Things have definitely changed on the remote work side, companies still fighting it are losing out on top talent. I had gotten myself to full time remote then took some time off but went back to same company, new manager insisted I come in at least a couple of days a week and had a real problem with remote workers. Then Covid came and they found productivity increased with workers at home so now we are fully hybrid and no one is required to come in except new hires in entry positions. Interviews are exhausting, they don't really stress me out any more but I went through a process late last year and had 4 separate interviews, it got sort of annoying in the end. Then I turned it down because of the remote work thing, that is tough to let go of. It literally turns what used to be a 10 hour work day(commute, getting up, getting ready etc) into 8 hours. Not to mention I can just take a nap over lunch break if tired which gets rid of the lazy food coma afternoons I have had most of my life in the office.

Buy one of those TV dinners...it tastes pretty close even getting the soggy and chewy texture. What TV dinners are you talking about? I see someone said totinos below but I have had their pizza rolls and it's hard to believe it's not garbage. I loved school cafeteria pizza and can still remember the taste but never found anything like it. Pizza Villa in West Salem was a recent discovery I had, awesome crust although I would recommend extra cheese.

I feel like maybe the golden age of TV ended with GoT. Maybe it's just TV burnout from too much time at home during Covid but I struggle to find any shows worthy of binge watching anymore. I probably have about 6 shows I am in the middle of but I still turn on the TV and can't find anything I want to watch. Was just looking at the Emmy's from last year and maybe Succession is something I should pick up again but like so many other shows I just sort of burned out on it after a season or 2, they just don't suck you in like Breaking Bad or the Sopranos did. I did recently watch The Newsroom for the first time and got through that pretty quick, only 25 episodes or so not sure why it was so short lived. Maybe it's time for a swing back to movies being the big thing again but yeah have to get out of this comic book stuff. You may be right. The last year hasn't been that great but I'll throw Better Call Saul against any show out there right now. If anyone is into mafia crime dramas (and doesn't mind subtitles) there's a good one on HBO Max called Gomorrah. For sure, I had Hulu live which didn't have AMC so waiting for season 5 on netflix right now. It's been so long since season 4 that I forgot how good it was until you mentioned it, I probably need to rewatch to catch up. That is a problem with a lot of shows these days, it shouldn't take 2 years for a new season.

I like Bosch, I always seem to blow through the new seasons in just a few days. It sort of tries to be The Wire but lacks the humor and memorable characters. I think pulling off the comedy is what separates the truly great crime dramas like Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Wire, Deadwood, Justified, Saul, Boardwalk Empire, maybe The Shield need to watch that again. Those shows are all hilarious and that's what makes them worth a second watch. Just finished Homeland, it's a solid final season.

The Home Run Inn is what prompted my complaint about no cardboard trays in the bugging you thread but I have to admit it was a pretty tasty frozen pizza, I don't like a lot of sauce and it seemed just right in that regard. It also gave me a stomachache a few hours later and it happened with both the sausage and the pepperoni so that takes it way off my best list. Also, I didn't really care for Lotza Mottza but after hearing about the Taco Grande here I got one and threw some romaine, sour cream, and taco sauce on it and it was awesome.

I have never had T-Jo's, but then I have always lived on the south side and haven't lived here for most of my adult life either. I am going to try it soon though, can never try enough new pizza. I am sort of craving a slice of Rocky's sausage since reading this thread but I have to go up to the north side for that now too. There used to be a Happy Joe's take out place down by the brewery that had similar slices to Rocky's, square and doughy, I really loved that place. Looks like that chain is still around but the pizza pictures on their website don't look anything like I remember.

Rocky's sausage is amazing but I don't care for all that dough, there has to be better balance. I had both Pizza Hut and Papa Johns once in the last few years ad couldn't stomach more than a couple of pieces. Pizza Pit LOL we used to order that after bar when I was in my early 20's, greasiest pizza ever but hit the spot at that time. For my hometown favorite South Lanes Pizza in La Crosse is the best in town, the sausage pepperoni is perfection. Best pizza I ever had was at these mediterranean places in Minneapolis, there was one right next door to First Avenue downtown and one Uptown in the 90's. The gyro, the eggplant, the spinach, they were all amazing. Not sure if they are still around, I doubt it.

I have heard that same comment describing Spartacus which I haven't seen, must be a Starz thing. I watched Black Sails and liked it but I like a lot of those period dramas like Vikings, Deadwood, Rome, etc.

I think it's a couple of years old but have been listening to the latest Unsane album, a band I used to get into on the 90's that I had forgotten all about. One of the great noise bands, always great to see bands like them are still touring and putting out records. Other than that I think a new Mastodon record is due out this year, one of the few bands I still keep tabs on. Sort of embarrassing how little new music I listen to considering how much time I spent in the 90's going to shows and buying new records. I don't care for country either but friends whose music opinions I respect are into Chris Stapleton and I am sure there are a few other that are good. I am sure there is lots of new hip hop I would like but if I am in the mood for rap I am more likely to look into some older stuff that I missed at the time rather than looking into what's new.
