  1. Just delayed the inevitable. Yeah offense going to need to close this out
  2. We haven't been great closing teams out on the defensive side. I am fully expecting to sweat this one out.
  3. Yeah geez that missed tackle should have been what they spent 30 seconds talking about, at least force him to the sideline.
  4. Yeah, that would have been a game changer. 90 yards, chewed up the clock took a 10 point lead, defense needs to shut them down here and we can breath a little easier.
  5. I've definitely seen them call less obvious catches catches. I have always questioned when "control" is established but it seems like they usually count it the second it hits their hand if they don't bobble it, by that measure this looked like a catch to me. Probably doesn't matter much but Rodgers had been deadly in those late little time situations.
  6. If that was a WR they would have called it catch
  7. Hard to say from the angle they showed but seems like we got hosed there. They never call that ticky tack stuff on offense
  8. So due to watching on Hulu and seeing this before the play I was fearing a TD return. Just to the 30? meh
  9. For all the trickery it was a close thing, both getting the ball to Lazard and getting it in. Whew, wasn't feeling great about a 4th down
  10. Well they gave him a little past the 50 I thought but I don't know where the stick was
  11. Completely not showing up in a couple of road games every year seems to be an MLF specialty so far but it's early. Defense needs to step up here.
  12. 18 straight red zone TD's now? Have to be approaching some record
  13. I mean I don't even know if the receiver gets to that ball and Yiadom drags him down
  14. Maybe a likely Rodgers destination? Not the west coast but a great place to be a rich celebrity and a franchise that really needs a shot in the arm and would give up a lot.
  15. That is good news, seems like maybe Bak is going to need more time reading between the lines of an article on him this week.
  16. I know it's been a rough week but cmon it's the Bears! Somehow they are 3-2, Packers 6 point favorites. A beatdown of the Bears is just what the doctor ordered. King out, Jenkins questionable.
  17. Back in the 80's some guy shot one all the way down near La Crescent during deer hunting season. He claimed it was charging him. Well he did get charged but it was by the DNR a couple of days later, I am sure that had a pretty hefty penalty. It surprises me that there is no stable population in northern Wisconsin while there is in both Minnesota and the UP.
  18. So Arizona would be up north? I thought we were talking about Wisconsin. Florida has black bears too. Basically I would say for Wisconsin it's where agriculture gives way to woods which can vary especially in central WI but it pretty much lines up with the bear range.
  19. If there are bears in the woods around you are up north.
  20. In the NFL the Packers are pretty much the poster child of playing the long game and making the playoffs every year rather than going all in for one season at the expense of future seasons. It's been more glaring as Rodgers career is closer to the end and maybe is at the heart of the feud between him and management. I was in support of trading Rodgers this offseason as this last NFCC failure really soured me on our chances to get it done with him anymore. But the season is here and I happy he is back and we are winning so maybe calling these things after a playoff failure isn't such a great time. It was a fun ride this year, I was worried about the offense being our undoing and now that it happened seems obvious that it was going to be an issue when we hit playoff quality pitching. Unlike the Packers hard to criticize the Brewers for not spending in an unlevel playing field so making the playoffs as much as possible is probably our only ticket in. It sucks, I really wish the Brewers would see this pitching staff as their chance to really raise payroll and get it done but I am sure they will make some of their usual moves and I will be optimistic next spring again. It's not like they didn't try to add the big bat or even Scherzer, just again they are at a disadvantage even when the are willing to spend the resources as the big markets and coasts are just more attractive destinations for guys who can choose where they go.
  21. Well, I get why you think it is funny as it is predictable but Jaire returning at all this season is a question mark and Gilmore was totally going to sign with the Packers if released but was traded. Stokes has been bright spot but we seem to be a bit snake bitten at CB right now. Obviously, I’d rather have King at 100% the rest of the year. But I do find it laughable that he injures his shoulder (the very same injury he came into the league with) when all heck is breaking loose … because of course, right? Yeah I was so worried about the shoulder early in his career but that sort of went away but he still misses numerous games. Guy gets hurt on Friday walk throughs.
