own.

    Brewers only had a one run lead and Patrick has been getting killed third time through the lineup... Patrick 1st time (89 PA) 256/348/308 Patrick 2nd time (90 PA) 229/258/325 Patrick 3rd time (36 PA) 303/361/576 Hall was specifically called up as a fresh arm to cover multiple innings for an overworked pen.

    From 2020-24 among 212 hitters with at least 400 PA against LHP, William Contreras tied for 3rd with a 165 wRC+ over 501 PAs. Only Judge (189) & Goldschmidt (179) were better and the other two at a 165 wRC+ were Ketel Marte and Yordan Alvarez. This year among 180 hitters with at least 40 PA against LHP, William Contreras ranked 160th with a 34 wRC+ over 64 PAs entering today's game.

    If you think the Brewers have been a wet fart this year, get a load of the Red Sox. $211M payroll, Big Trade for Garrett Crochet, Big Free Agent Alex Bregman, three Top Ten prospects (Campbell, Mayer, Anthony), lotsa preseason hype to be the AL rep in the World Series…currently sitting at 27 W - 28 L.

    Today was Chourio’s 18th game batting leadoff with 12 of those games (including today) against a lefty SP. Entering today Chourio had a 143 wRC+ in 66 PA vs LHP. Who would you bat leadoff vs LHP?

    Biloxi comes back with a five run inning to tie things up at six each in the sixth. Adams HBP, Lara & Boeve walks, Wilken lineout/E5 to score the first run, Miller RBI ground rule double, Spain 2-RBI ground rule double, Vargas single and a Restituyo E6 to score the last run.

    Coleman Crow had a rough first inning giving up three runs, but Biloxi is fighting back in the second with Brock Wilken & Zavier Warren singles plus a Darrien Miller walk loading the bases up with no outs for Garrett Spain who responded with an RBI single to get the Shuckers on the board. Bases still loaded with nobody out for Jheremy Varga who lines into an unassisted double play taking out the runner at third. Will be up to Bladimir Restituyo now.

    Easton McGee gave up a solo shot in the first, but NASH answered back with an Adam Hall single, Oliver Dunn single, EMJ double, and Anthony Seigler sac fly to take a 2-1 lead into the second.
