  1. Can I derail to say how pissed I am that Texas folded and let the Astros have the division? Houston was two games from missing the playoffs, instead they are the 2 seed and get a week off. I hate them.
  2. Hey man, they are just being REALISTIC.
  3. There are some hideous numbers in that. Thanks for compiling. I think the key to big contracts is to only sign players who won't suck in the future. Subscribe to my newsletter for more content like this.
  4. And to add to that, I think we are seriously overplaying the hometown angle as fans. Counsell didn't get to where he is without being incredibly competitive. I am sure the tug of family competing with the pull of a new challenge are a difficult consideration for CC. His calm demeanor doesn't fool me for a minute. The guy is wired to try and win.
  5. "Cobbled together" rotation, roster "about to nosedive." Come on guys, in 2019 the Brewers won 89 games with a rotation that had Chase Anderson, Zach Davies, Jhoulys Chacin, Adrian Houser, Gio Gonzalez, and Brandon Woodruff making 134 starts. That's cobbled together. Burnes had his well-known 8.82 ERA, and Peralta was just coming on. You're telling me that if they have Peralta, Ashby, Houser, maybe Miley, and a FA that you wouldn't believe they could compete? They still have Yelich, Frelick, Mitchell, Turang, Taylor, Monasterio, Weimer, Chourio, Black, Misiorowski and other promising young players. I choose to have hope. Certainly doesn't seem like a nosedive to me.
  6. I am officially done worrying about the Cardinals.
  7. That's exactly how I feel when I haven't been able to follow the game, and go to check the score. As long as I don't look, they could have won. But as soon as I open that browser...
  8. MLB Radio on Sirius last night said they think it is Schumacher’s award. They said Lovullo is next, with “a nod” to the job CC has done. Oh well.
  9. Yet our own fans keep the myth alive. Makes me crazy.
  10. Donaldson is turning back into a pumpkin. 2 for 22 with 10 Ks.
  11. Boy, that’s an extremely negative take.
  12. Damn it, Craig. Finish them so you don’t have to manage extra innings.
  13. Hate to see Machado and company miss the playoffs. Such a likeable group of team players
  14. So did Frelick. He had a tough time finding that one
  15. Willy sure likes him some sliders out of the zone
  16. Cubs have butterfingers tonight. That’s three balls they bobbled
  17. Santana busting out of the box. Way to go, big guy!
  18. Thank you. That would be great. Any indication who would be #6? Can you tell me where you got that so I don't have to bother you?
  19. Okay, so let's say D-backs get swept by Houston, Marlins take two in PGH (and finish off the Mets), Cubs go 2-1, and the Reds go to STL and sweep the Cards. COULD HAPPEN! Four teams at 84-78. Two wild card spots. Love it. All of them using their starters and bullpen till the last day. The only thing better would be if the Cubs were 1-2 and missed out completely. Someone smarter than me (or someone with better Google skills), tell me, which two teams get in if it goes down like this? Thanks.
  20. And now they have to go to Pittsburgh, the rainout champion of the world.
  21. Cubs and Marlins tied. Cubs would be out due to tiebreakers.
  22. The third wild card is proving to be a hot potato
