Range Factor/9 innings: Braun: 2.11 (Dead last in MLB... by a ton) Hardy: 4.00 (Dead last in MLB) Weeks: 4.74 (19th out of 24 who qualified) Fielder: 8.49 (Dead last in MLB) In actuality, the Brewers infield defense has terribly poor range. -
I think everyone's number one has to be Prince emerging as an all-out superstar. After that, for me it's Weeks' power reappearing. It seems like he'll still has a chance to reach that great offensive ceiling after all.

I'm not sure what it usually means, but I'm hoping in this case it means someone who can carry at least a .350 OBP.

One great part that I didn't notice the first time: Michael is talking about the pictures he has up and says "I was going to put new pictures up, but the printer was all out of ink." What would make you guys feel worse: Winning the next two as the Cubs drop the next two, allowing the Brewers to finish one game back; or losing the next two games and finishing .500? I can't really decide. -

The Brewers really can't afford an $80 million payroll. I don't think much will be done in free agency. Probably a couple trades though.

Overall I think he's really pretty good. He's not hilarious and he doesn't have a great home run call, but at the same time he doesn't try to force either of those things--which can be worse than nothing at all.

Before the weekend series I probably would have said 85. Seeing how the Cubs have won 4 of their last five since then, I think it will take 86. The odds of that are pretty low probably.

Suppan hasn't underperformed at all this season, really. He hasn't really even pitched worse this season than in his recent past; the Brewers' atrocious defense just hurt his ERA. -
I can't believe I found this thread halfway down the page. I can't remember wanting to vent more. The Brewers were three outs from a tie for first and basically a 50-50 shot at the division. Instead David Weathers walks a terrible hitter to lead off the inning. Now it's probably a 30% shot. LAME!!
