  1. Once you accept the fact that playing first base for Milwaukee is like being the drummer for Spinal Tap, you understand things a lot better. https://zeroenthusiasm.tumblr.com/post/47032679583/list-of-spinal-tap-drummers-all-deceased
  2. Hey opponents, quit hitting it at Perkins. You will lose that battle.
  3. With the huge foul territory in Oakland, and the last couple of home games, it seems as if Ortiz has had to run a long way for some foul popups lately.
  4. Plenty of others who had the Brewers not doing so well this year. Fully half of the people posting in the win total prediction thread had them at 81 or fewer. That includes Vegas. Only one person had them at 90 (This guy!!!). Well, except for Homer, who predicted a win total of 162. And torts sat out the prediction thread for some reason, so the most optimistic fan out of all of us didn't document his optimism in this case.
  5. Papa Joe’s is still around? Much time spent there when I went to UWSP. Bar of the game.
  6. I don't think he was asking, he was challenging my assertion that the Brewers need to scratch and claw to score.
  7. Yup. Last night notwithstanding. The Giants had three men LOB all night, the Brewers 11. The Giants were tremendously more efficient. Brewers first inning: Reached on error, stolen base, 15-pitch walk, fielder's choice, fielder's choice. Stretched Webb out for 30 pitches. 0 runs. Brewers saw 52 more pitches, and to what end?
  8. And, if you need a toilet, Wrigley field is right there.
  9. Was at the game, didn't read this thread. Such a frustrating game. To score a run, the Brewers seemingly need to string together two hits, a walk, a fielder's choice, stolen base, sacrifice fly, wild pitch and contact play. Then the opponent ties it up with one pitch. Three homers and a Perkins robbery of a fourth for SF. Levering was on the Czaban show just now and was saying that the ball was really jumping last night. Why not for the Brewers? I mean Churio's was a bomb that I was thrilled to see in person, but man that game made me crabby. And, on the way home a semi literally lost a tire in front of me on the interstate and I hit it, which messed up my car. Also why I'm crabby. Very lucky, but crabby. That could have gone down a bunch of different ways. I didn't see it in time, so I didn't swerve, or brake, but drove right over it, which probably was best. Slow reflexes for the win.
  10. I did. Kudos. My comment was a rip off of the Simpsons.
  11. By the way, rhyming Web with Webb? *Chef's kiss*
  12. Them facts are gonna make Treego's poem a lot tougher to write.
  13. So you're saying they suck. Great. Thanks for the answer.
  14. @nate82 I don't understand your previous post. What expected win-loss record are they behind? Didn't most projections have them significantly below where they are? Or are you referring to something else? Thanks.
  15. Same with the Nats in 19. I was just fine with the Brewers playing them. Until I wasn't. Man, that game slipped away quickly.
  16. Would be nice if you could get at least one out in the first 20 pitches of an inning
  17. Ortiz has made three good plays today
  18. Phillies are following the Eagles’ formula from last season.
  19. You and your technical mumbo jumbo
  20. Please explain the crew chief review to me
  21. Didn’t notice the date; this thread was at the top of the feed. Not chasing you in particular. More just complaining about Burnes’ start in the playoffs last year. Needed him to pitch like an ace, and he didn’t. Still ticks me off. Onward.
  22. Would it hurt more than giving up three homers in four innings after getting staked to a 3-0 lead? Cuz that hurt.
