  1. The best I saw was Jesus from The Big Lebowski. It was homemade. Purple shows, purple bowling ball, everything. It was perfect, and I was jealous.
  2. I still really like it. When I said it reminded me of A.D., I didn't mean it was on the same level. I'm just enjoying it as much as any show I've watched since A.D. went off the air. I loved the "I've got priors!" comment also.
  3. Each time I've gone to a Bucks game the last few years I've cringed about eight times. The in-game promotions, announcing, etc. is stupid and awkward. Their marketing department or whatever is responsible does not impress me. "Work Hard. Play Hard." Really? Another slogan? Why do teams feel they need slogans?
  4. If they let Looper go and sign Washburn to the same deal they gave Looper, fine. Otherwise not very interested. Please let Looper go regardless.
  5. This reminds me some of Arrested Development. Funny show about a dysfuncitional-type family but the content really pushes the envelope. I love it so far.
  6. We should probably stop talking about this. I'm finding it difficult not to feel giddy at the thought of this, and we're probably just setting ourselves up for disappointment.
  7. I wouldn't worry about that. Earl Weaver wouldn't have success in Houston.
  8. Jack Wilson is probably the best defensive shortstop in the game. Playing either Wilson or Hardy at third would be a waste, as they'd surely get better value back in a trade.
  9. Since Macha is coming back, there's no reason to believe the Brewers will use Mat Gamel. Gamel for Bailey would be a pretty good deal in my eyes. Bailey really has turned a corner. I've seen a couple of his recent starts and he looked good. The numbers back that up.
  10. Heh. I was watching an Arizona game the other day and when Mark Reynolds came to the plate they inevitably showed the NL strikeout leaders. I thought to myself, 'is that a list of strikeout leaders or just a list of good players?'
  11. I agree with the notion that they'd find ABs for Lopez and that he'd be worth bringing back, but I don't want any part of Braun to right field. Let him become competent in left field first. Braun is one of the left fielders in the league, so I don't want to move him to a more difficult position.
  12. How did Hoffman prevent the Brewers from acquiring 185.2 innings of 3.73 ERA pitcher? The Brewers are trying to win again next year. Letting go of their best reliever who was very fairly paid isn't a good idea. As has been mentioned, there are better ways to save money.
  13. Terry Ryan wasn't GM, but I'm almost certain he was in an advisory role with the team when they were made.
  14. I also have to say the Twins. They really screwed up their recent trades though. Garza/Bartlett for Young/Harris was an abomination, and trading Santana for a bag of crap was just as bad.
  15. Creed continues to have the best lines this season. "Yeah, that makes more sense."
  16. Of course it was choreographed. What's the big deal? People are acting like the Brewers took so much time to plan this. Could it have even taken more than 30 seconds to organize? "Hey guys... the next time someone hits a walk-off home run, he'll jump on home plate and everyone else will fall to the ground." Done. Choreography complete.
  17. That's going to be one crazy town if St. Louis wins the World Series. Thousands of handshakes, half-smiles and "well dones." I bet they might even play some music in the stadium.
  18. Not only is it crazy to suggest that the Brewers will/should bring back Looper, but I think it's equally crazy to suggest that Looper would turn down a 6 mil player option.
  19. Even 8 mil for Cameron would be great. I'd guess it's around ten again. How do you ask a guy coming off a very good year to take a 20% or more pay cut?
  20. Heh, good point. Definitely both.
  21. I disagree strongly. There was no decision to make; Hardy was the shortstop this year. Escobar wasn't ready this season. Using him was not an option. The decision that needs to be made is for next season.
  22. Eh, the fact that Cameron is only a type B is reason number 134430 why the free agent ranking system is flawed. I'd still like to see Cameron in center next year, so I'm glad nothing happened. The Cards paid Pujols a bunch of money last year and they didn't win. Not sure what that proves.
  23. TH says the Brewers are unlikely to offer arbitration. I don't understand why that is. I'll be ticked off if the return they get is less than the value of Type A compensation, especially since I'd be happy to see Cameron back next year.
  24. Sorry--pleased about holding out Gallardo.
