  1. This is fine. Name me one example of a Brewer player having a broken middle finger that lingered through the season. Where's that "Are the Brewers Lucky" thread again?
  2. Update: I called again, and they are canceling my current subscription and refunding me the $149 so I can buy the $199 package. She said, "we've refunded your money, you should call your credit card company if you are not seeing it." I checked my card, no activity. Then I got an email confirming the refund from MLB. It was time stamped. The refund was granted during my phone call. Gee, no wonder my CC company hadn't gotten the refund yet. I'd kind of like that confirmation before I spend another $200. Bottom line, I got what I wanted. Go Brewers!
  3. PCA will probably be pretty good. Edit: I see @sveumrulesposted the exact same thing, only with more words. Tomato, tomahto. I kid, of course. sveumrules is a gem.
  4. Hey Yahoo, and everyone else, can we stop with "cold corner" as a term? It's stupid. According to the Google, it started gaining use in 2012. I hadn't heard it until this winter. It doesn't describe first base at all. The only reason that first base isn't the hot corner is that there are fewer LH hitters. There is more action at first base in every single game than at second and third combined. Grumble grumble. Fight me.
  5. Here is my situation. I have subscribed to MLB.tv for several years now. The renewal happens in February. My $149 renewal went through. They want $99 for the Brewers now. I called and asked to get the $199 bundle (MLB and Brewers) and save the extra $50 that it would cost to add the Brewers (MLB $149 and Brewers $99). They created a case, as the phone support reps say that they cannot approve that. I have gotten no response, except for an email that said my ticket would be closed automatically within 24 hours.
  6. I think if the Brewers were lucky, they wouldn't have lost Yelich (x2), Devin Williams, and Woodruff (x2) late in the season.
  7. I was a big baby about this loss. Didn't log on to this thread til this morning. I had the same discussion with a friend where he outlined why the Badgers have lost in the tourney with a lot of the same talking points this thread has provided. Iowa just beat a one-seed with Stirtz going 0-9 from three, so it's possible to get it done without a great game from your players. I am really tired of talking about under-seeded opponents. Okay, if High Point was under-seeded, how much under-seeded? Should they have been a 10? an 8? Didn't the Badgers go 6-3 against Sweet 16 teams, including beating a 1, a 2, and two of the three seeds? When the only proof that a team is under-seeded is that they beat UW, that's just proof after the fact. Maybe the Badgers should get a 13 or 14-seed so they can play teams they can beat in the first round. They have had their season ended by a lower seed every seasons but one since 2019 (Baylor, 2021). The only one of those lower seeds that won their next game was when number 12 Oregon beat number 13 UCI in the next round. Tournament performance has been a real blemish on Gard and the UW.
  8. That was the same rationale people provided for the Badgers making a run. Didn't work out that way.
  9. 91-71. Should win the division, but definitely be good enough for a WC if not.
  10. That was a point you were trying to make. Why should I do it for you? I assumed you were too exhausted to make it, or you wouldn't have asked me to do it for you in the first place. Now I have the knowledge, and I see your point.
  11. That sounds like a lot of work. can you do it for me?
  12. What I like about this is that I can criticize Gute from all angles. One, tying as the youngest team with the Jets is not good company. Two, Seahawks prove you can win with a young team, so youth isn't an excuse.
  13. I have no evidence to back it up, but I think that we will see fewer upsets in general. Mid-major teams, that in the past would have a team of 3 and 4-year players, are being picked apart. Imagine Steph Curry today. Would he stay at Davidson for three years? He scored 21 pts per game as a freshman! He wouldn't have been around for that sophomore year where he torched Gonzaga, Georgetown, Wisconsin and Kansas for 128 points in four games.
  14. Please accept my apology for posting a picture of you without your knowledge. I know my daughters want right of approval for all pictures before they are posted on social media. I just hope this isn't a "CEO caught cheating on a Kiss Cam" moment for you. And how could you take the heat sitting there? I think the brown patches seen on the berm are from other fans melting on the spot.
  15. Another perfect day! Play ball!
  16. I will be at the game tonight. Can't wait!
  17. I don't generally feel bad for the Raiders, but they are really in a corner. Committed to a bunch of free agents in the interim. Maybe they shouldn't have moved, but it sure seems like the Ravens aren't being honest.
  18. Oh my, he hit that a mile. Apparently no unwritten rules to worry about because he stayed in the batter’s box a long, long time. Did a little salute as he headed out. I like Cruz. Maybe not on my team, but dang, his highs are HIGH.
