  1. I’m hoping Reillymcshane has a player retrospective or two in the cannon for us...
  2. Heyman was saying that he only wanted to play in NY, specifically the Mets. Players gotta want to play for Milwaukee which isn’t always the case. Yes that is indeed a fact.
  3. I’m not one to lament not getting a player, but I was really hoping Stearns could get him to sign with Milwaukee.
  4. Yeah at least when it went downhill for McGehee he wasn’t all that terrible so much as he had about the most snakebitten season I’ve ever seen. Shaw on the other hand was lost and you could see the lack of confidence in his swings, body language and face. He looked like he didn’t even want to bat because he knew he wouldn’t be successful.
  5. UuhhhWOOOO! Take that, horn.
  6. I've been tuning that stupid thing out for 25 years. I wouldn’t necessarily mind urinating into that horn.
  7. Yeah I’m glad they’re not down more given the turnovers. But that was a stupid half of football.
  8. Rodgers needed to loft it like what cousins just did. Hopefully Aaron gets it together because his last 3 passes have been poor.
  9. Looked like a terrible pass to me.
  10. Well now I feel terrible for poor Hernan. Plus, I am not looking forward to having to root against the guy.
  11. Yeah I think 1/$10m puts him right in our wheelhouse. If he would sign with Milwaukee for that price, that could be a ridiculously good signing.
  12. Wow, Alex Gonzalez. I had managed to completely forget about him.
  13. In 2012 we gave 34 year old Aramis 4/46 and he held up pretty well. In 2019, what will it cost to sign Donaldson? If it were something like 4/90, I'd be ok with it if DS decided that was something he wanted to do.
  14. Personally I’ve always enjoyed expanded rosters. I liked seeing guys who had a nice season getting rewarded with a big league call up, and it’s fun to get that first look at how they handle the majors. To me the games are even more entertaining seeing the manager get to pull out all the stops with matchups, defensive replacements, and pinch runners. I do realize that most fans probably feel differently.
  15. I swear half the time it sounds like the announcers say Jared Golf. Maybe it’s just me, though. In the early 2000s I had a boss who never pronounced the L when saying he was going golfing.
  16. I go back and forth in how I feel about a hypothetical Donaldson signing. I’d be pretty pumped for 2020 even though the back end of the contract could be scary.
  17. The winters here have gotten much milder over the past 6 years or so. Now Wisconsin generally seems to get more snow and cold than we do.
  18. Minor league deal, sure I guess. He looked washed up to me but once in a while a guy will surprise you with a resurgence.
  19. For me it's not a matter of the years or price, I simply would not have wanted Roark for any price.
  20. You hit the nail on the head. The Brewers in regards to pitching sign guys that would normally be back end of rotation guys and make them amongst their top starters. NOT a sustainable strategy. In the entire HISTORY of the Milwaukee Brewers organization... please tell me one time that we've signed a free agent TOR guy. Never? Never! So why is it going to happen now that we have the most value minded GM we've ever had? 12/5/1990 Teddy Higuera
  21. How about if they have a terrible month and go 0-4 and in doing so top your entire lifetime salary?
  22. Ask Bauer about the Houston spin rate spikes. Given that they turned out to be trash can thumpers, I don’t doubt that they sought other advantages as well.
  23. Agreed with adam and brewmann. I'd be very unhappy about a madbum signing. I cannot imagine him living up to whatever contract he gets.
  24. We hated it but that doesn't mean there needs to be a rule about it. I'm going to hate this rule even more after we blow a 1 run lead because somebody didn't have it, walked the first 2 batters but we can't pull him. Yes I do realize that it can work both ways. Nevertheless, I think people are going to get really sick of it really fast.
  25. Agreed the 3 batter rule is stupid. Is there a minimum length of time a newly implemented rule has to stay in place? Otherwise I would predict this to be a one year wonder.
