  1. We can probably skip anyone’s start at this point and set our rotation how we want? The probability of Phillies going 1-5 against Cubs and Nats seems slim.
  2. If our games don’t figure into the postseason standings, do we skip any games?
  3. Could the Cubs sweep the Phillies and we sweep Pittsburgh?
  4. Hard to blame the team for the last three games. Arizona had everything to play for and we essentially have very little to play for this week. It’d be great to get a bye but that seemed like a remote chance.
  5. It seems very “un-Murphy” to do something different in the postseason compared to the regular season.
  6. At this point, we should absolutely pick up one year option, right?
  7. Alabama should cover the spread today, easily.
  8. Peralta gets the ball in game one because he is our brand name starter. I don’t think Myers has played himself into a demotion for the postseason rotation. Rea’s last four starts are not what we would want in October. Plus, the Dodgers hit him very hard in August. Civale and Montas improved enough to possibly overtake Rea. DL Hall has been terrific since returning. How much overt piggybacking can we plan on in October?
  9. George Webb predicts the Brewers will score five or more runs and win 12 straight games
  10. Couldn’t happen to a better person
  11. Ortiz or Turang will slide over to SS. We wil need a SS or 3B next year. I don’t think Monasterio or Black is a starter at those positions. There are some affordable infielder free agents, I think.
  12. Phillies trailing 7-2, bottom of 8th. Dodgers play at Arizona against Gallen
  13. Corbin Burnes last two starts: 10.2 IP, 13 H, 6 ER, 6 K, 2 BB 7.36 ERA in August with 1.60 WHIP
  14. Was hoping for big performance from Burnes against LAD tonight. Allowed 2 HR and trailing 6-4, though. Three errors committed by BAL though.
  15. Sort of expected Hoskins to be above replacement level this season. -0.3 WAR is jarring
  16. It’s always the middle reliever transactions that give us the most grief 🙂
  17. Burnes has 5.75 ERA over last seven starts. Season ERA: 3.28 https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/orioles-mlb/orioles-astros-corbin-burnes-haircut-TKPL6C2ZZFHYHJQHLXH7AIFYZM/
  18. I appreciate Power Rankings don’t matter. Still, how does Milwaukee rank behind Cleveland this weekend? MLB.com
  19. Makes sense. He was effective enough over 6 IP. Can’t complain.
  20. Noticed only 3 K for Freddy tonight. Are there any peripheral indicators we should be concerned about? Seems like he normally is good for a strikeout per inning.
